"what brought this up so suddenly" asked irina clearly stunned.. The previous Kael would have never asked something like this. He was weak and not so confident in front of her.. He spent his whole time idling around or hunting weak beast in the woods
"Answer me mother" replied Kael
"what do you think? I attained my current position by sheer Will and talent.. I paved my way through my tears and blood.. I trained, fought wars, killed my way to my current position.. Of course I'm not satisfied. Do you think the title of baroness is all I aspire to. I want more, viscounts, counts those should be mere stepping stones for me Kael.. With my talent I could reach those easily but the resources and suitable mana circulation techniques are hard to obtain, Kael. Unless I join one of those demon factions it is practically impossible to get.. And those available are too expensive for a weak territory like ours? "said irina

"Where did you get this. Don't tell me you got this from a one of those factions.. If this is the case you can take it back, I won't go under those factions " Raged irina throwing the manual circulation technique to Kael.. Her mana erupted
Kael was stunned by his mother sudden outburst and had a hard time resisting the sudden outburst. Sensing the situation irina quickly controlled her mana
"No mother, this is not from those factions. Do you think those factions would come to recruit us?"
"not really, but some of those picks are pretty interested in me and they would do anything to have me. They are just afraid others would take action if they did try to take me by force. So where did you get this?
