4 The Great Forest
(A/N: I feel like my chapters are going slowly...)
Forgetting to check the map on in the Coraline Handbook, he opened to the very last page and saw a folded piece of paper. He picked it up and unfolded it to show a large map of the world. It included 4 very large continents and each and every kingdom labeled and the continent as well. The name of the kingdoms is the Human Continent, Beastkin Continent, Pandora Continent, and Olympian Continent.
The arrangement of the continents are weird though, they are literally arranged like stair steps with the bottom continent as the Human Continent and the top continent as the Olympian Continent. Very weird.
John scratched his head and decided to focus on the kingdoms. But when he was focusing on trying to find the kingdoms, he saw a shiny peck of a green dot on the map. It is located in a medium clearing in a very large forest called the Great Forest. And when John looked around, he's in a medium clearing in this endless forest. Now, he knew that he was actually in a large forest, a huge one actually.
He turned his focus back on the trying to find the kingdoms. The Great Forest expanded into 5 kingdoms, Crimson Kingdom, Golden Kingdom, Olympia Kingdom, Jupiter Kingdom, and Geon Empire. When his eyes went back to his location on the map, he realized the area he was on the outer edge of the Crimson Kingdom. And a black dot that borders the outer edge of the Crimson Kingdom has the words, "Aviery City" beneath it. The Great Forest is also right next to it, so he decided to travel there and explore everything. (A/N: Nations would've been a better word instead of kingdoms, but I don't know, it's the medieval age anyway [with guns that is].)
When he started walking, he checked his Spatial Storage once more, but he was surprised. He sees two new item.
[Lion King Skin Gun Strap -

(A/N: Okay, I think I f-ed up Arlos' personality or something I don't know. He was supposed to be a carefree character and evil at times. So uh, I guess I can add a comedic personality to him?)
"Goddam#it, Arlos." Cursed John. (A/N: I don't know if it will censor the word, so I'll just do it lol.)
Without thinking, he took out the gun strap and the Crimson M16 assault rifle and attached them together. He used the ability of the Crimson M16 assault to change the assault rifle to the default color and moved on to take out the sheath and the Adamanite Sword. He then proceeded to equip the sheath around his left waist and sheath the sword. Now, he is ready to go on an adventure!
Remembering where the line on the map leads to, he walked towards a path where not much vegetations grew. After a few minutes of walking, he heard shouting noises followed by the sound of metals clashing. John became vigilant and took his M16 into a comfortable firing position and walked towards the direction of the chaos.
When he approached the area, he saw a huge gorilla-like beast slamming and punching wildly where about a dozen what looks like humans in tattered armor is keeping a distance away from the terrifying beast. An average looking but fit man with a small bearded shouted out, "Jol, Sol, and Nelson, go kill the Grolia."
"Yessir!" The three replied and started dashing towards the gorilla-like beast named Grolia with their sharp swords raised, ready to strike down.
"ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!" (A/N: I don't even know what I'm typing nor do I know how to type out a roaring sound.)
The Grolia immediately saw the 3 charging humans and roared at them. It suddenly jumped with very high jump power and smashed one of the charging trio flat. The person's body flattened like a pancake, with blood as the honey and the brain as the cherry on top, or splattered on top. The other 2 madly swung their swords. Their movements clearly have many flaws, like a child swinging a wooden toy sword.
John looked at the surrounding men that are taking their distance away from the trio, or duo since one of them died, and the Grolia. He squinted his eyes because they were actually conversing with each other happily without a single care about the duo or show any sympathy for the dead youngling that just died.
He lifted his gun and aimed at the bearded man's head. His eyes squinted showing an electrifying murderous glint, he pulled the trigger.
Bang.
Gunfires rang out like a pen dropping onto the floor inside a silent classroom. The bearded man's head exploded, leaving a trail of blood and brain bits to the opposite direction of where the gun was fired. All of the dozen men looked at their leader with widened and fearful eyes. To those men, that bearded man was their strong leader, and his strength is higher than all of those men.
John was surprised with the firepower of the Crimson M16, it can literally erase a person's head from existence and replace it with blood and air. John smiled, and dashed away from his position and started running and gunning. (A/N: If you don't know what "running and gunning" means for some reason, it means he is just running while shooting.)
His speed is 5 times faster than when he was on Earth. Thinking it was Arlos' doing, John smiled weirdly and increased his speed. All the men could see was a blurred figure. Bodies started falling and spilling blood and guts on the trees and plants. Screams of agony and pain echoed out in the morning sun.
Not only did he get a speed boost, but his strength is also strengthened. The recoil of the assault rifle is nearly nonexistent and it felt like he's holding a toy gun. This excites John even more as his face becomes more devilish and his murderous aura leaks out. This is the well known War Devil his comrades back on Earth talked about.
The Grolia took this chance with the men distracted and retreated since the Grolia still need to treat its children.
The men did not care about the Grolia and only focused on their leader's murderer. More gunfire erupted, and more bodies fell. The duo also silently left, quietly thanking that person who killed that dictator, and ran away as fast as they can.
With the disadvantage of the weight of a gun and it's recoil, John smiled evilly and continued with his slaughter. Screams rang out, blood splattered everywhere, even guts and bits of organs started flowing everywhere. Soon, the area was painted with red from blood and corpses in a pool of crimson blood. This was a massacre.
John slowly walked towards one of the corpses whos head was completely gun and his body full of bullet holes. Huh, I think I overdid it, thought John as he patted down the corpse to find a small sack of coins. When he took a peek inside the small sack, he saw many silver coins. He then realized that he did not know much about the currency of this world and decided to learn about it once he gets to Aviery City.
Next, he moved on searching the rest of the corpses. When he finished, he got 301 silver coins, 9 gold coins, and some sharp swords. He stored them into his Spatial Storage. Next, he looked around to see if the duo is here so he can ask on where they come from since most humans have a home, whether it is a small shack or a big mansion. Who knows?
Seeing that the duo isn't here, he shrugged and swung his M16 on his back and continued where he left off. After a few dozen minutes, he has arrived at the opening of the Great Forest. John looked up at the sky. The sun is setting, and the clouds are disappearing. John closed his eyes to take a deep breath of fresh clean air. When he set his foot in the military world, he only smelled the stench of blood and metal, but now he is finally breathing in fresh air.
After a few seconds of taking it all in, he decided to continue his walk. This is going to be an interesting journey, John said while smiling.
