The griffin told him that the most dangerous seasons of all , the chaotic season lasted only for about 30 days. The dense group of cloud came from a foreign lands within the horizon of the ocean once every year after the main winter seasons. The cloud would make the sky turn green and cover the entire continent , every living beings would take cover from the green stones that rains from the could as it could transform them into mindless killers that would eat anything in sight. 'That would be another reason for the barrier..'

"Then what is with the chain and why are you here." The young man touched the big black chain and felt a sense of coldness that went through his suit. 'It can penetrate the nano fibers..' The griffin released a sigh as it shook his head. "I don't know what is this exactly....When I was flying around , I noticed the chaotic storm approaching faster than usual , with no where else to stay , I found this ravine and hid in here." Deeper within the ravine was a gigantic tunnel that stretched out very far , the griffin made it's why until it saw a old green looking gate and when it got closer , a black chain came from the wall and chased the beast. Before it could fly away , the chain wrapped around it's leg and kept it down the ravine for more than a year.

"Then a monster came by and threw a stone at me after seeing that I couldn't move." After scanning the chain , Nodus noticed that it took more times than usual for the black loading circle to fill up. "What are monsters?" The young man stood in front of the cave as he gather more details from the griffin and it turns out that the radioactive stone weren't the only danger about the storm. From times to times , the storm would reanimate the corpses that has been buried or left behind and they became killing monsters. Even bones weren't left behind as it could also turn into a monster. Burning the corpse or covering it with a simple magic graph would prevent the chaotic storm to turn them into monsters.

The brainless monster who held no fear toward death , would attack anyone else in sight and with a simple scratch , it could contaminate any living being that it came in contact with."Is there no cure?" The griffin nodded and explained that a strong healing spell could cure the infection before the person became a monster , but to cure a monster that transformed from the infection was only in the legends. "It was said only a supreme healing spell could turn a monster back to normal , of course it won't revive the already dead ones."

'Interesting.. It's like one of those ghoul infested planet i've been to.' The wristwatch flashed as it revealed a small paragraph of information. "Materials unknown , age , ancient." Surprised by the age of the metal , Nodus decided to go deeper into the ravine to see that door that the griffin mentioned. 'Something that is older than 100 000 years old huh..' Ignoring the griffin warnings , the young man arrived at the core of the chain and looking past that , he saw a broken down pillars that curved toward each other. "That must be the gate it was talking about.. Scan 1 KM and long distance analyze." Past the gates , the tunnel was a dead end but the good news was the walls and ceiling were filled with energy nodes.

After a long ten minute of scanning. "Materials Unknown , Based on structure and energy wave , it resembles highly to a ancient teleportal." Past the two pillars , a round platform could be seen with a flat top. At the center of the platform , there was a dozen of foreign scribbles that went curved all around the round platform. Suddenly at the center of the platform lit up with a bright blue color. "We.. Found....You.." Nodus heard a weird voice that was blurred with noises. The light quickly faded away and the black chain behind Nodus began to glow in red. Seeing that the two pillar crumbled away completely and hearing the howl of the griffin , Nodus quickly ran back toward the entrance in the ravine.

The griffin broke free from the chains that left behind a burnt mark around the back leg. "Finally free..." The griffin noticed the tiny human who came out from the tunnel. "You have saved and freed me , I am in your debt , thank you , once again.." The griffin scuffle through it's feathery fur on his neck and pulled a big golden feather. "In return for this feather , I will do one thing you ask." Nodus walked toward the feather slowly falling down. With a press of a button on his neck , his helmet disappeared and everything turned dark. Catching the feather that was bigger than his arm , Nodus felt a sense of warmth and nodded toward the griffin. "My name is Taphar , I have to urgently make my way to my tribe , forgive me for not keeping you company and put a drop of your blood on my feather!"

