The hot air began to surround the underground room. The meeting participants started whispering after Declan Whitelock his long explanation about the demons that had just crawled to earth's surface.
"So what's the solution to this incident?" one of the teachers asked.
"I leave it to the meeting participants to discuss to find the best solution," Declan said.
One of the men raised his hand as the sign he was asking permission to speak.
"Yes, please," Declan automatically responded.
"It's best to investigate the music class that sings the demon summoning spell," the teacher suggested.
Without thinking much Zeryon interrupted, "Yes, the music teacher should be investigated. Because she taught the song. While the students are new. It's even their first day. There's no way they would understand this. If they were investigated, it would arouse suspicion and the secrets of the academy would be exposed."
The head of academy nodded slowly. "That makes sense. The secret of the academy must be kept. There is no need we involve the students. I will start investigating the music teacher."
"How dare you, Mr. Zeryon." Meloda glared at Zeryon.
"I'm sorry Mrs. Meloda," Zeryon whispered.
The music teacher stood up and began to defend herself. "I didn't do anything. I've been singing the forgotten song for years and nothing ever happened! I don't have the power to summon those demons."
"Please calm down, madam. How ever, the investigation must continue so we can find a solution."
"However, I cannot accept this, as if you treat me as a criminal, Mr. Declan Whitelock." She hit the table.
"I have no other choice. Guard! Please take Meloda Wart to the investigation room," Declan ordered.
The guard immediately moved quickly, then grabbed Meloda's arm.
"Wait, you all can't do this! The arrival of the demons has nothing to do with me."
Meloda cursed and continued to defend herself as the guards started dragging her out of the meeting room. The meeting participants could only stare at her sadly.
He didn't know what they will do. But at least, he knew that Meloda was tougher than she looks, she would be able to survive the investigation compared to Gina, a girl who knew nothing about all of this.
Zeryon was relieved when the new students, especially Gina, were not involved. For a while she would be safe.
"So what will be done to the demons who made the mess?" another teacher asked.
"Perhaps, we can ask the higher-ups here for their opinion." Declan turned his head towards the arriving elite global guest. "What do you think to do, sir?" he asked.
"Return them to the underworld or perish," replied Duca Alastair in a low but firm tone.
"That's right. We don't have the funds prepared to train them beforehand. Especially if there are too many of them. Maybe the first option is better?" Declsn asked to meeting attendees.
Zeryon raised his hand and interrupted, "Isn't the portal in Hawaii only open at certain times, and it can't be predicted when? Right now the portal is still closed. Even I don't understand how the demons can get through the earth's surface."
"That song, can create a new portal passage that appears for a moment, then disappears again. Like the wind that carries dandelion flakes flying everywhere," Duca Alastair replied.
Zeryon nodded in understanding. Thus, the song was like a key to open the door of the border between the underworld and earth. Demons don't have to wait for the portal to open itself in time.
Even if Zeryon had the key, he wouldn't want to return to the underworld. He wanted to stay on the earth. It made him to think back to the deadline he had. He wanted to fulfill his passion.
The emergency meeting ended after a long discussion. The teachers and the luxurious-looking men stepped out of the room.
Zeryon got up from his seat, then returned to the elevator. Since there was only one elevator, they had to take it alternately.
Duca Alastair stood with his arms crossed. His gaze was unchanging, sharp and fiery. When he looked at his face, it seemeed quite familiar. But in disguise like a human now. It's hard to know his true identity.
The elevator door opened. The higher-ups entered the elevator, then Zeryon also came in. Not even a single among them spoke. Somehow they remained silent even during the meeting like mannequin statues.
Zeryon felt that they were actually demons disguised as humans. But he didn't want to think about them. There was someone on his mind more now.
A split second later, they arrived at the academy room again. The men galloped out.
Zeryon found out Vargas Nart waiting in the courtyard. He went straight to him.
"This is your phone." Vargas handed Zeryon's cell phone which he had taken from the car.
"Thank you, Vargas." Zeryon reached for his cell phone and doing a quick check.
There were several incoming messages and missed calls. But he ignored it all. He then called someone.
"Hello, how are you doing?" he said after he heard the one who was in the line answering.
"I'm actually not okay." Her voice sounded terrible.
"What happened?"
"It's about my sister. She said she has seen the same creature. I don't understand how he sneaked into our house."
How surprised Zeryon heard Gina's words on the other side of the phone. Another creature even appeared in her house.
"May I ask you something?" Zeryon asked.
"Yes, please."
"Did you learn classic songs in class and sing them?"
"Yeah, I've known that song for a long time actually."
"How do you know?"
"I don't know. Maybe a bedtime song. It's been a long time, but I still remember."
Zeryon nodded in understanding. Then he talked again on the phone. "Please take good care of yourself. And if anything bad happens, please call me. I'll be there as soon as I can."
"Okay. Thank you so much."
The conversation ended. Zeryon hung up his phone. Then he asked Vargas Nart to go home. Many things needed to be done.
