93 The Connections - 1

Meanwhile, in the broken planet, the clouds returned to the skies as the transport boats returned from the edge of the ocean.

"Remain calm, the war has passed!"

A man in a green robe shouted at the densely packed citizens that were almost all mortals as he signaled the armored guards to lower the front plank of the ship that also acted as a door.

"People first, then carriages."

While the clouds obstructed the vision of everyone on the planet, the sect masters who were powerful enough to pry through the clouds witnessed everything, including the battle against Bacis who was interrupted by an unknown ray of light.

"Mother..Will Nodus be alright?"

Green was helping her adoptive mother settling down the citizens who just arrived at the harbor.

"Yes, I think he is more than fine.."

Green ran back to the guards who helped the elderly to carry their stuff while Vaneria remained in her carriage seat as she pondered about an old legend.

'Was that the light of the holy protectors..? Is the legend of the light emperor real?'

The words that were passed down by Lotus Prime still existed even now after thousands of years, the legendary existence of a mighty empire that watched over hundreds of realms.

Meanwhile, the hidden hideout that initially belonged to the Howling sect was utterly obliterated after Bacis crash-landed onto the mountains.

"Sect master... What should we do now?"

The elders and disciples stretched out around the craters as they stared at the deepest part of the pit with a sense of loss.

"Damn it!"

The sect master screamed in sorrow that shook the mountain before sitting down on the ground as he stared at the colorful pile of dust in the crater.

'Everything is destroyed! Even the rare resources in the storage room..'

The other sect masters who had a better fortune than the Howling sect were all staring at the sky as they thought about the future of their world.

"Every sect masters, I have urgent news."

The supreme being heard a voice in their head that echoed softly before fading away.

'Is it because of the legend of the light domain?..'

The coral sect master left his palace which was hidden in the deep waters before flying toward the Joyful Lake city like everyone else who received the message.

"Bai An... Are you sure we have to follow the senior?"

Bai Cai was reluctant to approach Nodus as she couldn't tell what he was planning with his sleepy face was.

After flipping every seat and bursting into every private resting areas, the two woman could not find anything other than foreign technology that they never encountered.

"I am sure... That senior seems to know about these things... We can maybe trade something in exchange for pieces of information."

Bai An was also worried, but she prioritized the princess over anything else as she made her way through the vast open space lobby that used to be the central parking station.

Nodus finally arrived at the back of the ship, and before opening the gate of the engines, he noticed the two girls within the hall that was filled with tubes and pipes.

"There!-"

Bai Cai pointed at Nodus, but her mouth was immediately covered by Bai An.

"Shhh, let the senior finish his things first.."

They heard a familiar crushing metal sound before peeking their heads over the hall.

"What is that..."

As soon Nodus tore the door apart, the entire hall was illuminated by a bright orange light that came from the giant engine that was attached to a liquid-based generator.

Nodus ignored the enormous round engine as he made his way toward the transparent tube that contained a green gel-like substance.

"Scanning... Aecury, 100% Match."

"Oh.. 200 liters per tank..."

The two girls were curious as they heard Nodus surprised expression that was awfully quiet.

"That is perfect for my industrial plans.."

Nodus yawned as he summoned White Jade to transfer the liquid through a thin, smooth pipe.

"Don't eat it...Fine, you can have 1 tank."

The White Jade needed at least to be above 60% to fully function properly as it complained to Nodus that it almost reached down to 59% with all the travelings and especially, after using the Aureol particle beam on the first carrier.

The reasons why they could not detect the particle beam was merely because it was not truly a beam but a dust filled with powerful particles that could travel with the speed of light, the Aureol beam was invented by one of his sly ancestor who tricked everyone by giving it a false name.

Bai An and Bai Cai waited for the smooth ship to disappear into the void before stepping in through the gate.

"I am sorry to bother you, senior... But-"

Nodus turned around and flaunted his long silky hair.

"You can have the entire ship."

The two woman gulped as they stared at each other before their gaze finally landed back on Nodus who was slowly approaching them.

"The entire ship...? We couldn't do that senior.."

Bai Cai waved her hands as she tried to refuse the offer kindly.

As the young man arrived right in front of them, the two woman were rooted on the spot as they stared at the beautiful face of Nodus.

"Scanning.."

"Ah??!"

Bai Cai was surprised by the sudden movement of the young man who pulled out a black device to scan their necklace while Bai An came up with an idea.

'The senior seems to be interested in our voice of light..'
