Did they think he was stupid and didn't realize all of this was related to that old lady? The problem was he didn't know how to shoot, and as he didn't have any id, he wasn't allowed to go to a cyber café.

The police officer had mobile data in his phone, so he learned by watching youtube videos how to turn off the safety. He waited outside the police station, looking for everyone who tortured him for no reason. It was good to target practice.

The others started realizing that some of their companions were missing and came out to look for them. Ruby knew that this is how far he will go.

"I have no regrets in this life except one. If I could live my life again, I would have killed that old lady earlier."

He took a taxi where he used to live. The old lady lived just opposite his tiny abode.

He went to the old lady's house in the morning. Politely knocked on the door. He was still curious about what went through the old lady's mind, but this wasn't the time and place to think about that.

He hid behind the wall, so the old lady wouldn't be able to see his face through the other side of the door.

The old lady asked.

"Who is this?"

"This is pizza delivery."

A voice of a small kid came from afar.

"Grandma, did you order pizza?"

"My darling watermelon, eating pizza every day will ruin your teeth. You should eat some green vegetables."

" I want to eat pizza!, If you don't give me pizza, I will not talk to you."

"Ok, Ok"

"The door creaked open. The old lady came out. After I made sure that she was the same old lady, I pushed the gun down her throat and ordered her in a low volume.

"Get inside, and don't make a single noise."

The kid saw her grandma with a gun in her mouth and started screaming. Ruby asked him to shut up, but he wouldn't shut his trap, so he killed him.

The old lady saw her grandson die in front of her eyes. She fell to her knees. Tears could be seen forming on the corner of her eyes. She had beautiful blue eyes, which were shining because of the tears. She must have been a beauty in her youth.

Ruby started taking small steps towards the old lady when he heard quiet thumps coming from a room at the farther end of the drawing-room. The grandma also noticed those thumps and started shouting.

"Forgive them!!!! They have nothing to do with this. I was the one who poured the boiling water on you. Please don't do anything to them. Forgive them, please I am begging you."

A man and a woman came out from the room, in their bathrobes, empty-handed. Ruby hid his gun behind his back, facing both of them. They looked at the dead body of their son, lying face-first on the floor.

They both ran towards the boy. The woman held her son in her arms very gently, like she was holding an invaluable treasure. The father was crying out loud, his cries turning hoarse. The woman was calm and looked at Ruby with a knowing gaze.

Ruby thought why was she not sad? It seemed like she had accepted her child's death and didn't hate Ruby for it. Ruby pulled the gun out of his back and shot two consecutive bullets, one at her and the second at her husband.

The old lady was sobbing, snot on her face, tears running down her cheeks. Her face looked like an open sewer pipe. Completely different from her original beautiful appearance. Ruby felt nothing. All the pain in his heart subsided, but he didn't feel happy. Not even a bit.

Ruby thought

"Was my theory about ups and downs not true?"

He couldn't get to the bottom of this question. Was it because of the guilty consciousness? Maybe Killing all of the old lady's family right in front of her was a bad idea.

The old lady was still crying, her voice turning deep, and her cries sounded painful. Ruby thought of relieving her of her misery.

Ruby was excited.

"I want my turn to come sooner, but I have to ask one question from you before that."

"If you love your grandson and family so much, then why did you destroy the life of a seemingly innocent random old man, going about his life."

She didn't reply. Ruby could only hear sobs in return.

The old lady had long lost her sanity. Ruby could have tried to get the old lady to talk, but all he could think about was dying. He was trying to find a way on how to kill himself without any pain.

He aimed at the old lady. Seemingly nonchalant, looking at her with pity in his eyes. He pulled the trigger two times, and moments later, the lifeless body of the grandma fell on the ground. He looked at the dead body while in deep thought.

"May you rest in peace. What was your name again?"

Ruby was talking with a dead body. A small smile appeared on his face. He seemed relieved and satisfied. Only one bullet was left in his revolver. He placed the bullet on his temple and pressed the trigger.

*splurt*. He could see his own blood gushing out of his head, splashing all over the walls painting the room red. His body fell to the ground with a huge thump. His lips curved upwards, seemingly happy. No one knows what Ruby was thinking in his last moments.

*--------------------------------------------------------------*

Ruby was born in Belli, a large city on Mearth. His dad was a burly 300-pound middle-aged man with huge muscles and paper-thin skin.

Ruby held his gaze, struck by the aura of power around his dad.

He tried to grab his father Gabriel's finger and giggled a bit.

Ruby soon realized he had some slimy stuff all over his body. As if his father Gabriel was reading his thoughts, he picked up a very soft towel and rubbed him, after which he put Ruby back on his bed.

Ruby looked around curiously and realized that there was another thing here, an arm. This arm was also gigantic. It was smooth, velvety, and even gentler than the first one. It felt so good that it made him sleepy.

When he woke up, Ruby's tummy was growling like a roar of a tiger. Her mother Aysel noticed the misery of his child and gave him some milk.

While drinking milk, a finger kept touching his nose. It was itchy but gentle. He wanted to push it away, but whenever he retracted his hand, the giant hand came back to attack his nose. It was fun at first, but then it became annoying. Crying seemed to be a fine method to ascertain inconvenience.

After two to three hours, he felt something coming out of his backside. A rotten smell infiltrated his small sensitive nose. He just realized how good this place smelled, but this pungent smell was too much.

His mother's face didn't show any clue of disgust from the rotten smell and cleaned his butt. He sighed in bliss which brought about some giggles.

"Eiyah" (Can you sponge my butt again?)

"Your poop smells so bad, you naughty demon."

"Eiyah eiyah EIYAH eiyah" (My poop smells like roses, you just have a bad taste or smell in this case.)

"Yeah, yeah, now go to bed. Little boys need a lot of sleep. I will try to add some rose water in your milk from tomorrow."

He enjoyed every bit of love and affection he could gather. He felt like he should place great value on the company of someone that truly loved him, but wasn't it unusual for a 4-month-old baby to ponder about these things?

Isn't it normal for a mother to love her son? But this baby is not ordinary by any sense of the word. If he was, you wouldn't be reading this story.