Taphar climbed up the ravine and spread it's long wings as it flew away in the clear skies. "I shall remember your face and scent forever!" Seeing that the 50 meters tall beast could easily fly , Nodus understood that it has something to do with the wind element , just like that small tornado from before. "Magic is very unscientific..." The young man poked his cheek and rubbed his blood on the giant feather. The feather glowed even brighter , illuminating the walls on the ravine as it transformed into a streak of light and went inside his chest. With a surprised expression , Nodus quickly focused on his dantian and noticed a giant group of stars above his galaxy. The stars shined brightly as tiny lines stretched out and connected to each other. 'A drawing...?' The stars made a rough outline of the griffin in the darkness of his dantian space.

Nodus spectral image felt a sense of attraction as the light from the stars flew into him , engraving him a new set of information in his head. "Blessing of the Griffin , the Lofty Sky Steps." Going through his new memory , Nodus opened his eyes and smiled. With a jump , Nodus seemingly landed on a invisible platform as he stood in midair without falling down. "A blessing gave me a new innate skill.. Why would I ever return it." The new magic he acquired resembles to the anti air boots he made for Sasha , the only differences would be energy consumption."It require a grain of sand amount of mana to use this skill for a day.. That practically mean I can stand in the air forever."

Recovering more mana that he can consume , Nodus was happy for the second times after landing in this planet. His smile faded away as he sat cross legged in mid air. "This sound!" Nodus went back into his dantian and noticed a gigantic gate that was ten times bigger than his galaxy. Upon seeing the gate , he was puzzled but still took action as he flew straight and punched the gate. Boom! Boom! The gate slowly opened inward as the tiny Nodus punched his way in. "AHHH!" His energy spread out as he exerted all of his qi and ki into his fist. BOOOOM! Half of the gate broke away from the gateway as it disappeared inward. Drying out all of his qi , Nodus felt physically tired as he floated infront of the gate.

"Finally.." A wave of energy flew out from the game. As the energy crashed on Nodus , he spread his arms and let the incoming wave of dust go inside of him from every inch of his pores. After hours of absorbing , the gate shattered into a cloud of sand and flew to the center of his galaxy and more stars appeared as the galaxy became denser with the center star being even bigger. The newest stars were black with one faintly glowing stronger and stronger as time goes by. "I see.. That griffon stars gave me a small amount of pure mana and illuminated the remaining stars from my 8th gate , resulting me on breaking through the 9th gate.."

Nodus returned to his usual self and dug all the energy ores he could find. While leaving the living ones alone , Nodus had a small pile of mountain in front of him that consisted of many different ores. "Fuel for my store while the rest will be for materials purposes.." Knowing that he could turn them into printing materials , Nodus stored the ores into his big blue storage and went back to the end of the tunnel. After searching around once more without any result , Nodus destroyed the platform and found many metal wires underneath it. "As I thought.. a message from the past." Pulling them apart into scraps , the young man filled half of the space of his storage box and left the ravine.

As Nodus flew above the forest , Z1 alerted him that Bu One finished his task and waited for him in the newly built shop. "Change of plan , tell Bu One to build a factory cube inside the basement." At first Nodus was planning on keeping his android within the shop and during the night it would be in the basement , crafting the tools by hands with the materials he would purchases from a black smith. With sufficient energy now , he could transfer a plentiful amount of pure energy to Bu One for a factory cube that was a miniature version from the White Jade. The Factory cube would then operate by the solar generator he had the android build and kept on the ceiling. " Calculate cost of energy , including the factory cube." "Current Energy level, 6.2% , Total required , 10%" Nodus ordered Z1 to transfer 10% to the android from White Jade as soon they get into range.

"Ahhh!" Hearing a scream from the ground , Nodus toggled his helmet back on and scanned the forest with his visor. Seeing an group of outlines that was on the edge of the road , he saw a group of human fighting each other while 4 of them were sitting inside of something. "Bandits..?" He changed his course and flew toward the people who were fighting along the road.
