37 Granting a wish!!

Mingmei walked out from Eastern's palace. She was running through the pathway there. "How dare he say to me that I have no one. I never thought he would say something like that. I thought I will sacrifice myself even if he won't ask but now I won't do that. I will save myself. I still remember my parents last message to me - Live well and stay safe."

Thinking this Mingmei kept on running in that pathway. Fei Ming Si was coming towards eastern palace when he saw Mingmei on the opposite side of him, running away from the palace. "I think something has happened," murmured Ming Si and appeared before her.

Mingmei stopped seeing him. Her eyes were turned purple and seeing her eyes Ming Si got startled. "Why are her eyes looking exactly like that of Xian's? What has happened?" Thought Ming Si when Mingmei walked passed her.

But Fei Ming Si grabbed her arm and stopped her. He stepped back and looked directly into Mingmei's eyes. "Where are you going? This place isn't safe for you. What happened?," asked Ming Si.

"You all want me to die. I don't want to stay here neither do I want to see his face," mumbled Mingmei. This was the first time Fei Ming Si saw Mingmei this angry. He was feeling her energy and power engulfing inside her.

"You won't be able to go there if you run like this. The interface is very far from here and only a few demons can go there," murmured Ming Si.

"So? I'm a human whom he brought here. Did I tell him to bring me here? I was happy in my life. Why so I have to be his bride. I lost everyone because of this ill fate of mine. Not only that everyone thinks me as an object here. You all want me to kill myself just because I have no one," yelled Mingmei and jerked his hand.

Ming Si tried stopping her but wasn't able to go near her. "What's this? Why is my body being repelled by her? Xuan where are you?," thought Ming Si. Mingmei was ready to leave when Ming Si, resisting his own body and mind, grabbed Mingmei's arm again.

Mingmei glared at him and his hand felt a burning sensation. Because of this Ming Si immediately took back his hand. Mingmei stepped ahead when Xuan appeared there. "Xian," whispered Fei Ming Si.

Xuan had a deadly glare in his eyes. Both Mingmei and Xuan were staring at each other. "Where do you think you're going? Don't make me do the things which I don't want to," muttered Xuan and gritted his teeth.

"What did I do? Is it my fault that I was born with this fate? Saving myself from you all isn't a crime. You all want me to die. I don't want to live here anymore. Get away, " muttered Mingmei and pushed him when Xuan grabbed her hand pulling her towards him.

"Leave me," shouted Mingmei. Haya and his wife appeared there as someone reported the incident to them. But Xuan and Mingmei remained in that position boring into each other's eyes.

"Xuan," muttered Haya. Hearing his father's voice, Xuan released Mingmei from his grip. Mingmei turned to look at them. Haya looked into Mingmei's eyes.

"What happened?," asked Haya looking at Mingmei. Xuan was going to speak when Haya lifted his hand, gesturing to him to stop.

Mingmei bowed before him. "They wanted to kill me just because of a stupid prophecy. Xuan has no right to say to me that I've no one, even nobody in this world has the right to say this to me.

I want to go back to my place. I want you to make sure that Xuan never comes before me. I don't want to see any demon's face in my life. I don't want to entangle with your world," mumbled Mingmei.

Xuan looked at Mingmei. "Do you think that you'll be alive then on earth?," asked Xuan in anger.

"Before you haven't shown your face I was also living. If you ever showed me your face then I'll kill you," mumbled Mingmei in anger.

"How dare you talk with my son like this?," shouted Xia.

Mingmei laughed and said, "How dare he talk with me like this? I'm not his servant nor will I ever be. Respect is deserved by those who are worthy of that and I don't think he's worthy of my respect," murmured Mingmei.

"Just send me to the earth. I don't want to live here anymore," muttered Mingmei.

"Mingmei, I apologize to you for the mistakes of my people. I can understand what it feels like when someone says to you that you've no one. Your blood is the thing which a demon wants. Do you want your place to get destroyed?," asked Lord Haya politely.

Mingmei shook her head in refusal.

"That's why they are protecting you. Xuan isn't the type you're thinking. The prophecy has made us worry that's why we are concerned about her but then as you said it's just a prophecy. Humans have the ability to change it.

That's why I've not intervened till now. I know that you both will be safe that's why I sent Xuan on mission despite knowing that prophecy. Since you have thought many times about Xuan I will grant a wish to you." Lord Haya said.

Mingmei looked at him. "What should I ask?," murmured Mingmei.

"Anything," mumbled Lord Haya and smiled.

"But I heard demons are bad. Angels are good," murmured Mingmei lowering her eyes.

Xuan gritted his teeth. Lord Haya laughed hearing her. "Mingmei, humans have made many assumptions. Indeed some are bad but not everyone," explained Haya.

Mingmei smiled and said, "then I will make a wish. I want you to make me get a good job on the earth although I had one but it's not a well paying job and make Xuan my servant."

Ming Si laughed hearing this but then controlled himself when Xuan glared at him. Lord Haya and Jia laughed hearing this. Mingmei scratched her head seeing them.

"We don't make such wishes true. Your wish should be selfless," mumbled Lord Haya.

"Selfish," murmured Xuan. Mingmei heard him but ignored him.

"I don't know what I should ask for? For humans fulfilling needs are important," mumbled Mingmei.

"Okay if you want that I can modify your wish. You will soon get a good opportunity but it will be up to you whether you can grab that or not. Xuan is your servant there as he has to protect you," mumbled Lord Haya with a smile.

Mingmei got delighted hearing this. "Please forgive me for hurting Lim Jao. I really don't want to do that. I thought of teasing Xuan that time. I'm really guilty for that," mumbled Mingmei.

"It's fine," mumbled Lord Haya. Jia looked at Mingmei but didn't say anything. "Okay then we're leaving. You will be sent back soon," murmured Haya and disappeared into thin air with Jia.

Mingmei smiled and jumped in happiness. "Your anger vanished as soon as father told you that he would grant you a wish. You're such a selfish girl. I thought you're kind but you are a clever girl," muttered Xuan.

"I've learnt this from you," snapped Mingmei and went back to the palace. Fei Ming Si looked at Xuan and asked, " Why were eyes turned purple, similar to you?"

"I don't know," murmured Xuan and got worried.
