3 Kanao Tsuyuri

Arriving at the butterfly mansion, Mahito used his strong legs to jump over the main gate. As he leapt over the entrance wall, sounds of thunder-rumbling began to resonate around the area.

Disregarding the residents entirely, Mahito considered such actions the ideal way to exhibit his perceived strength and dominance to others, in line with his intentions.

Licking the Dango he bought from the street vendor, Mahito entered into the vast Mansion.

Noticing that three rabbits were peeking in his direction from the moment he entered the mansion, Mahito didn't care about it and just moved toward their side with a weird smile on his face.

In the courtyard of the Butterfly Mansion, little girl Tsuguko was seated on the balcony of the Mansion near the pond. She was playing with the numerous butterflies, entirely immersed in her thoughts.

As if a current ran down her spine she stood up and looked toward the entrance of the mansion anxiously; unable to maintain the uncertainty of who this new uninvited person might be.

Soon she saw her friend, Aoi bringing a white-haired tall person in her direction.

A panicked expression was written all across Aoi's face. The person behind her wore an expression that was anything but a smile.

Kanao Tsuryuri was stunned since she had seen this person a few times before only from a distance. She had never talked with him. She observed that his way of walking was too refined as if he was on high alert all the time.

Throughout this entire time, she remained silent, refraining from uttering a single word, even when the other person confronted her directly.

Mahito looked at the figures of two loli calmly and figured out their bust sizes with a single glance. He was quite good in that as he knew about the measurement too well. For the last two months, Mahito had played with multiple female demons even if it was a disfigured one. For this reason, his yearning for any sexual pleasure was several times high.

Causally admiring their still-budding curves he said with a smile, "Morning, Quiet girl."

Kanao didn't say a word, as usual, she looked up at his face and nodded.

Experiencing this awkward situation with a deadpan look on her face, Aoi urged herself to speak, "Kinoe Sama, is there something you like to tell us?"

Mahito turned his head toward her and nodded, "Indeed. I wanted to meet Oyakata Sama. Although I already know the location, I just wanted to make sure that I wouldn't cause any disturbance in there."

Hearing what he said, Aoi and Kanao didn't know what they could do to help him. Even they didn't know the location of the Main manor of the Demon Slayer corps. Aoi sighed and said with a nervous expression on her face, "Kinoe Sama, I do not understand how could we assist you."

Mahito laughed out loud when he heard her. He gazed at both of them and let out a few words to clarify the situation, "It's obvious for you to misunderstand me since I'm looking for the master of this mansion."

Kanao and Aoi understood him this time and nodded.

The former one didn't say a word again while the latter one spoke with an uneasy tone, "But... Shinobu Sama isn't here."

A knowing look materialized on his face after listening to what she had said, and with a calm tone, Mahito replied causally, "Hmm. Now that's a problem... Well, whatever, I'll visit Oyakata Sama myself then."

Giving one last look to them Mahito was about to leave, however, the next moment he heard an annoying voice coming from the mansion. He turned to look at Aoi and asked her directly, "Who is that?"

Aoi wanted nothing but to run away quickly because his aura was too oppressive for her.

Looking at the source of the loud voice, she remembered who it was and then replied to him respectfully, "Kinoe Sama, they are the low-rank demon slayers who were injured in the forest of Mount Natagumo."

Mahito nodded at her, "Hmm... Is there a yellow-haired kid or a boar mask freak among them?"

Shocked, Aoi nodded again and again.

Confirming his suspicions and unwilling to linger, Mahito turned on his heel to depart. However, before making his exit, he remarked with genuine surprise, "Interesting."

Yet.

Just as he was about to sprint away, he felt a little force grasping him from behind. Turning his head to look at the cause he saw Kanao clutching his Haori with her small hands. Her head was down and her body shivering.

He didn't know why she was doing it but her actions freaked out Aoi who was also about to leave. Seeing the sight of Kanao holding his Haori without a word caused Aoi to run away as fast as she could.

Mahito didn't know whether to laugh or cry at this situation. He talked to them nicely and even smiled at them gently from time to time. Yet, seeing her run away as if she had seen a demon almost broke his fake heart. He didn't mind her and looked at the quiet girl who was still holding his clothes tightly.

"What's the matter, Quiet girl?" said Mahito gently, his aura suddenly became so serene as if he was the epitome of peace himself.

Kanao shivered and backed off slightly. Her eyes began to roll comically. Don't know what to do at this point she took out a coin from her pocket and tossed it above, to Mahito's surprise.

However, the coin didn't arrive back to her as if it had disappeared.

She noticed that the coin was gone, but soon, she heard a voice that caused her to shudder again, "Are you looking for this?"

Looking above, she observed that the coin was in Kinoe Sama's hand. Again, a horror started to creep up on her spine. She didn't notice when or how her coin got snatched.

It was too unreal for her because the other person was so fast that she wasn't even able to glimpse at his movement; which meant— The other person was at the Hashira rank or even above.

S-shinobu Sama, Save me.

A thought came into her mind. She was too scared of this insanely strong person. Never in her life had she seen such a scary person.

Yet, to her expectation, Mahito simply gave her coin back to her hand and crouched down in front of her.

Mahito looked straight into her dark lilac-coloured eyes and said with a gentle smile on his face, "You see, Quiet girl. If you want to decide your every action by using this metal coin, I ain't opposed to that, however, just once, think how many opportunities and freedom you are missing just because of this coin," Mahito stopped talking, put his hand over her head and patted her few times, then continued in a gentle voice, "Listen to your heart, not to this."

At this moment, Kanao's heart reverberated with each beat, resonating loudly. As she observed his face closely, she couldn't help but notice his captivating beauty, causing her heart to race incessantly, as if she were enchanted by his presence.

Withdrawing his hand from her head Mahito stood up while saying, "So? Are you coming with me?"

Listening to him Kanao calmed herself down and nodded meekly.

She wanted to inform her Nee-chan about this person as quickly as possible.

But, the next moment she remembered that her Nee-chan, Shinobu had told her that today was going to be Hashira's meeting, so, she wanted to notify this attractive person about this information.

Yet, to her bewilderment, she found herself halfway through the mansion, clasped under his right arm, not aware how or when he held her like this.

Kanae Sama, I am scared...
