Chapter 13

It’s been two days now after the incident with madam Joann, I’m about to confirm my suspicions about this so called aunt of mine after what happened to madam Joann recently.

TWO DAYS AGO

I woke up to the sound of whispering, it was coming from my parents who were standing by the window and they both seem to be in a serious discussion. “ Calm down Nicolas if you keep behaving like this we won’t be able to find out the truth behind this situation” my mother said trying to calm my father down.

“ How can I calm down when I heard the tutor I brought for my son hit him on the very first day and is now accusing my son of trying to kill her” father had raised his voice a little so I used that as an excuse to wake up.

Seeing that I was awake both my parents came to my side, mother brought me to her lap gently and hugged me while father bent down in front of me and calmly said to me “ dear how are you feeling now ?, can you tell me what happened this morning with the tutor” mother didn’t like as it was the first thing he asked and glared at him but to me it was an opportunity to get the answers I was looking for.

I lowered my head as if I was afraid and then said “ I didn’t mean to hurt the tutor I was trying to serve her tea when I tripped over and the water poured on my tour, I didn’t mean it so don’t abandon me because she told me that I didn’t deserve to be here and that if I was a bad boy you would throw me away” I added a few tear for special effects and it worked, seeing as my father was boiling with rage.

He went downstairs and mother followed behind him carrying me in her arms. Father called for Oliver and told him to bring madam Joann to his office and also asked him to send a letter of summon to aunt Lilian’s residence, after that he went into his office. Not long after that all the family members were in father office with madam Joann kneeling in front of us.

“ I want you to tell me honestly what or who gave the right to hurt my son the way you did madam Joann” seeing father serious like this made me understand why people feared him and not only him everyone was filled with murderous intent and looking at the way madam Joann was shaking, she doesn’t seem to be taken it well.

“ I’m sorry my Lord I did it out of spite I don’t know what came over me, I was trying to keep it to myself all these years but when I saw your happy family I couldn’t contain my jealousy anymore, I’m sorry my Lord I’ve not been able to forget about you even after all these years” madam Joann cried out her confession

It’s not like I expected her to tell the truth immediately but I wasn’t expecting her to dig her own grave either because the look on my family’s face only darkened. “ So your telling me to believe what just said madam Joann? Do I look like a fool to you or do you take this situation as a joke” my father’s icy voice filled the room making madam Joann shake even more.

Even after all the threat she received madam Joann still said she was the one at fault and that she was not sent by any one. Father got angry and sent her to the dungeons until the investigation on the matter has been settled but that only lead to the new that madam Joann committed suicide the next morning.

The investigation that was held also states that she had no one behind her because when searching her house their were paintings of father all over her room and also a diary where her plans to torture me as a form of revenge was written making everyone believe that she did on her own.

But after madam Joann’s suicide it only made it clear to me that there was someone big behind all this but just who was it that would want to harm me and what will they gain from it even if aunt Lilian was involved what does she stand to gain from it or is she also behind the kidnapping.

CURRENTLY

Right now I was in my room with my siblings waiting for the adults to talk downstairs. Mother’s brother and his family had arrived not too long ago but I haven’t been called down because they were all discussing the incident that happened recently.

“ Do you really think aunt Lilian is involved in this case?” Eleni asked Zander in curiosity but he only said “ Can’t you see Adonis here are you trying to make him remember what happened?“ he said looking back at me who was pretending to read the book in my hands.

“It’s not like he’s listen to what we’re saying” before Zander could reply to what Eleni said, Zoe came to call us to greet our Uncle and his family before they leave. When we got down I saw a couple with a boy about Zanders age besides my parents. The man was a little chubby but tall with black hair and blue eyes like mother while the woman was skinny and had black hair and green eyes, her face was also covered in makeup making her look a lot older than she is.

Something about her didn’t sit right with me, I could sense something familiar about her but I couldn’t put my finger on it and the young boy with them looked exactly like his father. “So this is Adonis, hello I’m your uncle Victor nice to meet you” the man seemed nice so I greeted him back saying “hello my name is Adonis Von Drakos nice to meet you Uncle and Grandma” I called aunt Lilian grandma which everyone found funny.

My parents were holding their laughter but Zander only smiled and Eleni giggled a little and uncle Victor also seemed to be holding his laughter but aunt Lilian only forced herself to smile and say “ no dear child I’m not your grandma but your aunt Lilian, I was told you were a smart child but not that you were funny as well” is what her mouth is saying but her eyes were saying differently.

“ Come on Lilian he’s just a child you don’t need to take it seriously” mother said as she picked me up and told me to apologize to her and I did but she didn’t seem any happy about it and only said “ it’s okay since I was called here to be accused and now humiliated it’s not your fault, now if will excuse us we shall take our leave now” she left with her son besides her. Uncle Victor apologized to my parents before leaving to go after his wife and child.

I’m sure of it now she was involved in this whole situation, I'm also sure she has her people hidden in the mansion and now that I have provoked her I’m sure she will be planning something soon but before that I need to visit Lizzy and get some information on her and see if I could find anything about who could possibly be her backer.

“Let go to the garden and enjoy the rest of our afternoon ok” mother said to me smiling and I nodded my head happily, I want to take this time to rest before getting involved in this case because I have to prepare myself for whatever battle awaits me tomorrow so let me value the little peace I’m getting right now.
