123 Chief Loy

The entire village was surrounded by the dense forest that echoed with cries and howls of animals during the whole daytimes.

With just around 2000 people, the village was lively with children running around while the adults were exchanging food or materials with each other.

"This is amazing...Have the trees been uprooted too? It of took a lot of effort."

Helena looked around and couldn't spot any trees in the village.

Moving along the flat dirt path, the villagers were quickly attracted by the white car that moved forward by itself and came closer to get a better look.

"Hello, grandma Chun!"

Arna greeted the old lady who was curious as she sat on her elder sister's lap who lowered the window of the car.

By the time they arrived at the center of the village, everyone already knew that the visitors were related to Kana.

"Chief Loy?"

Kana knocked on the door of the big stone house that was situated at the center of the village.

"Kana?"

The group turned around and saw a tall, muscular man with a dark skin tone who held onto a giant fish.

Loy unhooked the fish from his long bamboo pole before hanging it on the wall of his house.

"Chief Loy, I have some good news that will improve the village situation!"

Kana was excited to tell him about her new job that could even allow the village to survive through the dangerous season.

"Hmm? Tell me more about it and allow me to treat the guess with this delicious maling fish."

Kana led the rest of the group and settled them down in the main living room while the old chief went to wash the fish in the kitchen.

'So is thanks to this man...'

Nodus sat down quietly while the rest looked around at the animal carvings that were hung on the wall, most of them were mainly different kinds of fishes that he caught.

The stone house wall tall enough to have a second floor but it only consisted of one main floor with a tall ceiling.

With cotton carpets and wooden furniture, Nodus could tell that the chief had the choice but chose not to live lavishly.

After passing by the village that consists mainly of old people and children, he could quickly figure out that most of the adults either gone or missing for some reason.

The blacksmith shop had a huge stone furnace in the open was even more significant than the owner's house himself while the herbalist lived in a treehouse on the outskirt of the village.

"Z1, send me the tropical blueprint."

His wristwatch blinked once, and a dozen of image emerged on the small screen.

With a blueprint in mind, Nodus would then have to find the perfect location to build his second store in this village and the reasons why he chose Ita village was because of the dense amount of daily visitors.

With 8 hours apart from the city, most of the travelers tend to sleep in the only inn of the village during the night before leaving early in the morning to reach the city by midday.

With the inn being the primary income made it easier for the villagers to survive through the chaotic season of the green clouds because they could afford some hired guards to protect their village.

"That's why I am sure that the chief wouldn't have any problem at all!"

Kana finished explaining to Nodus since she felt like she had to reassure him just in case he changed his mind after seeing her village situation.

The progress of the village was plodding even if they make a dozen gold every day thanks to the inn.

"So if we can cut the expense from hiring the guards...We would save at least 2 thousand gold..."

Kana was whispering to herself as she practices her persuasive speech all alone in the corner of the room.

"The soup is done! Who wants a bowl of rice?"

Loy came into the main room with a big metal bowl of steam in his hand.

"Grandpa, is this enough?"

Mimi and Ali came behind the chief with utensils and plates in their hands.

"Hahaha yes, your parents must be lucky to have such thoughtful little lads."

Kana woke up from his shout and went to drag a bigger table from the storage room.

With the two table close to each other, they now had a big dining table across the main room that was filled with soup and rice that Lulu carried after it was done cooking.

The aroma mixed with some vegetables and leaves wholly removed the fishy smell and made the little girls hungry again even though they just had breakfast at home.

"Dive in! We can talk about it later, now what was your name?"

The muscular grandpa looked at Nodus with a smile, causing the young man to feel irritated for some reasons.
