Zeryon gradually opened his eyes. He had a vision of himself being trapped alone in a suffocating dark abyss. He couldn't move his body and couldn't say anything. He felt empty and almost gave up, but then he heard Gina call out his name and reach out to him.
He'd just realized he wasn't completely dreaming. Gina was sitting in front of him. Her expression was solemn. While sobbing, she pressed her face against his. He told her not to cry and assured her that he had came back for her.
"I'm glad you're awake now." Gina carresed Zeryon's cheek gently.
Zeryon felt at ease while leaning on Gina's shoulder and wrapping his arms around her. Despite his current state of near to death, with his head throbbing, he felt as if he had gotten a sip of water in the middle of the desert.
Vargas also encouraged Zeryon to hang on a little more. Then he turned around and started the car engine.
