48 Exam Day - 1

Arriving infront of the school gates , Lulu , Ali , Mimi and Nodus went down together while adults had to go in from the back if they wanted to watch the exam. "Woah! It's so lively!" Ali exclaimed as she saw all those decorated street sides and building. The street was filled with food stalls and goods with many other children accompanied by their parents. The girls and Nodus went inside of the gates with alot of attention focused on them. "Their carriage was so huge.." "Look uncle , that blue hair girl is so beautiful and also that black hair one... so cute." Mainly because of the long carriage was unlike any other they have seen and so , people thought that the children that came down must be from a powerful background.

Thanks to the teacher , they arrived early and registered their names at the long wooden counter that was randomly in the middle of the school path. "That will be five gold." An old grandma took the paper from the child , received the coins and told him to enter. "Remember , follow the arrows." Far behind the counter , the main school entrance had two wooden sign with an arrow pointing on the opposite directions. The left were for returning students and the right side was for the newly registered ones.

"Ah , you four are together? Perfect." The grandma revealed a big smile as she saw the bunch of cute children and couldn't help herself as she stared at Nodus. 'This child is... a boy?' With the feather dipped in ink , Nodus and Lulu finished their registration first. "Here is the five gold , thank you teacher." Lulu gave a formal bow beside she went to help the two other girls. Looking at the polite girl , the old lady decided to memorize her name. 'Elleiyan...?! Isn't that the same last name as teacher Kathrina..' Switching her vision to the young girl in blue , the old teacher could barely see the resemblance with her bright blue hair. 'Only her small thin nose resembles to her..'

Putting the paper aside , she decided to pick up and read Nodus as she thought these children must be incredible. '16 years old..?! How does he look so young.. but that is too bad..' Not recognizing the last name at all , the old teacher put down the paper and waited for the two last one. "Here teacher! Thank you!" The two girls slid the paper with the gold coins on top as they ran toward the school. " You two wait up!" Lulu ran after the two girls who stood beside the sign with Nodus. "Who is next?" With 15 teachers who were tasked with registering the new students , it could be seen that the academy is popular around the continent.

"Lulu and big brother Nodus will cheer for us later on?" Ali asked as they arrived at the testing site and they were told that the foundation students will have to take the evaluation test 5 hours from now while the beginners magicians had to do their test before them. "Mhmm of course , after we are done let's go around the school!" Lulu cheered up the worried girls as she decided to take the test first. Stepping onto the wide field , there was 3 tables with a teacher beside every of them. " The first new students! Simply place your hand on this orb and It will measure your mana." The clear glass crystal was laid ontop of a scarf that is wrapped around the bottom. "Yes teacher." The orb began to glow brightly with a hint of blue color within the white lights. "Amazing! Not only you are close to a enlightened magician , you also have a ice element mana!" The three teachers were shocked as they stared at the little girls.

"Hmmp , she is my little niece so none of you are worthy to be her teacher!" Kathrina came along with Lati and spoke with a cold tone as she gazed at the teacher. "V..Vice principal , we are just simply amazed.. and congratulation for having such a young prodigy!" Hearing that she was her niece , the teachers simply allowed Lulu to pass through the two remaining test without her actually doing anything. "Is it fine aunty?" The little girl was worried about her aunt's reputation. "Don't worry Lulu , we both know what you are capable of and beside you have a purer bloodline than your mother and I." The girl smiled and gave a peck to her family as they wait for Nodus. "Ahem.. Please , next student." Seeing the black hair young man , the teacher was relief but still cautious as he talked to the new student.

Holding onto the orb , the light was even bigger than Lulu with the inner light being gold and a dark black color mana instead of white. The black mana went onto a rampage and cracked the glass. Before it could completely destroy it , Nodus took his hand off the orb and stared at the teacher. "*Gulp* Erm.. A enlightened magician.. you may pass." Everyone else but Kathrina was confused by the young man mana color. "Sister , wasn't Nodus a fire magician?" Lati tugged her sleeves as she inquire the sister. "Yes but he practice a very special mana cultivation." While still slightly confused , the girls simply paid attention to the next test. "Please demonstrate your most powerful spell onto this monument stone." The next teacher was a female with a big pair of boots that was too big for her size. "Can I destroy it?" The teacher tilted her head and nodded in a confusion. 'This 100 tone stone can resist a blast from a peak enlightened magician..' Before she could even finish her thoughts , a loud explosion sound woke her up as she turned around and a black burnt mark on the monument. "You pass.." White smoke began to come out from the monument as lines of crevice were slowly appearing with a cracking sound within the rock itself. Pshhhhh , the stone crumbled into pieces , while the outside was mostly white , the inside of the stone had a bright orange color to it , it was as if the stone was cooked from the inside.

'My Fire Prism is decent.' Proud of his own developed spells , Nodus went on to the next and last table in the wide field. "Ah.... Yes! Please absorb the mana within the chamber , the quicker the better." The teacher recovered from his shock and pointed at the tall glass rectangle with a dark tin on each side that revealed thousands of white dots floating around the interior. 'A glass that reveals mana..' Thinking about how this planet solely focused their technology on mana , Nodus was simply dumbfounded as to why they couldn't just focus on their daily needs more.

The teachers left their table and gathered together to watch the young man in the glass box. Nodus went inside and closed his eyes for merely one seconds. With all the light extinguished , the young man took a step out of the box and stared at the teacher. "Did I pass?" The middle aged man furiously nodded with no words coming out from his mouth. "Did he just absorbed a rank 2 crystal in.. under one seconds?" No one replied as they witnessed the answers themself but couldn't believe it.

"Nodus! You have the talent to become a strong magician!" Lati happily commented as her daughter also agreed. "Nodus is amazing! Even better than me!" Kathrina smiled as she stroked her niece's head. "Don't worry , you are amazing too Lulu!" The little girl chuckled as she was in fact more happy if Nodus was stronger. The young man simply nodded and took out a golden chip from his watch. "I left something inside that might be useful and take the carriage with you." Lati was surprised as she did not expect anything and gazed at the young man. "Thank you." Seeing that he was serious , Lati held onto the young man tightly. "Please look after them." The mother whispered as she released him from her embrace. Nodus took a step back and held onto Lulu's hand. "Mhmm." The little girl was stunned upon his gesture as her face became red. "Lulu! Big brother Nodus you two are amazing!" Mimi congratulated the two while Ali was suspiciously staring at the feverish girl.

"Lulu , are you alright? Ah! Are you sick? Oh no.." Ali placed her palm on Lulu's forehead and thought she was sick due to the high temperature.

"Hahaha , Lulu isn't sick.. she is just lovestruck!" The father who witnessed everything was shouting loudly as he walked toward them. "Dad I hate you!" The girl took back her hand and casted a spell toward her dad. "Woah!" Naire dodged the little snow ball and with that , the crowd went to tour around the school with Kathrina leading.

"See girls , the exam is pretty easy right.." The girls nodded as Kathrina added a dreadful sentence. "But for foundation magicians is even more competitive!" While the teacher was scaring off the two little girls , Lulu was more curious as to where her sister Ivy disappeared to again.
