Chapter 61: Ace vs Doma III - The End.

___

Ace gazed at the behemoth of the Buddha statue before him, his breath catching at its massive size. The dark hue and the peacefully sleeping face emitted an eerie, malevolent vibe.

Despite the unsettling presence, Ace knew time was of the essence; he had to quickly finish the battle. As every part of his body that had once touched the ice now itched terribly, an uncomfortable sensation coursing through him.

A nauseous feeling welled up within him; perhaps it was his body's attempt to expel the foreign substance invading him, particularly the gash on his waist, which seemed to be succumbing to….he didn't know what actually it was.

And if it weren't for his [Hybrid style-Sun & Moon] Ace believed he would have already succumbed to the debilitating effects of the ice. Overexerting both body and mind simultaneously was the only way he managed to suppress whatever the black fog was doing inside him.

"It's the first time I've ever used it against a human, so take pride in that," Doma stated.

Ace maintained a smirk, refusing to let the discomfort disrupt his composure. "You picked the wrong day for experiments, Demon. And I'll ensure it's your last," he declared with his words unwavering, cutting through the tense air.

Ace rose to his feet, his eyes fixed on Doma perched on the Buddha statue's shoulder, surrounded by three clones preparing for an attack. He inhaled deeply, allowing his body to absorb as much air as possible.

[Ethereal Insight: See Beyond the Veil of Reality]

Ace's eyes began emanating an indescribable colour, perplexing to anyone who might witness it. In all of his earlier uses of the Ethereal eyes, their influence was limited by his current soul power, which wasn't substantial.

It was only against his fight with Akaza that he pushed his soul power to its limits, gaining partial control over his fighting spirit. Now, he was again using it once more, elevating it to a higher level, fueled by the remaining spiritual energy left up after using it up on Daki.

Yet, this time, Ace wasn't using it to gain partial control over his fighting spirit. Instead, he harnessed its power to expand his vision to the utmost limit, discerning all the potential attacks the Bodhisattva could unleash.

Just as he completely used his reserves of soul & spiritual power on his Ethereal Eyes, the world he was seeing started changing.

Ace's enhanced vision reached such precision that he could discern even the pores on Doma's skin and the minute droplets of blood emanating from his body. Every subtle movement, from the micro-twitching of muscles to the rhythm of his breathing, lay exposed to Ace's heightened perception.

His supernatural perspective also underwent a significant enhancement, extending beyond the immediate battle.

Ace was even able to perceive the intricate connections between every structure in the world. He observed the interlinking between the Bodhisattva and its clones, to Doma. There was even

bloody-red thread stretching out from Doma that stretched to a far distant point.

But what caused him to raise his eyebrows were the thousands of evil spirits surrounding Doma, hovering above his head. These ghosts had twisted and contorted bodies with malevolent expressions on their faces, attempting to gnaw on Doma's form but their claws just passed through him.

But now was not the moment to dwell on these since he was pressed for time. He needed to kill him before the cooldown of his Ethereal eyes took effect.

Doma fixed his gaze on the human he had been locked in fight with. If someone asked him to describe it, he would confidently say it as the most arduous fight he had ever faced against a human.

Even losing one of his arms, a scenario he had considered implausible. Despite savoring the pain that brought a newfound thrill to his long life, there was still some lingering regret in heart.

Suddenly, he saw the human's eyes glowing in a colour... he couldn't actually describe, evoking goosebumps so intense that not even Muzan had elicited such fear. The radiance was ancient, indescribable, and incomparable, leaving Doma feeling like an ant in the presence of an overwhelmingly superior force.

In a panic, he hastily commanded the Bodhisattva to rain down a flurry of punches upon the human, using all four of its arms.

As if he was seeing the future, the human danced around the flurry of raining punches, effortlessly avoiding them.

BOOM!!!

A resounding boom echoed through the battlefield as the Buddha statue's colossal fist struck the ground, forming a crater of considerable magnitude. However he realized the human had vanished from the impact site.

Swift as the wind, Ace had repositioned himself, now running along the Buddha statue's massive arm, closing the distance between them.

The other three arms lunged in a synchronized attempt to smash Ace before he could reach Doma. However, Ace calculated their movements before they even initiated the strikes by observing the subtle changes in the link between the buddha statue and Doma.

Leaping away from the impact zone of the second fist, Ace continued to run along despite the barrage of attacks. Doma's frustration grew as more and more fists pounded the battlefield and he still couldn't hit him.

'How is he able to evade them?' Doma exclaimed, bewildered by the human.

[Dark Frost: Hundred Scattering Lotuses]

As Ace deftly evaded the relentless punches of the Buddha statue, Doma unleashed hundreds of ice lotuses, each hurtling towards him with deadly precision.

Reacting with lightning speed, Ace entered a state of calculated focus. In a mere moment, he assessed the reach and direction of each ice lotus.

[Natural Ways: Lunar Flow Stance]

Executing a series of agile moves, Ace was able to deflect the ice lotuses. However, Doma seized the opportunity, manipulating two of the Buddha statue's massive hands to deliver a powerful slam towards him, aiming to sandwich him in between.

[Natural Ways: Solar flare Strike]

In a swift and decisive move, Ace swung his glaive in a wide sweep, cleaving the two hands of the Buddha statue in two. But, the force behind the colossal hands proved formidable. The impact reverberated through Ace's entire being, his organs rattling within as broken bones cut through him, but gritting his teeth he held onto the pain and leaped using the cleaved hands as platform before they could rejoin.

Calculating the trajectory Ace was able to choose the perfect path to Doma evading the other two hands.

Merely ten meters away from Doma, Ace suddenly saw him smirking toward his direction and shouted. "Now!"

Just as he shouted, all three of his clones, along with the Buddha statue, opened their mouths, in unison, unleashing a colossal icy breath that expanded to cover the entire battlefield.

[Dark Frost: Freezing Clouds]

In the aftermath of the attack, Doma smiled in victory as he surveyed the icy desolation stretching over a vast 100-metre radius.

As he took a step to advance , Doma suddenly felt that something was wrong. But before he could think about it, a sudden unknown feeling seized him. He felt himself falling to the ground, he tried to stop his fall, but no matter how much he willed himself to stop, he couldn't.

Thud.

"H-How?!" Doma's panicked voice filled the air. His eyes widened as he saw his own body standing without a head.

He didn't feel when his head was cut down. But from the corners of his eyes, Doma spotted the human who had struck him, standing unconscious, leaning on his glaive. The ice-covered his whole figure and displayed numerous cuts covering him as blood dripped from his body onto the frozen ground.

Anger surged within Doma as he looked at the still-living human. Despite his crumbling head, he formed an ice shard in his mouth to shoot and end his opponent. However, just as he aimed to launch the lethal blow, a metal spike ball came from nowhere and crashed down on him, obliterating his head into pieces.
