39 Birth of Legends

"Ah..ah.." The slaves were panting from all the running , after 3 to 4 hours of constant rushing through the forest , the android came to the center with a big plate of food. "Good job soldiers , this will be considered as your warm up starting in 2 weeks." The slaves felt onto the ground as they laid on the short grass. "Oh no... what will happen if I won't be able to eat at all.." A short green haired girl was already shedding tears a she crawled toward the bowl of soup that was placed on a tree stomp. "Don't worry Erica , I am sure we can adapt to it.." The girl with gray hair with a pony tail stood up and slowly made her way to the stump and put the bowl of soup in front of the short Erica.

"Thank you sister Lanny.." The girl sat down and held the metal spoon as she scoop the clear brown soup that had a thin slices of meat."Ah.. Delicious!" Seeing the short Erica cheering up , Lanny smiled and sat down beside her. "Elli and captain Evelyn are still running.." A robust man came and sat beside the two girls and looked toward the same direction as Lanny. "Yeah.. They are crazy... Why don't they just rest and enjoy this wonderful soup.." The android paid attentions to the girls who were still running and kept it in records. "In one week.. I shall put up a ranking board." Being fully in control of the training , Bu One still had to work on the new suit technology that Nodus came across in a foreign galaxy. Looking at the screen within his eyes , the android was merging and modifying some blue prints. "The Exo skeleton is simple.. But to find the best way to implement it with the fiber armor.. Live experiment required."

Looking at his wristwatch , Nodus sat up from his bed and realized that it was still 12pm. 'I only needed 4 hours to recover my meridian..' Nodus wasn't surprised as he training his body to the extreme."Confirm , start the exo project next week and find a way to motivate them more." Leaving it to Bu One , the young man left Shishi behind as he headed toward the mansion doors , he saw Kathrina standing beside the two little girls with a old man sipping tea on a chair near the small pond. Seeing a young man wearing a magician robe coming out from the mansion , the old man almost dropped the tea cup as he hurriedly and ran toward Nodus. Watching the awkward running stance of the old man , Nodus almost laughed out loud. 'Why carry such big staff and run at the same times..'

"Ah.. I am getting too old , I forgot to stash away my staff." Arriving infront of Nodus , he placed the staff against the mansion walls and shook the hands of Nodus. "You must be Nodus!.. Kathrina told me alot about you and from now on , you will be my main disciple!" Nodus inclined his head sideways as he look at Kathrina for answers. "Principal! Calm down or you will scare little Nodus." The teacher pushed the old man away and wrapped her arms onto Nodus's neck."Right! Sorry young man..please forgive this old man!" The principal shook the hands of the young man like a crazy pervert so he thought that it might of hurt the young magician as most of them are frail when it comes to body constitution. "No.. You have a strong body." Being complimented , the old man laughed at the sky as he place his fist on his hips. "Oh oh oh oh ! This old man is a magician first and warrior seconds! Impressive isn't it?!" The teacher spat out a breath of air and said."Puuf , you trained so hard just to beat general Grivern in arm wrestling..but-"

The old principal shouted as he cut off Kathrina before she could ruin his reputation in front of his new disciple."Hahaha! It doesn't matter what you do it for! As long it make you stronger is all it matters , right Nodus?!" The young man nodded as he was still confused. "Aww look , isn't he so cute when he is curious" The teacher poked the young man cheek and the old man also decided to join. "You are right! So cu-*cough* manly" The old man was obviously trying to compliment Nodus based on the stories he heard from Kathrina. 'Maybe it was a mistake to seal my power and learn mana' Nodus eyes twitched as he sighed.

"Ahem! Nodus , this is Ournsi's principal and guardian , Old man Lingon , master of the winds." The old man crossed his arms as he nodded."Just call me teacher or grandpa Lingon is fine!" The young man nodded and shook the old man hand once again. "Please teach me well teacher Lingon." The old man covered his face with his left sleeve as he shook Nodus hand. "Don't worry.. principal is really sensitive..." Nodus laughed in the inside as he smiled. "Ah! Nodus smiled again and it was bigger than before!" The teacher stole Nodus away as she held his face and stared at him. After the introduction , Kathrina would be training for 8 hours starting by 4am and Lingon would have Nodus until 8pm. Nodus insisted on training 26 hours a day but was shut down by the teachers , telling him that rest was important.

