5 The First Obstacle

Nodus lift his arm to look at the map as he walks down the stairs.

'If the energy is enough to power my phase matter, I could easily digitize my way through the mountain...'

After taking a glance at the 2 girls sleeping, Nodus looked toward the entrance of the hut and stood in front of the door quietly.

'Why is it not sliding??? Is the door out of power...?'

Supporting his chin with his arm, Nodus encounters his first challenge.

'I can force my way out but...I don't want to break their weird looking door...'

While debating on what he should do, Luru slowly opened her eyes, and as she turns toward Ali, she noticed a blurry figure standing in front of her door. She quickly rubbed her eyes and made out who it was.

'It's her-him!!'

"E..Excuse m-"

'Damn, the child woke up.'

*Bang!*

Lifting up his hand against the entrance, Nodus slightly pushed forward and sent the door flying, crashing into a tree of the forest and shattered into pieces

Times to escape before the adult arrives.

Hearing the loud crash, Lati quickly woke up and ran down from her room.

"What's wrong dear?!"

Lati only noticed Ali and Luru, who was staring at the broken door. The blue haired woman quickly ran out of the door, saw the cracked wooden door and bare footprints.

'The child left?...'

Lati cast a green colored magic graph with her hands and slowly raising it toward the sky.

Discovering Winds!

A wave of cold wind quickly blew in every direction around the blue haired woman.

'Gone...how..?'

The wind traveled through every inch of the forest at a maximum distance of 1000miles and it couldn't find any moving beings, including Nodus, who was falling down from the sky.

'Who would have known that this massive planet had a weak gravity force...I was too busy with my energy problem...If only my suit had energy.'

When Nodus arrived outside of the hut, he just wanted to leap onto the snow-covered tree to travel through the forest, but alas, the gravity was merely too different compared to his world, so he accidentally flew to the bottom of the mountain.

Leaving a small dent on the snowy ground, Nodus remained unhurt by the 600 meters fall. He stood still, closing his eyes as he gathers his power.

Gazing at the trees in front of him, Nodus golden eyes radiated a dim glow. The trees around him shook fiercely and soared into the sky. Nodus than lifted his hand and slowly clenching into a fist. The trees quickly halted their position and began to decrease in size, compressing into a small tiny wooden orb. He gently flicked his finger, and the wooden pellet flew toward the other rooted trees.

'Mhmm, the laws do not affect me significantly.'

He slowly made his way toward the mountain, passing through the small forest that looked like a huge beast went into a rampage and swiped through all the trees, breaking them in half.

After a couple of steps, he arrived at the marked entrance, it was covered by small rocks, as if it came from within the cave itself.

Looking at his 3D map once again, Nodus physically dug his way into the cave by throwing the rocks one by one as if they were weightless leaves. There we go. Patting away the dirt and dust from his hand, he slowly walks into the cave.

"Turn on flashlight, pocket mode."

A big ray of light came from the wristwatch as he pointed toward the directing of his path. Quickly arriving at the first red node, he turned on the E-Ray vision from his watch and scanned the walls.

There it is. Shoving his hand into the wall, as his hand penetrated something harder than the rocky walls, he pulled out a glossy silver stone that was 3 times the size of his head.

"Absorb."

A swarm of black cable came out from his watch and easily made its way into the silver rock and instantly vaporize the stone into silver sand, falling onto the ground.

'5% Hmm.. only 4% for the most significant node in this mountain...'

"Activate Phase Matter."

Nodus extended his right hand as a black substance quickly crawl into the middle of his palm and formed a solid device.

The device looked like a black gun, the muzzle was square flat with a dark glass panel on the front, and the rear sight was a projected screen that was transparent. On the side, it had a circular bump with an arrow pointing at the *i* letter engraved on the surface of the device and a regular trigger.

Nodus pulled the trigger as he pointed the device on the tunnel wall.

"Register, Normal rocks - Mountain"

The projected screen that was displaying three *???* symbol changed to *◔,◑,◕ *

As soon the circle was entirely black, the display information changed to *Scanning complete > Normal Rocks - Mountain*

'Hmm? That was fast..the rocks are far too ordinary.'

Without hesitation, he lifted the phase matter and flicked the arrow toward the letter *d* and the muzzle glass changed into a red color. Pew, the tunnel wall crumbles into tiny pebbles, leaving a perfect square area carved into the tunnel wall. The new entrance was big enough to fit Nodus and as he went through the 5 meters deep tunnel.

