7 Teaching

In the wooden hut, around the kitchen table, Lati was teaching Nodus the most common language used in this continent, and it was known by many other races, eilium. Ali who knew how to speak but did not know how to read nor write took the opportunity to learn with Nodus.

"And that's the last alphabet.."

Lati was teaching Nodus how to write every single alphabet once, and she marked them the correct pronunciation. After 3 hours, the sky turned orange as the sun hid behind the mountains on the edge of the horizon.

"Dinner time everyone."

Said Naire as he brought a pyramid of grilled meat on a huge white plate that barely fit the doorway. Luru followed up behind him carrying a big bamboo steamer.

"There is rice as well!"

With a sense of pride, Luru and Naire put down the food on the table.

"Wahh uncle Naire, where did you get the meat from? Is it that..."

Before Ali could finish her question, she heard Naire laughing.

"Hahaha, no silly, that cat woke up and left, this is just a normal wild board."

Ali felt relief as she did not want to eat such a cute thing began to dig in the plate of meat and rice.

Hmmm, it's edible but a little bit too salty, Nodus was paying attention more toward the paper filled with scribbles that he was holding in one hand than the food.

"Z1, register and organize the language, put it under Eilium, world, currently untitled."

Noticing the flash on Nodus wrist, Lati who was sitting beside him, curiously pointed at his watch. Nodus put the paper on the table and moved his arm toward the blue-haired woman.

Lati held his wrist noticed a circle on the monitor as it was being filled with something black, as the ring turned completely black, she suddenly heard a robotic voice.

"Hello planet dwellers, my name is Nodus."

Ahh! the Luru and co jumped off and stood behind their chair with a bewilderment expression.

"D...didn't you just learn the language for 3 hours.."

Luru who was shocked, asked Nodus while stuttering. Nodus tilted his arm to see his watch, and a few seconds later he shook his head and pointed at his watch.

"Hello, I am Z1, I will translate and speak with you until my master, Nodus fully learns the language."

Ali and Naire eyes sparkled as they stood behind Nodus.

"Wow.. a spirit artifact ...is speaking?"

Nodus looked at the translated words and gave a slight nod to the watch.

"Correct, I am called Z1, this is my master, Nodus, may we ask for your names."

As the robotic voice ended, Lati held Nodus hand with hers and gently said:

"You are welcome child, I am Lati, this is.."

The so-called dwellers happily introduce themselves and sat back down around the table. Now that they can interact, Ali and Luru threw a barrage of questions at Nodus

"No...Nodus... May I know how old are you?"

Ali inquired politely. The family stopped eating and looked at Nodus as they were all too curious about a young man that came from the star.

"I am 16 years old." Said Z1 who replied for Nodus.

"Eh!! How is that possible !"

Luru and Ali stood up from the revelation as they surrounded Nodus and carefully study the young man who was supposedly 2-3 years older than them.

"What! I thought you were just a pretty child around Luru's age, what a shocker."

Naire, with a serious expression, was nodding with his eyes closed. Seeing the veins and a creepy smile on Nodus, Lati quickly patted his head.

"He meant to say you are a handsome young man, and it's good to look young...Naire stops making fun of Nodus and goes repair the door will you."

Luru and Ali laughed at the middle-aged man sad expression as he dragged himself out of the hut as they couldn't blame him either because Nodus was just a head taller than them while Luru and Ali were the same height. He is older than me... Luru became slightly happier for some reason.

"It's getting late, Luru, would you be alright if Nodus uses your room?"

Luru nodded without a single thought.

"Good girl, I will tell your dad to go buy a soft bed in the closest city tomorrow and maybe expand this old place a little bit."

"Aunty... Can I tag along with uncle tomorrow???"

Ali asked with a big smile plastered on her face and sparkly eyes.

"Sure...How about ... You 3 go together and bring Nodus with you, It should be fun, right Nodus?"

Ali happily held Luru and Nodus hand as she jumps in joy. Nodus gave a thoughtful nod and walked toward the door.

"As I broke this door, I will be the one to fix it."

