20 The confusing truth

Xuan was watching the tv when Mingmei came there and sat beside him. She took the remote from him and then switched to a drama channel.

"Hey why are we watching this?," asked Xuan.

"Because I want to," said Mingmei. Her gaze was fixed on the screen. She smiled while watching the drama. Xuan was feeling hungry so he went to the kitchen to find something to eat. He took out chips from the cabinet and started munching them.

Hearing the sound Mingmei turned her head to him and then ran towards him. She snatched the packet from him. "Who told you that you can eat this?," asked Mingmei and put the chips in an airtight container.

"Hey I'm hungry," said Xuan and tried to take the container from her. But she quickly put her hands behind her back and said, "these are for Yang Dao and Feng Lui. They specially asked for this."

"What? They won't say anything if I'll eat them," said Xuan and extended his hand to take the container. Mingmei slapped at his hand lightly and walked towards the cabinet to put the container inside when Xuan took the container from her and ran outside to the living room.

Mingmei ran after him and tried snatching the container for him. "Human, how can you be so rude to me? It's just the chips...You can buy a new one for them," said Xuan and stretched his arm up in the air.

"I promised them so it's not yours," said Mingmei and tried reaching his hand. Xuan stood on his toes when Mingmei grabbed him by the neck and hugged him with one hand, cuddling him and with the other she tried taking the container.

"Hey leave me...leave me," said Xuan loudly.

"No I won't….Give me that container back first," said Mingmei. They kept on fighting with each other when Xuan's foot got stumbled and they fell on the sofa there. Mingmei was on top of Xuan with her lips on Xuan's lips. They stared at each other for a while when Xuan pushed her and touched his lips. He saw that blood was coming from his lips because Mingmei fell on him with a great force. He looked at her. Mingmei apologized to him and took the tissue from the table and started wiping the blood from his lips.

"Ahhh….," Xuan winced in pain. "It's fine I'll do it myself," said Xuan and took the tissue papers from her.

Mingmei went inside her room and after a few minutes she came out.

"Xuan let me apply this ointment over your lip….it will heal quickly," said Mingmei.

Xuan looked at her and said, "Just stay away from me. You can give the chips to me but you want to argue. And don't ever do that...that kissing…," said Xuan and took the ointment from her. "How to use it?," asked Xuan looking at the tube.

Mingmei took the tube from her and said, "I'll apply….sit." Xuan nodded and they both sat on the sofa. Mingmei took a small amount of ointment on her index finger and put it over his lip. She then looked at him and said, "Please forgive me."

"Hmm...It's fine. I don't want to eat," said Xuan and went away from there to his room in the basement.

Mingmei felt bad hearing this. She prepared the dinner for them and took the food to his room. "Xuan, open the door," said Mingmei and knocked at the door. Xuan opened the door and said, " I told you I don't want to eat." His stomach made the growling sound and they both looked at each other. Mingmei smiled and said, "please eat the dinner young master." Xian smiled hearing this and let her in.

She put the tray on the table there and told him to start eating. Xuan did so and was eating really fast. Mingmei smiled looking at him. "Why are you staring at me?," asked Xuan, looking at Mingmei.

"Xuan, you are really a kid. You get angry really quick but the next second you become happy. You must be a pampered child in your house. Your mother must care for you a lot " said Mingmei, looking at Xuan.

Xuan put the chopstick on the plate.

"What happened? Did I say something wrong?," asked Mingmei.

"I'm missing my home. I want to go back as soon as possible. Mother must be waiting for me," said Xuan.

Mingmei looked at him and said, "sorry this all happened because of me. If I weren't your bride then you would've caught that demon by now and returned back."

"It's not your fault. Eat you food..," said Xuan and started eating again.

After finishing their dinner, Xuan helped her in washing the plates although he has never done that work.

"Young master you should sleep now. Ahh tomorrow I'll get my salary so I'll give you a treat. Tell Brother Giyu to come too," said Mingmei with a smile.

"He's busy somewhere at work. So he won't be able to come," said Xuan.

"Ahh….I see. Then you have to come. Meet me outside my workplace in the evening," said Mingmei. Xuan nodded. Saying goodnight to her he went to the basement to his room.

Xuan was waiting for Angel Bingbing when a small ball hit his foot. He picked it up and looked at it.

"Brother give the ball," said a small kid. Xuan looked at him and thought to tease him.

"It's not your kid. This ball is mine," said Xuan and held the ball tightly in his arms.

The kid started crying hearing this. Xuan gets shocked seeing his reaction. "Hey kid. I was just teasing you. Why are you crying? Here take your ball ,"said Xuan and handed him the ball. But he didn't stop crying. Hearing his cries, the mother came there and glared at Xuan. She carried her kid in the lap and walked away from there.

"Human kids are just like adults. He doesn't have to cry over a small thing. Bad kid….," said Xuan. He sensed a smell of demonic blood and it felt to him that he had smelled that scent earlier too. He got up from the bench and followed the smell. He reached near a vacant land where construction work was going on. Fastening his steps he heard the screams of a person so he immediately hid behind a pillar.

"What are they doing? No...this can't be true. They are killing those two humans. Xuan you've to do something," murmured Xuan. The three demons there almost killed them when Xian threw a stone in their direction and ran away from there to the other direction.

"Who is there?," shouted one of them and gestured to the other to catch the human. Yes, they thought Xuan is a human. Xuan ran to the left direction of the site when the demon appeared there and told him to stop running.

"Ahh I think I made an irrational decision," murmured Xuan. He was going to turn to him to tell him that he's the young master when two demons came there. They were Nuwa and Ginni. Ginni, using her powers, caged that demon and disappeared from there. While Nuwa went inside the building. She caught the other two, squashing them in a cage. Her powers are unique in which she can send demons directly to the Demonic world jail. After doing this she took the memory of those two humans and made them disappear from there. She came out to see Xuan but he was already gone from there.

Xuan while walking in the street thinking about his powers which are being taken away from him. "I'm a useless being in this world. I don't know what would've happened to me if Nuwa didn't come there." He kept on walking when Angel Bingbing appeared before him and the next second they disappeared from there.

They were in the same park on the bench. "I was waiting for you for three hours," said Xuan.

"Sorry I was stuck in work," said Bingbing and smiled. "Well I have asked about this pendant. It was given by a human to her. She was actually an agent of Angels and demons. There are many human agents in this world. Xuan I think you're unaware about your powers."

"What do you mean?," asked Xuan.

"Xuan, you will lose control of your powers in the future. So this pendant is for your safety so that the powers must stay within your control whenever your powers will return. It not only saved the girl from bad demons but will also save you," said Bingbing looking at the pendant. He handed the pendant to Xuan and said, "don't lose it. From now on protect your demon bride. Well angels and demons now have good relations so you can call my name whenever you will need my help."

Xuan nodded and asked,"do you know anything about that masked demon?"

"I only know that he's related to your family. Lord Haya must have knowledge about this," said Bingbing.

"Father didn't tell me," said Xuan.

"There must be a reason. Wao Xu ran away with the drink so Lord Haya didn't think such a thing was happening. I think he got to know about this recently. Well, Xuan you've to find him yourself that's why your identity is hidden because that demon doesn't know that young master is here. You've to be careful from now on. Okay then I've to go...see you later Young master." Saying this Bingbing disappeared from there. Xuan looked at the pendant and put that inside his pocket.
