15 Chapter 15

As Kyoshi ran down the mountain towards the Koga Village, Keiko and Habuki were engaged in a conversation with Rui's fake family that took on the name Tsukimo as their family name.

Ever since his abusive character was taken out of the picture, they seem to have become a real family. Well after their "father" was taken out by Kyoshi and the brother was morphed back into a humanoid body that is.

The only thing that they had that showed Rui was actually there, was their appearance. Since Rui was the one to give them the type of power they had, they each kept their appearance the same.

A/N: I'm just lazy.

After Keiko killed Rui she asked the other lower moons about that "fake family" that Kamanue was yelling about. After getting some info she went there with Habuki and Kyoshi.

After telling them that she killed Rui they broke down into tears, but it wasn't in sorrow. It was in pure joy. All but the "father" demon seemed pleased and he lashed out leading Kyoshi to cut its head off with ease.

He also told the spider brother to get a humanoid form since that spider body looked absolutely repulsive. After that day, they had made it normal to go visit them once or twice a week.

Over the course of three years they developed a type of family relationship. Like they were cousins. Today was one of those visits. A regular visit just to catch up on things and to see how they were doing.

"It's been a little annoying to be here though. It seems like more and more demon slayers keep showing up. I feel like one of these days a Hashira's gonna show up at random." Koyuki said.

Koyuki Tsukimo was the name the mother spider decided to go by. Everyone in the family were shocked when they got to choose a name for themselves. It was like kids when they have five dollars and go to a corner store.

It took a whole day for them to finally decide on a name they wanted without hearing another name and deciding to switch it for something cuter or manlier.

Out of the three family members left, there was obviously Koyuki, then Mayumi, and lastly Isamu. While the three of them were the last ones left alive, they seemed to get along nicely.

The originally broken down house they lived in was fixed up with the help of Kyoshi in his free time when he was still a little kid. All the people that were strung around in those web cocoons were taken out and promptly buried around the mountain.

They couldn't be eaten because they already started to decompose and things like that. So after basic cleaning and stuff of that nature the old run down house was in shape to hold a family.

The only problem was Demon Slayer and hikers who ventured up the mountain. The hikers noticed the houses started looking better and better over time and told more and more villagers.

At some point, Demon Slayers were sent to check it out since some demons are known to have places that they use as their own territory.

After the first batch didn't come back, they sent more, after them they sent more and it kept going like that. It's already been happening for three months now.

The family still eats people when their hungry, but that's obvious. At this point they're just getting annoyed.

The last time this happened they were playing a board game in their living room and somebody came down from the room and landed on the table.

The guy obviously got ripped to shreds since he not only got in the way of their family time, but broke the table, the roof, and the game. It would've been worse if he broke any of the pictures they had showing the progress of their attitude since Rui was gone.

"You guys are having that problem too huh? At first it started happening to us as well, but I guess a lot of demons got scared of two lower moons being there along with Kyoshi since he frequently ate demons that challenged him." Keiko said.

"Eating demons?" Isamu asked with confusion on his face. He looked relatively the same as he did before, but he has a body now and wears the standard white and red Kimono.

He did seem to hold a certain air around himself now. He was kinda like Kyoshi when they talked about stuff like poison and chemistry. Without Rui being there his curiosity on chemicals shined.

"Isn't that like, a bad thing to do?" Mayumi asked.

For a while now, she had held a secret that she wanted the family to know. It weighed on her heart since the day it happened and furthermore it was something she hated herself for.

She told the family of how after she became a part of the "family" one of her sisters started talking to her about escaping. She was happy about the idea, but after some thought she realized how dumb it was.

She knew Rui was a lower moon and that their power was nothing to him, so the chances of them getting away was right down to zero. Sadly, she already agreed.

Her sister was happy and actually smiled since the first time she'd gotten into this shit hole of a family and she didn't want to ruin it by reconsidering.

