66 Ry'ia

The young girl who wore a white top that revealed her belly and a pair of thin white pants crawled on four as she looked down the island.

"Wow... Really?" The curious girl was not only innocent but also lonely as she did not have any friends ever since they hid away from the world.

"Yes , my name is Nodus." Although his reply was short , Ry'ia still felt like it belong to a cute child as she answered with her name. "Nice to meet you Nodus! My name is Ry'ia!..Although we haven't met yet , still! pleased to meet you!"

Nodus could already tell that Ry'ia didn't have many interactions by hearing her silly reply and excited voice. "Ry'ia is it.. Were you born all the way up there and where do you get food from?"

The young man was really curious on how they could grow anything within that high elevated islands that most likely has a slim amount of oxygen. "Hehehe.. I was born in the White Soaring kingdom and we have farmers who grows food.. Isn't it the same for ground dwellers down there?"

Ry'ia didn't hesitate and revealed many important secrets of their world. "And.. and.. Can I also ask some question?" He agreed while he was still processing the information and possibilities.

"Is it true that the ocean is always blue and beautiful , is there alot of big trees , magical flowers..tasty dishes..-" The white and black haired girl asked a bunch of question and Nodus patiently answered everything that he knew , if he came across a unknown one he would just relate it to his home planet.

"And how is Nodus talking to me? I can hear your voice beside my ears but I can't see you at all!" The girl peeked down the clouds and still couldn't find Nodus.

"It's a magic I made , can't you just come down here if you are that curious?" Nodus tricked her into answering many question and came into a conclusion that the moons were a result from the ancient war against the bugs.

'A planet that can regenerate..? This doesn't feel like a god body so how..' Nodus knew that he couldn't base the basic knowledge from this universe with his as he knew that everything isn't absolute and always had a possibilities.

"Booo.. I wish I could come down too.. It's so boring here and my sister is always busy with her academy.."

"There is only be down here and I promise that I won't tell anyone."

"I...Can't.. It's a rule that has been passed down from the guardians.. We have to always stay up here and be alert as the unknown enemy always lurks in the dark skies , said the legend stone." Apparently in every big island had a kingdom and in every kingdom it had a ancient monument for the ones who fought through the war.

"So it's the same writing in every monument?"

Although he couldn't see her , he could tell that she was nodding as he heard a 'Mhmm' sound.

"But there must be plenty of people up there keeping watch right? Even if you saw something , how will you alert them?"

Ry'ia felt into a deep thought as she remembered that this island is part of her uncle territory. "Nodus is right.. Even if I spot a enemy , I am sure everyone in my uncle sky could also see them..But how will I be able to get back up..?"

Even though she sounded convinced , Nodus simply told her that he could bring her back up. 'I can just fly F-1 up..' Looking at the clear blue water , Nodus made up his mind and told her about it.

"But.. but.. Other than us and some extreme seniors or flying beast , no one else can reach up this high and I am too weak so I can only fly for an hours unlike my sister..."

"You are afraid of something?" Nodus could feel like the curious girl was hiding something as it didn't fit his initial impression.

"*Sigh*... It's because of the valkyries.. If they find Nodus flying up this high they will surely capture you depending on your answers.."

"There is people who patrols the sky?" Nodus was surprised as the sky was so wide.

"Yes , they are part of the private army , my uncle gave me this island but it's still under his territory... you see.." As she went on , Nodus found out that Ry'ia was also part of a noble bloodline and that her uncle had around 20 islands within his territory.

"One of them is even a kingdom!" Being an owner of a kingdom presents the image of a strong and powerful ruler even though it wasn't the highest rank , Ry'ia's uncle still had millions of people under him.

"I see.. So you are at the bottom layer because you decided so?" Although he didn't want to pry any further , Nodus couldn't help but wonder about their society levels.

Just like the regular atmosphere , the island she was on could be considered the bottom of the stratosphere of this planet and with a little guess from her explanations , Nodus assumed that the highest one at the thermosphere could be considered the elite ranked ones.

The elite ones should be the first line of defense if in case they got invaded again so their morality should be different from the people below. 'The commander or boss tends to be behind his army while these moons people are the opposite..'

He could tell that the guardians of the war really affected these people as they were partly the reasons of why they lived up here , with many lonely and desolated floating lands.

Even though the kingdoms island were filled with hundreds of thousands people , it was still a little number for the vast sky unlike the ocean that houses even more living being combined on the entire planet.

"And.. Because of something , my sister decided to stay away from the public and yeah.. Here I am!" Nodus remained quiet after he heard the depressed voice.

"Then.. How about I bring you half way up?" After a while , Nodus suggested a safer way to bring her back and she immediately agreed with one condition.

"I have to use a lot of mana to go down so you have to be with me the whole times and become my first friend!!" Ry'ia wanted Nodus to agree to be with her until at least she recovered enough mana to fly again.

"I promise you , but.. If you can trust me , I can catch you if you want to jump down-.." Before he could even finish reassuring her , Ry'ia already jumped down from the edge as he noticed the energy node quickly coming down along the water.

"Aih.. Young children.." He pulled his DeathCast and shot the ground. With a big red magic array drawn on the water surface , the air suddenly blew up like a strong gust of tornado as the young man stood in the middle of the magic circle.

With his magic robe remained the same as it was also air resistance , Nodus held his arms forward as he stared up the clouds.