Meanwhile, as Nodus carved his way through the mountain, a middle-aged man with short dark gray hair and a greatsword on his back was slowly making his way through the little forest at the bottom of the mountain.

'Ay...Avoiding the village to go home makes it so much longer.. I wish I could fly like those old geezers in the kingdom... I must tell my wife and child the excellent news!'

The middle-aged man noticed something wrong in the little forest and quickly sprinted toward the mountain.

'Was it a battle... No.. Maybe an angry beast that was dormant?...No matter, I have to hurry home!'

At the doorsteps of the wooden hut, the blue-haired woman and the two little girls covered in sweat were having a serious conversation.

"Mom, I went back to the hill and even around it, sh-he wasn't there, not even footprints below the hill!"

Luru was holding onto her mother's arm while Ali rested her hands on her knees as she tries to catch more air before talking.

"Uff..Me..too aunty Lati, I went to the village, and they all told me they didn't see any foreigners."

"Looks like your silly dad is here."

The dad slowed down and held his daughter toward the sky as he continuously pecked her cheeks.

"Muah,muah!! Dad missed you my little snow princess."

Luru giggled and held her dad face

"Dad..please stop .. my friend is watching"

As the father and daughter happily chatted, the middle-aged man felt a strong aura behind him and froze.

"Oh my.. Naire... You went out to get food, and here you are... Late and no food... You are sleeping outside hmmp."

The blue haired woman crossed her arms angrily and walked into the house.

" Ah, no no sweet honey, please listen.."

As her dad kept calling her mom with funny, lovely names, Luru and Ali giggled together. The middle-aged man patted Ali's head as he followed the wife into the house.

"What about that person? Should we keep looking for him?"

Ali asked as she stared at Luru.

"Hmmm... Let's look around a little bit more and come back... I think my parents need sometimes."

Knowing her parents so well, Luru held Ali's hand and went around the forest.

In the wooden hut, the blue-haired woman sat on the half-broken chair as she looks at her husband kneeling.

" That girl... She's so considerate.."

After turning her attention from the door, her angry face was back to a regular gentle expression.

"Mhmm...We raised her well..and led her through this suffering..but now.."

Naire stood up and gave a big smile to his wife. Lati who curiosity roused stared at her husband.

" I found it, my ancestor tomb."

Lati rushed to her husband, and they held each other tightly.

"Tha..that's wonderful my love.."

The blue haired woman quietly cried in her husband embrace. Naire slowly stroked her hair as he whispered to her ear.

"Mhmm, after I get my ancestor inheritance I can surely make a breakthrough and return our life back...Or even better than before!"

"Surely...? Silly you are only 36, but you are already at the peak Advance warrior and the youngest at that... My love, believe in yourself as much as I do, because I know you can do it."

Lati looked at her husband black eyes that sparkled with passion as she caressed his defined cheekbones, Lati gently kissed his lips.

Ali and Luru were peeking at the couple behind the door frame while the villagers do not interact much in public, leaving Ali clueless Luru with a red face.

"They..they are showing affection.."

She whispered quietly onto Ali's ears.

After their romantic kiss, the couple turned toward the door as they held their hands together.

" Mom !"

Luru left her hiding spot and ran to hug her mother.

"Mom, me and Ali went around again, and we couldn't find he-him."

Naire who was beside, curiously asked.

"Who are you looking for Luru?"

Luru explained to her dad about the eventful night of the falling star.

"What!?"

After revealing a shocked expression, Naire quickly thought about something.

"Ah! I get it, that boy must of went through the back of the mountains."

Explained that he came through the little torn down forest, Lati and Luru revealed a worried expression.

"Don't worry..even if it was a magical beast, I did not even see a hint of blood, much less a corpse, I am sure he is fine."

Naire held his daughter's hand and said.

"Anyway, let's go find your savior!"

'Then I will look for their hideout and destroy every single savages hehehe.'

Before he could pass through the door, Luru quickly tugged her hand away and ran to hold her mom's instead

"Bleh, dad is a pervert."

Said Luru with her tongue out as she smiled.

"Me..? Pervert?... Bu..-But...It was your mom wh-"

After feeling the glare of his wife, Naire quickly swallowed his words and left the wooden hut with a sigh of defeat.

"Sigh... Ali, you want to come with uncle?"

The little girl who was standing beside the door quickly nodded and held his hand.

"Uncle, uncle, can you tell me about your trip?"

The uncle revealed a smile as he nodded.
