90 Holy Smite

Bacis who was covered in cuts stood in the middle of the space with his arms up as the woman held one of her sword against his neck.

The intense but short fight lasted less than a minute before it came to an end and the result was pretty overwhelming as she did not even use her real strength in that fight.

The woman took out a small light halo and wrapped it in his hand behind his back before looking at Nodus.

'This person..'

Bai An was debating on what she should do about the young man as the princess only mentioned Bacis.

With the light handcuff restricting his movement and strength, Bai An ignored him as she slowly approached Nodus.

"Who are you?"

Nodus did not answer her as he looked at her round necklace that released a dim light when she spoke.

'Is that how she understood that burly person..?'

Bai An was slightly upset as the suited person did not reply to her, after all, she was one of the 6 generals of the Light domain that watched over an entire star system ever since the ancient times.

'Hmmp! Ignoring me huh..'

Bacis used his thumb and pressed a red button on a small remote before laughing out loud.

"Hahaha! The Herox will always prevail no matter what!"

The entire mother-ship separated into two from the front until halfway, revealing a gigantic barrel that could easily swallow the small planet.

"What is that!?"

Bai An could feel a sense of crisis as she watches the cannon that was covered by a surge of energy.

"Particle Voltage Beam detected, please he careful commander."

Even Z1 alerted Nodus of the bad news as he watched the red lightning dancing around the giant barrel.

"A beam? What is that and how do we stop it?"

Thanks to her necklace, Bai An overheard Z1 and flew toward Nodus.

"It will take at least 2908 seconds before it's fully charged."

"So I have to destroy that big chunk of metal?"

After seeing Nodus nodding, Bai An lifted her hand and called upon the power of the light as her fist glowed like a star.

In the far horizon, the stone guardians around the temple shot out a beam of fused light that flew toward the empty space.

The line of light engulfed Bai An and changed directions toward the annihilator.

"*Yawn* Nodus had a droplet of tear on the edge of his eye after yawning as he felt incredibly bored.

'Oh... I still need that ship..'

After a quick shoulder stretch, Nodus transformed into a golden light as he flew at full speed behind the beam.

Even though the mother-ship was very far away, so far that it looked like a small box from the small planet, Nodus and Bai An flew so quickly that they almost arrived at the spaceship in less than 2 minutes.

Although Nodus was really fast, he was still slower than the beam of light, and with no option left, he used his power and tried to stop the woman from reaching the ship.

'What-... A disturbance, how is that possible!?'

Nodus forced his golden aura to the limit as he bent the stream of light and snapped the ray in half.

Just like a glowing stick, the light spread everywhere into tiny particles that splattered on the dark canvas of the space.

'Hmm... I almost had to use my full strength.'

Nodus was always curious toward everything that was out of his expectation as he felt like investigating the source of light right away.

Bai An was rooted in the spot as she was shocked by the current situation.

'He broke through the light of the guardians... How is that possible, wasn't it made by the light emperor!?'

The woman stared at the young man in a golden who flew past her.

'Hmm... Just in time.'

Nodus lowered his energy output which changed his golden aura to white as he arrived in front of the mother-ship.

"Hmm?"

He felt a ripple that came from the space above him.

A long wooden arm appeared from the void and stretched down toward Nodus as it glowed with many white lines.

Nodus tried to block the brown fist that stretched toward him, but it instantly broke through his barrier and sent him downward.

He halted his trajectory with his golden aura and glanced at the woman who had 1 ring of light around her arm.

'She is controlling it?... Interesting.'

Bai An was surprised after seeing that the hit barely did anything to the young man.

'Again! I must stop that cannon..'

Bai An shook her head as she thought of the princess before punching downward.

The wooden fist emerged once again from the void, but this times, it came behind him.

*Boooom!*

The fist landed on a transparent golden wall that was right in front of Nodus who held his palm open as he already saw it coming.

Although he could block the statue, he could not budge it all as he tried to deflect it.

'It's really solid..'

'How is that possible?!'

Even Bai An wouldn't be as sensible as the young man when it came to the law of space.

'This person is even stronger than the brute!'

The woman howled loudly as she radiated with a bright light and crossed her arms together.

"Divine light of Destruction, Holy Smite!"

With 4 rings of light appearing on both arms, Bai An clasped her hand together as if she was doing a prayer before closing her eyes.

"I tried to stop you first so don't blame me for this."

The wooden arm suddenly disappeared, and Nodus felt more ripples in the space this times.

'8?'

8 glowing wooden arms appeared around him and formed a perfect circle.

The arms held onto a ball of light on each palm that was then spread open as it faced toward the young man.