'But I trained with 2 hours of sleep for 10 years ever since I was 4..' Nodus gave up and reached an accord with the teachers. Since he was also new to mana , he would have to respect their wishes and follow their instruction strictly by the letter. "Good! Then let's start today!" The old man was stopped by Kathrina but only to be stared at by Nodus with a sad expression. "Fine.. I will let this go because is Nodus.." Kathrina simply wanted Nodus to rest for the entire day but was easily overwhelmed by his pleading gaze. "That settles it! I will bring you to my magic tower! Hop on Nodus." The old man threw his big staff and with a bright dazzling light , the wooden staff expanded side ways. Nodus shook his head and told his teacher to go ahead. "Eh.. Then shall we walk?" Nodus sighed 'Aren't you supposed to be strict as every normal instructors..' The young man jumped and stood in mid air. "What!!!! AIR STEPS?!" The old man shouted loudly as if he was struck by a bolt of lightning. "Mhmm , Taphar gave it to me."

Nodus wasn't surprised that the so called wind master would recognize the spells he got from the griffin king. "Nodus.. how.." The old man also nodded his head furiously as he held on the same question as Kathrina. " I helped him and he gave me his feather." The old man asked Nodus with a serious face."Is it really Taphar.. What color was the feather?" The young man told them it was a golden feather that was bigger than himself and the old man laughed out loud."Hahahah! That is the king of griffins alright... With his personal blessing it means you can go to the Twin Peaks Mountain in the future without any problem." Kathrina was happy for Nodus as her evaluation shot through the roof , she was already planning on also teaching her sect's cultivation technique tomorrow.

"Don't worry about it for now..Let's go Nodus!!" The old man flew slowly as he thought Nodus would had hard times catching up but after half way through , Lingon noticed that Nodus wasn't even out fo breath. 'The blessing requires more stamina than mana but this young lad can keep it up for so long..' Lingon decided to speed up and headed straight to the academy. After a short 10 minutes , the teacher and student landed on the balcony that was hanging on the side of the tallest area of the academy. "Welcome Nodus! This is my personal room , you can make yourself at home.. I have to go prepare my magic tower *cough*"

Going through the balcony , the old man disappeared as he carried a broom stick with him and left through the interior door. Nodus turned his attention to the city , being at the highest point and just sightly below the walls , Nodus saw hundreds of tall building and structures with ant sized people who were living their days in peace. 'Today I will officially be a magician.'

At the center of the forest that was voided of trees , 5 people were sitting around a small camp fire with one standing as he pointed at a black board that was held by a wooden stance. " The commander told me that who ever comes first in the ranking will get a reward and a day off." Bu One was poking at the board with a short ruler as he explained the ranking system. The android wanted to experiment with the exo skeleton as soon as he can , so he pushed the scoring system forward. "Instructor! What is a day off?" A feisty voice was heard as a young girl with brown hair raised her hand. "Good question Elli , the reward is a equipment that will make you stronger , surpassing your every possible imagination." The dark orange eyes of Elli sparkled as she heard about the reward. "What about the day off?" Lanny who had a more gentle disposition asked with her soft voice. "You get to spend 30 hours doing what ever you wish , even going outside and touring the city." Erica and Irvin eyes sparkled as they pictured themselves surrounded by sweet snacks and warm food.

"Instructor , may I ask what exactly is the equipment?" The android nodded as he turned around and faced the black board. With his metallic eyes , Bu One shot a beam of light onto the board like a projector and showed a scene of an foreign army that wore heavy armored exo suits. The suits could fly , kill things from far and cause an entire city to vanish with their shoulder mounted missiles. Looking at the explosion shower , Evelyn and Elli eyes flashed quickly as they clench their fist tightly. 'If I have that magic armor..' Finishing displaying a series of battles and wars , the android turned around. Bu One gazed at the slaves , one by one with a serious expression for the first times. "Those suits belonged to the Aurorian race and the commander single-handedly destroyed an entire army by himself." Evelyn and Elli felt a drop of sweat going down their back while Erica jumped in shock. "B..but..The commander is so cute.." Lanny pulled the girl back down and chopped her head with her hand. "Shhh Erica.. Don't make the commander angry.." The short girl pouted and remained quiet for the rest of the explanation.