Lati held the dishes as she worriedly said.

" Don't worry Nodus, you shouldn't-."

Before she could finish her words.

" Don't worry miss Lati, I can fix this in less than 1 minute."

Luru and Ali followed the young man as they were curious how he could fix it quickly.

Nodus walked out of the hut and looked around, only to see Naire chopping down a tree with a small ax in his hand.

'Why is he not using his sword or any qi... could it be he knows the way of nature..?'

Without overthinking it, Nodus strolled toward Naire and held his black devices. With the arrow toward the *i* a quick flash of light flew into the almost cut down trunk and spread upward with little square graph fading out slowly.

"Register on, Simple Wood - Tree."

With a flick of his thumb, he set the arrow on *d* and shot the trunk again, this times it decomposed the tree into a pile of sand.

"Wooooow"

The two little girls let out a startled expression while Naire was quietly watching.

Nodus turn back and walk past the girls as he flicked the arrow to the *s* this times and pointed it at the door. He closed his eyes and pulled the trigger.

"Image success, now printing"

with a quick flash of blue light, a wooden door appeared on the ground right beside the doorway, the door looked exactly like how it was before it crashed into the forest tree.

"So magical..."

Ali who never seen a magic artifact, much less an advance phase matter device was really impressed. Naire put his ax into his ring and happily walk toward Nodus and tried to pat his head, only to realize Nodus dodged the hand.

"Hahaha, Looks like I just need to nail the door now."

The middle-aged man went upstairs as he laughed embarrassingly as the two little girls giggled quietly together at this duo.

"My my, what a useful artifact, not only it can talk, it can also create things.."

Lati who finished washing the plate a while ago witnessed the door being made out of thin air on the ground.

"I will be back tomorrow morning."

Said Z1 as Nodus turned around, Luru held his hand.

"It will be dark soon... It will be dangerous."

Nodus turned around and stared at the little blue girl. Before Nodus could reply, Lati walked forward and gave Nodus a thin red talisman paper.

"This is the front, pointed it forward the danger and rip it in half..all right?"

Lati pointed at the decorated side of the paper and put it into his hand.

Nodus nodded, and Luru hesitantly let go of his hand.

"Mom...Are you sure he is going to be fine? Shouldn't I go with him??"

Luru who was worried about the young man looked at her mom with a sad expression.

"Oh my Luru, he said he will be back in the morning, could it be...-"

Luru who understood her mom, blushed and turned around with her arms cross.

"Mom, stop making fun of me ... It's-"

Before she could finish her phrase, Lati gently held her from the back.

"Don't worry dear... Don't you remember how he sent that beast and your dad flying..? I suspect that Nodus is a magician."

Luru turned around with a confused expression.

Ali stood quietly and listened as she does not know anything much related to magic.

Convinced, Luru went back into the hut and slept early with Ali, preparing for the trip tomorrow while the two adults sat in front of the cabin.

"I told the girls to bring Nodus and tag along with you."

Naire gently held her hand and looked at her with a severe expression.

"It will be dangerous... Who knows what kind of trap my ancestor left behind... And I don't have the key since they took it..."

The blue haired woman gently held his cheek and gave a quick kiss.

"Don't worry my love... They may have the key but not the location...And besides.. How could my genius husband lose against some old traps."

The two couple chuckled as they stared at the stars.

"Are you sure you want me to bring the kids?"

The woman replied as she kept her gaze onto the brightest star.

"Mhmm... I was actually thinking of leaving them in my cousin's care, get them to go to school there, and after that, I will come with you to the tomb. "

The husband who had a guilty expression looked at the side of his wife's face.

"What if they come back to search through the city..what if something happens to me, who will look after our daughter?... You don-"

At the broken forest, a young man, wearing a black helmet, in a uniform decorated with gold and a cross symbol.

"Scan the prints and track it"

Within his helmet, the golden orange visor was displaying an outline of the leopard's footprints on the ground.

"Footprints found, target direction: South"

The surrounding was visible as day within his vision as he followed a trail of footprints.

"Hopefully it did not go too far."
