27 27: Demon Slayer Headquarters

The ride wasn't long, but on the way itsuki took a quick nap, afterall he hadn't slept for nearly a day due to the spider family issue.

A few hours went by, by now the sun was fully up as the carriage slowed down.

Itsuki peeked his head out of the carriage and looked around.

They were traveling along a far gravel path, surrounded by the lush green of nature, in the distance there stood a wooden Japanese-type building, the scene in front of it was amazing, it was surrounded by a long wall with a tall arched gate.

A small river flew through the area, with a bridge leading towards the building, the place was very well decorated and looked incredibly beautiful.

This was the demon slayer headquarters where the leader, lord Ubuyashiki lived, it was also where the hashira held meetings.

In a few minutes the group entered the demon slayer headquarters, the assisting members started unpacking and taking all the people who needed to heal into a building.

While leaving tanjiro on the ground.

Itsuki just found a random tree next to a calm pond and sat down to meditate, he didn't have anywhere to go afterall, Shinobu left immediately after they came, and so did everyone else except for a few assisting members who watched over tanjiro.

"Hey, wake up"

Itsuki opened his eyes as the sound of yelling entered his ears, it wasn't aimed at him.

But after looking back, he saw an assisting member trying to wake up tanjiro, surrounding him were a group of people, all carrying looks that stood out, they all had nichirin swords, not one of them was even a bit weak.

These were the hashira, the pillars of the demon slayer corps.

There were exactly 6 of them, Shinobu was there, but giyu was no where to be found.

Tanjiro woke up and looked around in shock, after a bit of struggle did he find out he was tied up.

"Who are these peop-" tanjiro couldn't finish his words before the man in all black grabbed his head forcefully.

"What people? You are in the presence of the hashira" the man said as if it was the best glory in the world.

"This is the demon slayer headquarters, you are about to be put on trial" Shinobu said with her same usual smile, which was ever-changing.

Tanjiro could care less about what they were saying since he was clueless, he was more worried about nezuko, where was she?

His face turned even more ashen and anxious.

As he called out her name, as well as zenitsu, and inosuke, the sound of slithering rang out.

I'm front of itsuki, atop a tree, the serpent hashira sat there calmly in a black and white haori, a white serpent slithering creepily around him.

"Forget about the kid, what will we do with Tomioka" he said calmly, his voice soft and almost like a whisper.

"How is he not restrained as well, that's giving me a headache" Obanai iguru said as he pointed below.

"According to what Kocho said, he is just as guilty and broke the demon slayer rules" he seemed to not like giyu very much.

Obanai iguru has a strange appearance, he wore a white cloth like mask, but what was more eye-catching were his two different colors irises in his eyes, one was golden yellow, while the other was a dark green color.

"Don't you have anything to say? Tomioka?" He then pointed towards giyu who was standing with his back turned in the distance.

"Well I technically broke the corps rules as well, but that little girl didn't snitch?" Itsuki thought, afterall he did stop the girl's advance, meaning he was guilty as well.

"Your still as serpent like as ever, I love it" Mitsuri the love hashira said in her slightly too girly voice.

But her eyes lit up when she saw giyu in the distance, she even blushed slightly.

Itsuki turned away and just watched calmly as it went on, he wasn't planning on running out like an idiot and saying he was guilty as well..

The hashira then began to question tanjiro on why he was traveling with a demon, tanjiro complied and told them everything.

Obanai didn't believe shit he said, but the big stone pillar Gyomei was crying as if he had just read the saddest novel.

Itsuki didn't know if he should laugh or cry as well with this man, why the f*ck was he even crying? Was it that sad?

Tengen Uzui, the sound pillar said the most, he also didn't believe tanjiro.

"Just wait till I take all three of your wifes" itsuki joked in his mind.

"Hey hey, is that the retarded demon slayer who has a demon with him?" A slightly deep voice appeared in the distance, causing everyone to shift their attention.

Sanemi the wind hashira wore a white and green robe as he stood there while holding the box which held nezuko, he carried a huge smile on his face.

"What the hell are you trying to pull?" He said towards tanjiro as his smile turned sinister.

"Creepy" this was what itsuki labeled him as.

But as this man appeared Mitsuri the love hashira turned even more red, it was unknown if she really loved these people or was just being herself.

An assisting corps member appeared, urging the ind hashira to place down the box holding nezuko, even Shinobu seemed a bit angry.

"Do I just sit and watch?" Itsuki didn't know if he should help.

"It's fine, I'll just wait till something really happens" he calmed down a bit and relaxed.

But in the next moment..

Sanemi clutched his sword and said maliciously.

"Protect humans?? Don't you think that is absurd" his sword flashed before piercing into the box, stabbing into nezuko.

Itsuki liked nezuko, he wasn't comfortable watching this go on.

"I'll find a chance to beat him up and let nezuko watch later" he thought with a pained expression.

In under a minute, things escalated quickly, the hand-tied tanjiro managed to jump up to headbutt sanemi, causing the wind hashira to bleed from his nose.

The hashira were shocked, but Mitsuri couldn't hold herself and giggled for a second before covering her face.

Sanemi ended up picking up his nichirin sword after getting up, to make it worse, tanjiro had even told him to give up being a hashira.

But before hanemi could attack, two voices resounded.

"The master" x2

"Has arrived" the two voices said at the same time.

This caused everyone to look in the direction of the Japanese-styles building, the sounds of footsteps got louder in the ears of those around as a figure approached.

"Thanks for coming, my beloved children" lord Ubuyashiki said with a smile as he looked at the scene around calmly.

He wore a white robe with a crimson flame rising from the bottom.

This guy was actually blind, his eyes looked strangely white and surrounded by thick veins on his forehead, extending all the way above his nose.

Although he couldn't see shit, his hands were carried by the two twins before he looked up and said "good morning everyone, the weather is nice today"

"I wonder if the sky is blue, it's good knowing that you all have made it to the semiannual hashira meeting" he said calmly and slowly.

Itsuki walked up and got down on one knee, although most of the hashira were surprised by his sudden appearance, they too followed suit.

Shinobu only winked at itsuki with a bright smile, but Itsuki didn't react.

"I am pleased to see you in good health as well master" sanemi looked at itsuki strangely before forcing tanjiro on the ground and saying these words.

"Thank you sanemi" lord Ubuyashiki looked down and said with a nod.

"Master, please enlighten us before this meeting, about this swordsman tanjiro who is traveling with a demon" sanemi said calmly as he looked up.

"This bastard was all crazy and drawing blood before, but now he is calm?" Itsuki laughed as his gaze landed on sanemi for a quick second.

"Right... I apologize for startling everyone, tanjiro and nezuko, I've sanctioned their situation" lord Ubuyashiki said calmly.

"And I want you all to accept it as well" his gaze swept past the hashira, even though once again, he truly couldn't see shit.

But hearing his words definitely caused the hashira to be shocked and surprised.
