5 Chapter 5: A Demon

Ling looked at the half-dressed girl with cold eyes before turning back to his gentleman act. "Are you okay, lady?" Ling gently asked her with a smile before reaching for her hand.

"U-umm..." Wang Luo averted her eyes from him. "Y-yes..." she grabbed Ling's hands making her blush more.

Ling pulled her up but when Wang Luo tried to stand up perfectly while holding her robe to cover her chest, she lost balance bumping on Ling's chest. Her face filled with embarrassment, she immediately backed off then quickly wore her robe. "Oh my God!!! I can't believe I bumped into him while I'm like this!" she thought while inserting her arms on the sleeves of her robe.

She awkwardly coughed. "Ahem... Thank you for helping me." she glanced towards the dimly-lit figure's direction to see his reaction. After she realized she can't really see his reaction, she immediately asked. "So what are your conditions?" trying to cover her humiliation.

Ling nonchalantly looked at her and replied. "There are only three conditions. First, when you get out of this cave, don't tell anyone what you saw or witnessed here. Second, remember the kid you sent here first?"

When Wang Luo heard about the 'kid', her eyes widened and she immediately kneeled in front of Ling and began apologizing. "I'm sorry... If you know that kid, I don't know what happened to him... I promise I will change... I will never act highly again and sacrifice someone for my own gain..." her voice breaking and her arms shaking while holding on to Ling's pants.

Ling looked at her puzzled. "Do mortals here really like to kneel when someone stronger is in front of them? In my previous life, even if they are stronger than me, I simply plot and scheme against them. Kill them when they let their guard down. I do not bow nor kneel in front of them" Ling thought nostalgically about how he reached the top in his last life while smiling a little.

After that, he looked at the girl whose tugging his pants while begging for him to forgive her. "Look, lady..." Ling scratched his head before seriously continuing his sentence. "I saw him with a demon and saved him. He said that a young lady was looking for a leopard's body so he was sent here. I left that leopard's body somewhere outside this cave. Find it and quickly get out of here. As for that boy, I heard he was invited to some 'banquet' so when you see him there, make sure that he knows what he's doing. Also, protect him from other people. I owe him for helping me break out of a curse. As for the third condition, I will find you when that time comes. Don't ask any more questions..." Ling looked at her straight into her eyes with his crimson eyes, washing Wang Luo's fear and captivating her even more.

"Who is this man? How can his eyes be so beautiful, it's like I'm staring at the stars. His eyes are so red, it's like blood." Wang Luo's thoughts were filled with his crystal clear eyes. "Even if I can't see his whole appearance, I can already tell from his eyes that he is a handsome man. His aura also tells me that he's an elegant, sophisticated man. He's so mysterious, I really like to know him more...!"

Wang Luo snapped back into reality and quickly replied: "Okay. I will accept but where will you go?" her eyes looking at him with curiosity. Her voice hinting that she's interested in him than where he's going.

"You don't need to know. I will be taking that boy somewhere." he immediately turned her attention on the boy that's going with him rather than his destination. What she didn't know is that the same boy she called ugly earlier is the same man she's praising now because of how beautiful his eyes looked. Ling looked at her with a satisfied smile. "You called me ugly earlier and look at you now..." Ling thought.

Wang Luo saw Ling smiling at her and thought he was thinking about her making her flushed and happy at the same time. "I wonder if he likes me..." she looked at Ling with a warm cute smile but Ling ignored it.

After that, Ling turned around and walked out of the cell room. Wang Luo followed him on to the hallway but was surprised when a demon was slowly walking towards them. Ling immediately rushed towards the demon's back and knocked him unconscious.

"So fast!" Wang Luo thought when she saw Ling's speed.

"Let's go" Ling whispered after he dragged the demon's body on the side of the hallway.

Wang Luo nodded and began rushing towards Ling's location.

When they reached the intersection, Ling pointed at the left side. "Go straight there and don't enter that one room you see before the entrance of the cave. There are demons inside that room. Get out of here immediately and remember the first condition." Ling sternly said before walking straight in the direction where the earlier demon with food came from.

Wang Luo looked down the floor and asked Ling. "Can I go with you? I like to see you fight their leader..." with a cute and sad voice.

"No. I need you to go to the city and stay there. Wait for the kid to attend that banquet. You will see me then." Ling replied coldly before continuing to walk straight.

When she heard him say 'need, she smiled slightly and blushed but the thought of her not seeing his whole appearance and not knowing his name saddened her. She tried to ask but she was thinking that if she asked again, he would think of her as annoying like Qing Shao said to her. Wang Luo looked at the fading back of Ling and her eyes began to moisten but she resolves herself because she still had hope to see him. She went on to the left side while still having a longing feeling but she was still hoping to see him at her best friend's engagement party.

Meanwhile, Ling was grinning evilly. "The last piece has been planted. On to the next plan, saving the boy." Ling began to pick up his pace and ran. All the demons who were guarding that hallway were knocked unconscious by the fast Ling.

At the end of that hallway, an enormous wooden door was standing there. A malicious aura was oozing out of that door making Ling excited. "After I send that boy to the city, I will feed all living beings here to that blood-sucking dragon's core and after it finishes, cultivate the secret technique from the throne and get out of this cave. I can't wait to see what will happen to that city after these two meet." Ling's aura began to reek of dark demonic aura and his slight grin can be seen before opening the wooden door.

"Knock knock..." Ling shouted when he opened the door with a smile on his face. The door creating a loud banging sound.

A red carpet rolled from the throne to the door. A crying Qing Shao was being dragged by two demons down the stairs. A throne on top of the stairs with an insect-faced demon with wings sitting on it.

"Seriously? A fly is sitting on a throne and I, the Heavenly Emperor, is standing here. I Should be the one sitting that throne ya know?" Ling mocked the demon with a shrewd smile angering the demon.
