The Beginning is Only the Foreshadowing of End 2

"If it is me you want, here I am. But the first one who touches a finger on my cub will die."

My mother appeared. She should have run away! Why is she here? Doesn't she understand that no matter what she tries, it will all be in vain? My heart begins to fill with anxiety, and perhaps noticing this, my mother looks into my eyes, which have returned to their normal color.

Her eyes overflowed with motherly love and regrets. I don't know how or why, but for a moment, I could see my mother in human form. She had white hair that went down to her ankles. Her ears, like the vampires', were slightly pointed. Her face was of an angelic beauty, something no woman could ever achieve. Her big red eyes looked at me with endless love, and her red lips, opened in a magnificent smile.

"I'm sorry my sweet child, all this that happened was Mama's fault. I was not strong enough to protect your father, and I am not strong enough to protect you. Forgive mommy for being so useless." My mother in the human form said.

What is she talking about? The best years of my life were after my reincarnation. I felt safe, welcomed, and loved. I never thought anyone would love me like that, not after my family was gone and my daughter and brother think I died.

Before I could say anything, however, the magical beasts released their spiritual energy at the same time, making the ground shake and the heavens roar.

"She'll risk everything! Quick, don't let her finish what she's doing!" One of the magical beasts said.

My mother's body began to grow, and a strange glow surrounded her entire body. She roared into the heavens and flew away. All the magical beasts followed her, none caring in the least about me. I was desperate now. What should I do? I can't even withstand the impact of a fight of this magnitude, and my mother will have to face 50 magical beasts alone?

I felt useless and incapable. My lack of strength made my mother suffer so much. If I hadn't been here, she could have flown solo and left this place long ago. It was my fault that she was caught in this situation.

My mind was confused, and though I tried to think of solutions, none came to mind. Lu Bao Shi and Jorge were also trying to help, but could not. I don't know what to do or how to act.

I can't use the Dark Dimension, not with my mother here. Even when I was in my prime, I could never get the Dark Dimension to recognize friends and enemies. The Dark Dimension simply devours and feeds on everything that has life. I can't risk my mother's life like that. What if her soul gets trapped in the Dark Dimension? I can't risk making my mother suffer an eternity of pain and loneliness.

Looking up, I could see my mother fighting against 50 magical beasts. She used everything she had but was always stopped and ended up injured. I felt desolate watching such a scene. I know that my mother has more destructive power than this, but she is afraid to use it for fear of hurting me.

Just as I was about to make risky decisions with no turning back, the atmosphere changed. The dark and gloomy world that was this underground world changed. The mountains gave way to a verdant plain, the dark sky, was changed to a cloudless blue sky, with a sky shining high in the heavens.

As Amanda struggled desperately, she saw the environment change. She knew what that meant. The matriarch herself appeared. Looking up into the distant blue sky, Amana saw an old woman walking slowly in the air.

She had a bent posture, long white hair that flew in the breeze, clothes made of leaves, and her whole being overflowed with peace and kindness. But as someone who had suffered centuries at the hands of the matriarch, Amanda knew that this was all a facade.

Looking down, she saw her cub. Amanda knew that once the matriarch saw him, she would take him and use him as a pawn in her machinations and schemes. Amanda knew that the matriarch could not stay here for long. After all, this was not the heartland, where the matriarch could act like a queen. These were the lands of another king, and this king must have already noticed the matriarch's intrusion and was coming to this place now. Amanda just had to hold out a little longer.

One moment, the matriarch was miles away, but the next second, she was right in front of Amanda. Even though she had seen this before, Amanda couldn't help but be surprised. This was not the Space element, this was something deeper and more complex.

The small body of the matriarch in front of Amanda's colossal 3-mile (4.83 km) long body was shocking to the eye. The matriarch was much smaller than Amanda's smallest tooth. It was like an ant in front of an elephant. But still, this little ant had the power to crush the elephant into a pulp with just the movement.

"Amanda, oh poor soul, why have you betrayed me? What harm have I done to you, child? Everything I did, was for the prosperity and glory of our species. But even that was not enough for you?" The matriarch said in an aged voice filled with pain.

All the magical beasts around Amanda lowered their heads, not having the courage to look into the matriarch's eyes. They knew that despite her small and fragile appearance, this little old woman was capable of flattening this entire mountain range into nothing with a wave of her hand. Not to incur her wrath, he simply bowed his head and made no sound.

"At what point did I betray you, matriarch? All I wished was to leave the central region, and soon after that, I was hunted and pursued. Was I not the one betrayed? Even after all the years of missions I have completed, wasn't that enough?" Amanda replied.

"Isn't that the same as betraying, my child? What is missing for you in the heartland? We are the richest and most prosperous region in the entire Beast World! Why leave and go to the territory of ungrateful and accommodating magical beasts who are happy with the current state of things?"

"That's not the Beast World, the matriarch, It's just a place to hide. We currently live like insects, hiding under rocks, too afraid to see the sunlight."

