80 HEROX

Surrounded by the pitch black darkness of space with flickering tiny lights that were billions of years away , hundreds of long gigantic spaceship were slowly moving along in packs as the generals of each mother-ship gathered together in a meeting room.

"Phrixus , could you tell us why you are refusing to take part?"

Eight people sat around a hologram of a system that had countless of planets orbiting 3 stars.

"Theo , I told you and everyone else that this is too dangerous.. This mission is not even a requirement , we already finished our main task and should just return home."

A man who wore a golden armored vest with a long red cape looked at his comrade with a stern expression as he explained why he refused to take part of the random exploration.

The eight middle aged man all wore the same vest , along with a feathered helmet and the only difference would be their symbol on the capes.

Phrixus , the one who refused to go with them wore a cape with two straight white lines while the one who questioned him , Theo , had only a single white line.

"There you have it , Phrixus won't be coming with us , any objection?"

Theo originally asked Phrixus through a private channel first and was surprisingly rejected even before holding a meeting.

The Herox were a race that belonged to the body tempering type who mainly relied on their herculean strength and melee weapons to vanquish their foes ever since the ancient times.

Even after countless of centuries and era , the Herox were still relying on flints and steels to make a fire as they never bothered expanding their knowledge in technology.

Fight , eat and sleep were the only things that they needed and has always been until one faithful day.

A woman who's true name was never revealed was struck by lightning and in the following day , she broke the barrier of limits.

After successfully ascending into a higher rank that was above the limit that was set ever since the creation of human life , the woman later on , united the entire planet into one tribe and with nothing left to do , she traveled through space by simply jumping off the planet.

After bouncing through countless of planets , she later on returned to her home planet while carrying a enormous tower and pierced it through the earth until it reached the core of the planet.

She called it the tower of Eucarphis , the tower of trial.

The tower had thousands of floors , each one of them was has big as the entire lands combined of the planet.

The woman who everyone revered as the empress left them one last words before rushing off into the thick tower lowest entrance.

"The first to reach the highest floor will become my husband."

Although the empress was a devastating cold beauty , no one ever dared to flirt with her , even asking her a question would be too difficult for the manliest men who achieved godhood with the same method as the empress.

After a million years has passed , no one managed to even breakthrough the 49th floor has the godbeast who resided in that floor was too hard to beat.

The empress gave them everything by opening the gate of the limits and even came back with a never ending tower that was filled with monsters and resources.

Shame , humiliation , the entire united tribe felt their dignity collapsing and then , anger.

"We must work harder!"

"Yeah! We won't stop until we die!"

After countless of generations , millions of people actually died by overworking their bodies through training and tempering.

The anger was the only thing that kept them going , the anger toward oneself until the faithful day of the invasion.

Countless of ugly shaped ships that were oddly pulsating arrived at their planetary system.

Scourging through everything that they passed by , the invades tormented every planet inside of the system except for one.

The 100 000 meter tall tower that the empress placed acted has the guardian as it covered the entire planet with a invisible barrier.

After bombing the invisible barrier for years , the invader finally halted their attacks and sent in a scout drone , in hope of finding the weakness of the magnetic barrier.

But to their surprise , the drone couldn't feel anything and accidentally slipped into the barrier.

The invaders tried sending their fighter ships which was followed by millions of them after finding out that it made it through the barrier.

The war against the ugly insects lasted less than a week after they were crushed completely by the Herox who were simply throwing rocks and spears at them.

The invaders quickly left and never came back while the Herox were scavenging their inventions.

"It's ugly but.. It throws a bright projectile that melt metal."

The Herox who forcefully tore off the laser cannon from the biggest fighter ship had a sudden flash of theory.

"Hey! Isn't the big beast fully covered with hard metals?"

With a new strategy in mind , the Herox gathered many people to go fight the godbeast in the 49th floor with the new scavenged weapons.

"Sinis , are you sure?"

Although the 49th space was as big as the others , the beast's underground lair could only fit about 20 of them or else it would be too crowded to dodge anything.

"Yeah! Just throw at it from far and if it doesn't work , just run."

The party of 10 was composed with the strongest Heroxes who actually returned from their space travel years ago.

As they stepped into the dark open space , they could see a big pair of yellow eyes staring at them in the edge of the shadows.

"Get closer first.."

Sinis whispered quietly as he tip toed toward the pair of eyes.

The beast was slowly closing it's eyelids as it couldn't be bothered by the snail paced people in front of it.

"Now!"

Sinis and the 8 other Herox lifted their huge ugly barrel cannons.

With their fist at the end of the cannon , they triggered the ugly brownish barrel as it lit up in a green light before spewing some ooze-like beams.

The shots landed on the beast and a melting sound could be heard before it howled loudly in fury.

The pair of eyes went up as the beast stood up before running toward the barrage of beams.

"Damn! It's empty!"

All of their cannons ran dry other than Sinis who was shooting slowly at first as he focused on his aim.

"Gelo what are you doing!? How come you didn't throw yours yet!"

Gelo was the only one who didn't because he was still reluctant to put his arm into the ugly cannon that had a slimy interior.

Feeling annoyed , he threw the entire cannon at the beast and luckily enough , Sinis accidentally hit the cannon that caused an explosion right in front of the beast.

"Did it work.."

After the tremor faded away , Sinis approached the green smoke and was stopped by one of his comrade.

"Wait until the green cloud disappears."

As they waited , they could all hear a loud melting sound before the funky smell reached their noses.

"Arggh.. What's that disgusting smell.."

Everyone was pinching their nose while Gelo gulped loudly.

"What's wrong with all of you?! It obviously smells like a delicious piece of meat!"

Suddenly blue torches that surrounded the dark lair began to lit up.

"We did i!"

The torches on the higher walls were the sign of a successful boss fight and has the Heroxes cheered , the toxic clouds finally disappeared.

"Yeah.. That's a big piece of meat for you Gelo!"

Sinis slapped on the shoulder of his friend as he made his way toward the blue portal that appeared behind the tyrannosaurus looking beast.

After that memorial day of breaking past the 49th floor that the entire tribe was stuck on for millions of years , they easily made it up all the way to the hundreds floor level.

Although it was still far from the 10000th Floor , the Herox began to focus on the technological path , then after going through their old storage rooms , entire tribe realized later on that they actually had a laser gun blue print from the 48th floor from a million years ago.

The trial tower gave them many weapons , materials , tempering technique has rewards but also , technology that no one bothered to study.

After hitting themselves to sleep every night , Sinis and his group became the first to breakthrough the 149th floor once again and were all crowned has the Leaders.

With Sinis being the first leader and Gelo the 10th , they led their entire race through a new blooming age of technology.

All of the leaders eventually passed away from age but hope was still not lost since they had descendants that were now the generals of the current generation.

But then , after a unfortunate death incident that caused the entire tribe to separate into 8 different country , Theo who was the descendant of Sinis took upon himself to have a meeting with all of the main descendants like himself.

"We can't breakthrough the 599th floor no matter what."

"The empress left and came back even stronger , strong enough to go through the entire tower alone."

"Who said we can't find something stronger in these vast space."

"Our Gold GodBlood technique that we pride on can't obviously help us through that floor."

After convincing all of the other descendant to search for a new way to get stronger , they all chose a few millions of their strongest people and left their home planet.

Thousands of light-years into their long voyage , they managed to find many different technology and techniques of tempering.

As they made their way home , surprisingly , their ship received a resonance from a beacon that attracted their attention.

"Didn't we already came here.."

The fact that they followed the straight and calculated holographic map was the only reason why they were surprised to see the empty space that was taken over by 3 suns and hence , the meeting.
