84 Jiang

Nodus stood on top of the roof on the tallest part of the mansion as he watched the thorns that seemingly came out from the void smacking dozen of ships apart as long they were in it's range.

The few remaining soldiers in the main bridge were starting at their screens with a stern expression on their face as they watch the first wave of ships being blown into pieces without even being able to retaliate against the strong sect masters.

"Pull back the scouts and send in squad one."

Bacis cape fluttered when he waved his entire arm as he became even confident after seeing the enemy ancient arsenals.

Even though the supreme cultivators were dreadful , he still held an enormous advantage against those slow and fragile flying warships.

The soldiers relayed his orders through their communication device and the remaining scouts immediately pulled out of the planet as they flew back into space.

Seeing their enemies fleeing off in a hurry manner boosted the morals of the cultivators as they shouted in unison.

"We did it!"

"Hurray!!"

"Those bast*rd!!"

Their injuries and exhaustion did not prevent them from cheering together as they planned to have a big celebration together.

Nodus who was on the roof stood up after hearing the enemy commands from White Jade and shook his head.

"Ignorant , nothing like my soldiers."

Suddenly , Nodus heard the sound of the wind coming from the sky.

*Boom!*

With a single step backward , Nodus moved ten meters as he dodged the person who attacked him without any warning.

"You-..You have the guts to show your face around here."

Nodus heard a calm and soothing voice within the clouds of dust that slowly dissipated into the air.

"..."

Vaneria did not sound angry at all and as the dust completely faded away , she was surprised to see a short person in a weird armor that she had never seen before.

'Could it be that they were just..'

Vaneria lifted her wooden staff and before she could pour her qi into her spell , Green , her daughter who she supposedly sent away stood in front of the young man with her arms spread open.

"Please wait!! Mom , this person is my friend!"

The beautiful lady lowered her weapon and noticed the small fairy who was sitting on Green's shoulder.

"Jiang , that is the fairy of nature..?"

Green nodded and shocked Vaneria who took a deep breath to calm down before turning around.

"Come to the chamber."

Green nodded once again and sighed as she managed to avoid making any eye contact with her adoptive mother.

"I am sorry Nodus , my mom-"

Green realized that Nodus was gone after turning around.

"Perilla , can you find his aura?"

The young girl sighed in defeat and ran after her master who was already at the private chamber.

"My , my , is little Jiang in trouble again?"

A voice came from the doors that were slowly opening.

"Aunt Mai?! You were supposed to be gone with the rest.."

The old maid chuckled as she held on the hands of the young little girl.

Vaneria couldn't hold her tears back and held onto the old maid as she cried.

"It's alright dear.. We don't leave any family behind , remember?"

Green also started to cry as they gathered for a group hug.

After she released her arms from the old maid , Vaneria gaze landed on the young girl and with a gentle smile , she extended her arm.

"Come here Jiang."

Jiang was the real name of Green before she was adopted by her master.

The young girl took a few steps as she was afraid that her mom would scold her for not escaping with the others.

"You silly girl.. How can I ever get mad at you.."

The young Green ran toward her mother and wrapped her arms tightly around her.

"Wahh! I am sorry."

Vaneria stroked the hair of the little girl as she waved her other hand at the old maid to sit down.

After their little reunion , Green finally introduced the tiny fairy to her mother and aunty Mai.

"But ancestor Prime Lotus told us , descendant not to go down there and bother the sleeping spirits.."

Although the entrance of the maze was well hidden on the island , their ancestor did not even set a single trap as she trusted her future descendant and was also afraid to cause any injuries.

Prime Lotus may have been too generous toward her descendant but in exchange , she did not leave any of her treasures behind other than the secret cultivation book for her direct disciples.

"Perilla said that she wanted to help us.."

Green panicked when she saw her mother squinting her eyes at her.

"But..But , Nodus said that he would do something about them so.."

Vaneria knew more about the fairy than her adopted daughter so she was fully aware about the consequence to use the nature power from the fairy without being chosen.

"Silly.."

The beautiful woman was proud and comforted her daughter who was willing to risk her life in this war.

"Don't be sad.. And where does this friend of yours come from?"

The tiny fairy who remained silent most of the times suddenly opened her mouth as she answered with a hint of excitement from knowing the answers.

"Nodus is from the realm that is on the other side of the portal.. In the south!"

The small fairy was proud of herself as she placed her hand on her waist while nodding on Green's shoulder.

"The other realm? Are you sure that person can be trusted?"

Nodus did steal one of the most precious resource from her vault , the Life Gem that she saved up for Green.

Vaneria had many questions about Nodus , especially on how a single person could change the tide of the war.

"I can handle it alone."

Her hair on the back of her neck stood up as she heard a voice behind her.
