97 Daughter of Light

The princess sighed in defeat and gave the young man an odd look as she thought that he was probably some kind of sage that liked to look young.

"16."

"Yes?"

"You don't have to guess, I am 16... And my questions."

Nodus changed the topic too fast for her as she was still trying to register the two shocking facts coupled with his age and he did not want people to mistake him for having a habit of using a child form.

"We are not quite sure what is a multiverse, but we did come from another realm.."

The princess explained that it was her last resort to activate the ancient teleportation array laid down by the first emperor of light years ago.

"And the sun...Was originally one but after going through a big colorful tunnel, the sun split into three and got smaller."

Nodus started to doubt something as the princess goes on with her stories.

"We are sorry if we disturbed you... We will return when the temple of light has recovered."

The princess began to poke her fingers as she looked up and down repeatedly.

"What is it?"

"Uhm... Would it be alright for us to stay for a while.. or a little bit?"

Nodus gave her a weird look as he leaned back against the seat.

'She actually doesn't know that she traveled through another universe.'

"You can live anywhere without my permission...Can you show me the ancient array?"

Nodus stood up and went through the hallway without even waiting for her reply.

"!!!"

The princess ran after the young man who was already on his way down the steps.

"Princess?"

The generals gathered around the princess with only Bai An who was still wearing her thick golden armor.

Nodus ignored their shocked expression and made his way toward the broken ruins while the princess told them that she has been fully cured and just need a bit of time to recuperate her qi.

"Amazing... Then that senior is really-"

Bai Cai stopped talking as she felt a slight tremor on the ground.

As soon Nodus made his way through the cracked doorway of the temple, he felt a slight shaking as 4 balls of light appeared out of nowhere on each corner of the ceiling.

"Who are you?"

Nodus could feel a gaze on him as his eyes scanned the entire temple.

Suddenly, the 4 tiny light orb released a beam of light toward the middle and as soon the light met each other at the center of the temple, a transparent image appeared in front of him.

The image portrayed a large painting with a blonde woman standing on a stone peak.

The sky in the illustration was completely yellow, and the lack of details on everything else but the woman made him confused.

The painting frame slowly got closer to him, and he noticed the blonde woman with her bare back turned around.

Multiple rays of light covered her essential parts as she made her way closer toward Nodus by walking along the stone peak.

The woman got bigger as she got closer to Nodus and a glowing hand stretched out in front of him.

The light suddenly faded away before the hand could touch him and the last thing that Nodus saw is the gentle smile of the beautiful blonde woman.

Princess Song and her generals were dumbfounded after witnessing the mystical event that has never happened before in the entire history of the kingdom of light.

"Th...The legend is real..?"

Bai Fen stuttered as she lost her balance and fell to the floor.

Bai Cai also felt her knees go weak and sat down before she hurt herself.

"It's the goddess of light..?"

Bai An inquired as she looked at the princess who was still staring at the empty space of the temple.

"Princess?"

Song Ai woke up shortly after and noticed everyone staring at her, including the young man.

"That was the daughter of light...And she told me something vital."

The princess gaze landed on Nodus.

"We shall show you the other dimension."

The princess walked onto the center of the empty temple and held her palms together.

"Princess?!"

Everyone knew that no one was allowed into the other dimension other than herself and the generals who still required her permission.

"It's fine... Nodus, we finally understood, and the only way home is.. You."

Cracks of light ripped a portal open behind the princess who stretched out her hand toward the young man.

Nodus took a step forward and held onto her hand before disappearing into the light portal.

"That senior is our way home?"

"What does that means..?"

Bai An was the only one who knew something while the other generals were confused about their princess statement.

"You all didn't notice anything..? Although the laws here are the same, the stars are completely different.."

While the others accepted that their sun was split into three, Bai An knew that it wasn't just related to the colorful tunnel they traveled into.

'What if...'

Bai An stared at the empty space as she threw her thoughts behind her head before leaving the temple.

"Welcome to our chamber.."

Nodus stood on the empty space and saw a big pink clam in the middle of a small water puddle.

The puddle wave seemed to disappear as it moved at the furthest edge and yet the water still somehow exist.

Other than the stars around the empty space, Nodus couldn't feel anything but the pink clam.

"The array is here.."

Song Ai blushed as she noticed Nodus staring at her pink clam as she pointed behind him.

Nodus turned around and noticed the light portal transforming into a tiny speck of light before flying off into the dark space.

The disappearance of the bright portal revealed a massive floating stone that had a shiny engraving on it in the far space.

'That is bigger than the sun..'

Nodus was surprised once again as he thought of who could engrave such thing.

"It was passed down ever the ancient times... And we heard from my father that it was the goddess of light who bestowed the array upon us a billion years ago."

Nodus was extremely curious about the array and pissed at the daughter of light who gave him a mysterious smile.