"And that is exactly what we have been fighting for, my child! We want to see the sunlight once again! But still, you dare to abandon our noble mission?"

"What noble mission, matriarch? All you do is send us to a devastated, lifeless world to fight the Eternals. We die in droves, and if we succeed, all we get is some time to rest, and we are quickly sent back. That is not a reconquest mission, but a suicide mission."

"You have been blinded by the pain child. You cannot see, that in order for many to be saved, a few must sacrifice. But don't worry, in your next life, I will make it a point to guide you well."

The matriarch looked down and seeing San Meili, her eyes sparkled. She examined his entire body, and at some point, his eyes began to glow with the use of spiritual energy. The matriarch now had a shocked vision beyond words.

She could see a butterfly with emerald-colored crystal wings.

'Finally! After years of searching for you, I have found you. Finally! Who knew it wouldn't be with the white snake, but with the little black snake? Has she bonded with the cub yet? I must have them both to myself.' The matriarch thought.

'Don't worry Amanda. I will take care of your cub. He will be a magical beast like no other."

Seeing the smile on the matriarch's face was enough for Amanda to know the old woman's intentions. Amanda knew that the matriarch had found something valuable in her cub and that she would use her cub's life until she dried him up, then cast him aside. Amanda would not allow such a thing to happen.

Creak

The sound of something breaking that only Amanda and the matriarch could hear seemed to echo in that beautiful blue sky. Amanda forced her core until it broke, and then she would have boundless strength and power for a short time. But the cost of this was too high, and only once in a lifetime was it possible to do this.

The cost? Death. Amanda threw her life away. She sacrificed everything so that her cub could escape. Amanda then opened her mouth and spoke. No magical beast could hear, only Amanda, the matriarch, and San Meili.

"Cub, run away as fast as you can. Mama is going to use a dangerous technique, and it will be bad if you are around. Know that always, in the past, in the present, and also in the future, Mama will always love you."

Looking down, Amanda saw the confused look on her puppy's face. But like the good little puppy he always was, he obeyed and began to pull away. Amanda's spiritual energy exploded like a dam. All 50 Rank 10 magical beasts were frightened and feared for their lives seeing that stormy spiritual energy.

"That won't do, silly child."

Amanda looked at the matriarch. With just a wave of the matriarch's hand, Amanda felt pain. Looking down at her body, she saw that there was a large hole in her body and blood was beginning to gush out like rain on the mountains below. Her heart was destroyed. Her life was over.

San Meili was still running vigorously, but she noticed something strange. It was too quiet. His mother said it would be a great skill, but there were no roars or angry words. It was then that San Meili heard a big bang.

San Meili stopped running and looked back. He was on a high point since this was a mountainous region, and as soon as his eyes saw his mother, he froze. His mother's body was lying on the ground, with a large hole in the upper part of the body, where the heart should have been. Because Amanda's body was 3 miles long, even from this distance it was easy to understand. The heart had been crushed.

Several thoughts went through San Meili's mind, but none made sense. He thought his eyes were deceiving him, but there was no way that could be a lie. Maybe his mother was still alive, after all, she was great at healing San Meili when he was hurt, why couldn't she heal herself? But she wasn't breathing anymore.

San Meili felt lost and empty. Something had been torn out of him, and the pain was so great that he didn't even know how he should react. San Meili had already lost limbs, his soul had been wounded, he had fought wars, almost died, and even had his head torn from his body, but none of this hurt more than the scene in front of him. It was then that he remembered something and thought:

'Ah... that's why I trained for millennia in my past life. It was for the fear of feeling this pain again.'

San Meili just stood there looking at the lifeless body of his mother. The matriarch knew San Meili and Amanda's species well. She knew that it was an incredibly emotional species, and for that reason, she decided not to say anything for now or act. Some time passed, and the matriarch finally spoke.

"She is in a better place child. Now come on, there is much to do and little time. Help me bring glory to our race so we can return to the Beast World." The matriarch spoke in a kind and motherly tone.

San Meili looked at the matriarch. Her hand still had blood on it, Amanda's blood. Seeing the person who killed his mother in front of him, San Meili could no longer think of anything.

Creak

Creaaaaaaaaaak

Two sounds of breaking glass were heard. The first sound was of San Meili's core cracking, the same technique Amanda used to try to buy time against the matriarch. The second, was San Meili's magic core breaking into two pieces, and cracking almost completely.

San Meili's body began to grow absurdly. Its body grew and grew, even more, stopping only when it reached the 330 feet (100.58 m) long mark. Its horns became larger and more ferocious. The horns were slightly bent backward, and they glowed in a majestic green light.

San Meili's spiritual energy was wild, surging like furious tides, giving no indication of an ending.

ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAR

With a roar filled with pain and despair, San Meili threw himself into combat. His rank at this point was at least rank 8. But even though he was so powerful, jumping four major realms so suddenly, he was still far from being enough to face 50 Rank 10 magical beasts and the matriarch, who transcended that level.
