26 "My Powers are back"

Xuan Hao disappeared from the sight of Demon Lord and Angel Lord. Mingmei who was pacing in the living room of Fei Ming Si's house stopped walking when he saw Xuan in front of her. She ran to him and touched his face.

"Are you fine? He didn't do anything to you right?," said Mingmei with a worried look. She then hugged him tightly. "I thought they had done something to you. I thought because of me again someone is going to hurt," said Mingmei with a broken voice.

Xuan was moved by her sudden gesture. He put his arms around her and patted at her back. "I'm fine. I told you that no one can touch me a bit," said Xuan with a smile. Mingmei smiled hearing that but still tightly embraced in a hug.

"Her blood...It's scent is so captivating. No, I can't lose my control," thought Xuan in his mind and then released her. He then wiped off her tears and told her not to cry anymore.

"Why are your eyes purple?," asked Mingmei. Xuan smiled and said, "my powers are back....I'm happy. Wait let me take you to some new places with my powers." Mingmei got concerned and said, "what if they will find you? You will be hurt."

Hearing this Xuan started laughing and said, "They won't come back to threaten again. They also know the consequences. Don't worry about such things. Hold my arm and then we will go. But wait! Where will we go? Do you want to go somewhere?? Some special place?"

Mingmei then said, "we need money also. So let's first go to my house."

"Why would we go to your house when money for us is here. Ming Si has told me that I can take whatever amount I want to," said Xuan and went towards Ming Si's room. He opened the cupboard and then saw the money inside the cabinet. He took some of it and came out of the room.

"Let's go then," said Xuan. Mingmei gently held his arm and they both disappeared from there and reached the Bund, in Shanghai.

Mingmei smiled seeing the waterfront area. There were many people walking on the pavement above the waterfront area. She turned to Xuan and said, "I've wanted to come here for a long time." She then happily started running here and there. Xuan smiled looking at him. "This human has helped me now I've to give her every possible thing that she has wished for," murmured Xuan and walked towards her.

"Let's go in the water, it will be fun," said Mingmei. She held his hand and started running followed by Xuan. Xuan put the brakes on their running and said, "Hey, my clothes will get wet. Let's go there later. Let's first eat something."

Mingmei nodded and they walked towards the restaurant. Xuan looked at the menu and ordered meals for them.

'Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) and smoked fish slices' "Is this good Mingmei or do you want to order something else??," asked Xuan looking at her.

"Hmm it's good," replied Mingmei. Xian told the waiter about this and the waiter told them to wait for five minutes. "You can't even imagine how happy I'm today because my powers are back. But then your blood smell is addictive that my inner veins are getting attracted towards you," said Xuan.

"What do you mean?," asked Mingmei with a confused look.

"I mean just keep a safe distance from me else I'll drink your entire blood," said Xuan with a serious look. Mingmei blinked her eyes and her expressions changed to terrified ones.

Seeing her facial expressions Xuan started laughing. "I'm teasing you. No such thing will happen," said Xuan with a smile. Mingmei got relaxed hearing this. The meals were served to them and they started eating. After finishing their meals they came out of the restaurant and decided to return to Beijing and then stroll in the city.

Xuan did some shopping for him and Mingmei too although she kept on refusing. He told her to change her style and that way men will fall over her beauty. Mingmei hearing this smiled. She after changing to a floral dress asked him if it was looking good on her.

Xuan observed her and then opened her hair. "Eh...My hair," murmured Mingmei.

"Let them be like this. This way you will look attractive," said Xuan and smiled. After they were done shopping they returned to the home in the taxi. They were walking on the pavement when Mingmei turned to Xuan.

"What happened?," asked Xuan.

Mingmei smiled looking at him and said, "Thanks Xuan for today. I really enjoyed the day." Saying this she kissed Xuan at his cheek. Xuan got numbed at his place. Mingmei then got back and turned her face.

"You can't do that," said Xuan with a serious expression. The lines of tension over his forehead started getting visible.

"I know but I can't help. It was just a peck. Don't take other meanings of this," said Mingmei.

"This thing can only be done with your loved ones. Don't try to get close with me because once I'll find the immortal drink, I'll return back. Only you will be her hurt so it's better for you not to act like this. Even if you fall for me then....,"

Mingmei cut Xuan's words. Turning to him she said, "Xuan, you're the only family I can hold onto. We don't know the future, that's why I decided to keep going on whatever my heart says to me. I was terrified today that something bad has happened to you. Even if you're invincible, I'll keep on getting concerned about you because you've become my family. I know if I start loving you then there will be a day when one of us might lose the life and I will be the one who will kill myself because for you I can do anything. But then before that I'll keep doing things that I want to so that I won't be in regret."

Xuan looked at her and said, "don't consider me your family. A demon and human can't be one. Indeed you're growing feelings towards me but it will only be you who will eventually hurt. I wouldn't have been here, staying with you if I had the immortal drink. Don't consider me your family because the things I have done to you out of sympathy and help which you did the day we met.

Human girl you should control your senses before thinking about such things. You easily fell for a person who treats you good. Control your senses."

Hearing this Mingmei said, "I'll tell you the same thing when you will be in love. " Xuan gave a slight laugh hearing this and said, "I only love my family. Girls don't attract me. I have seen more beautiful girls then you but my heart didn't skip a bit. Why? Because I've controlled my senses. Well, I can understand that humans can't do that easily so let's not talk about this anymore. My work is to alert you because in the end I'll save myself and return to my world."

Mingmei turned and walked towards her house followed by Xuan.

The talks between the two were heard by masked Demon, Jiong. "Young master, so you've finally shown yourself. Your bride's scent is indeed attractive to you that's why you weren't able to smell my demonic scent. Now it will be fun. Finally I've found the way to defeat you, " murmured Jiong and disappeared from there.

In Mingmei's house, Fei Ming Si; Yang Dao and Feng Lui were waiting for them when Mingmei opened the door. Ignoring them she walked inside her room. Xuan came after her inside the house.

"Xuan," mumbled Ming Si.

"You've gotten your powers back and started wandering around the city," said Yang Dao and put his arm around Xuan's shoulder.

"We were afraid that the masked demon stood before you," said Feng Lui.

"Let's not talk about that now," said Xuan and got seated on the sofa. "Finally I'm free to do anything," said Xuan and smiled.

"Control yourself. If you roam freely like this then you can get caught," said Fei Ming Si. He crossed his arms and said, "you were lucky today because you called Angel Bingbing there else you're finished today."

"I could've found some other way," said Xuan.

"What other way? Xuan you're not getting my point. I told you clearly that don't get involved with her. What is something bad would've happened to you? What should have I answered to your mother? Xuan this time it's not about your powers but it's about your life. The fate you're carrying with that human isn't a small thing," said Ming Si.

Feng Lui grabbed his arm and said, "Ming Si, it's her house so she will hear us...Let's go." Xuan didn't say anything. The trio disappeared before the eyes of Xuan.

Mingmei who was inside her room heard their conversation got tense but thought not to talk with Xuan for now.