She also didn't want to receive a punishment if they got caught, so she decided to make her own plan. She'll tell Rui so she doesn't receive a punishment in hopes that Rui wouldn't kill his other sister.

Sadly she was wrong. After they started with the plan and were almost down the path and down the mountain, Rui was waiting.

Mayumi left her sister and stood by Rui while looking at the ground with crossed arms and a nervous expression. Later that night Rui tied her to the outside of the house and let her burn in the sun while giving Mayumi a pat on the back for notifying him of a traitor in the family.

To his face Mayumi accepted that happily, but on the inside she was dying. Now with Rui and their father out of the picture everyone seems to be living better and happier, but she wasn't happy at all.

Day in and day out she bashed herself for those dumb decisions. Now with this new lifestyle she constantly had nightmares of her sister constantly asking why she betrayed her and why she was hogging this life for herself.

And overtime she became depressed. Depressed at the fact that if she hadn't got her sister killed she could be here with them laughing and living with cousins and real family.

After telling this to the rest of her family they forgave her and tried consoling her, but she didn't forgive herself. Every night they could here her crying and mumbling about how much she hated herself and loather her existence.

Sometimes when she thought about suicide demons all around the mountain base could feel the depressing aura. The only reason she didn't follow through was because the rest of the family would become depressed and because her little cousin Kyoshi would've been mad too.

A/N: She two years older than him

In current times she wasn't fully over it, but instead of crying she just decided to do better. She started turning herself into a proper women like those rich people and she gained an air of elegance around her.

Although she still harbored deep hatred for herself in her heart she tucked it away and focused on trying to atone while she was still alive.

"I wouldn't say it's bad. Compared to where they need to be, most of those demons are weak. Like you guys now, can probably go for the lower ranks of the Kizuki if you wanted." Keiko said.

"Yeah, Muzan doesn't like weaklings and neither does Akaza. I think Kyoshi gets those habits from him. Apparently the top three upper moons eat demons and get stronger than eating humans." Habuki added.

"Wait, does it taste good? Then again you're eating your own kind, it's sorta weird." Itsumu said.

""No, it's absolutely repulsive and single handedly the worst tatsung thing I've ever put in my mouth other than trying to eat a humans burger."" Habuki said quoting Kyoshi word for word.

"So why eat it?" Koyuki asked with a tilted head.

"He said while it is disgusting you get more RC cells than you do eating regular people unless they have marechi blood." Habuki answered.

"So does he just regularly eat demons?" Itsumiu asked.

"Oh no, he only eats demons if they're kinda strong or hold a good amount of RC cells. Well he also eats them if their annoying since you know, they're alive while it's happening."

"Ehh, isn't that just, inhumane?" Itsumu shouted.

"I had the same reaction, but I'm sure most demons know this already, but he's been with Muzan a lot. Learning stuff like history and getting more information from outside the country.

He asked me how something can be inhumane when humans were the ones to start doing it in the first place and then went on a rant about how humans have cannibalized and done even worst things to their own kind before." Habuki said.

"Do you guys also…?" Koyuki asked trailing off her sentence.

"Ehh, from time to time." Keiko replied.

"EHHHH!!"

"YOU WONT EAT US RIGHT?!?"

"WHY IS THIS A THING?!?"

…

While Kyoshi was getting ready to go i to the Koga village, Seikichi was headed towards the Demon Slayer hotel, Muzan was preparing a few things in Tokyo with Tanjiro on his way there, and finally Hinā playing with the butterfly mansion helpers.

This family was having fun with what they called their distant relatives. While this peace was a nice thing, everyone under the stars know, peace is just a period before one side attacks to start a war.

This wasn't rly anything too crazy just some happiness before everything starts to unfold along with some character revisions.

How'd you like it? The character changes and stuff like that.

Those OC's I introduced last chapter should be the last OC's to make up the full and main cast of this DS ff.

Anyways with school starting back the times I upload may or may not change, but I'll still try to get a chapter a day.
