55 Lisanna

Alex and Mira made their way towards the town of Louen. Since they were no longer trying to follow a scent and instead using the map Alex 'borrowed' from the minds of the two captains, they made quicker progress than they had been. They flew at a hurried but measured pace, not wanting to be too drained when they got to town.

The conversation between the two was limited while they traveled, mostly comments about the strange landscapes they were passing. If it wasn't for the urgency they both felt now that they knew what was being plotted against their family, they probably would have stopped often to try and learn a bit about this land and enjoy the scenery.

As they got closer to where the town was supposed to be, Alex picked up the scent of Wendy and Carla again. Shifting his flight path slightly to head in that general direction, they picked up speed.

They came upon the new location of the magical tree/Guildhall and stopped. Alex knew Wendy and Natsu's group had already left but was hesitating still, he could sense the familiar presences of his friends and guildmates within the tree. Even though he knew they were the Edolas counterparts, one gave him pause.

All the Edolas counterparts had a very similar 'Smell', but without magic in their bodies it was not exact. The one that gave him pause reminded him of Mira, with only a slight difference. 'That must be Lisanna.' Alex mused internally.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go get our friends." Mira's words brought Alex out of his musings.

"They aren't here anymore. The wizards here are Edolas' copies of our friends, though something is strange." Alex said.

"What is it? And how can you tell" Mira asked curiously. She couldn't really tell the difference from just smell alone as she didn't have much practice identifying people from their magic signature.

"None of them have magic in their bodies, it ever so slightly changes their smell if you know what to look for." Alex replied. "Well, there is one with magic but I have not met them before. They remind me of you actually." Alex said as a follow up, turning to Mira.

"Of me? How bizarre. Is it my counterpart?" Mira asked with a tilt of her head.

"No, I can sense your counterpart too. The difference is enough that I would say sibling or relative, though it definitely isn't Elfman." Alex responded with a thoughtful look on his face.

He knew who it was, but wasn't sure if this was the right time for the two of them to meet. His internal thoughts were cut off when he saw Mira bolt towards the tree. "Hey! Where are you going!?" He called out in alarm.

"Lisanna." Mira muttered quietly, not answering Alex. As he chased after her, he could see the trail of tears following in her wake.

'Well, I guess this is happening. I wonder how she will take it.' Alex thought.

"Hey! Who are you!?" Someone called out to Mira as she headed for the door of the guildhall. "You can't go in there! That's our guildhall!" His fellow called after when Mira didn't stop.

Mira burst through the door and the two who had called out made chase when earth and stone rose out of the ground and locked their bodies in a stone prison up to their necks.

"Calm the hell down, We don't mean any harm to you or your fellows." Alex responded calmly as he walked past who he guessed was the Edolas version of Jet and Droy. They kept struggling and calling out to him but he ignored them and made his way into the guild building to back Mira up.

When Alex made it inside, he was greeted by the sight of Mira hugging Lisanna on the floor, both crying hysterically and talking incoherently, the rest of the guild just staring dumbfoundedly at the scene. They had already met Natsu and Wendy, so they knew of Earthlands counterparts being in Edolas but they hadn't expected to meet another one so soon.

"Who are you!?" Edolas Juvia asked sharply, bringing the rest of the dumbfounded wizards out of their stupor.

"Nobody important, don't worry about it." Alex responded flippantly.

"I'll protect you Juvia my darling!!" A fear filled pile of coats said, getting between Juvia and Alex.

'My how far you've fallen, Gray. I should record this and show it to him later.' Alex thought with some amusement. Juvia looked annoyed but didn't say anything to Gray, still staring daggers at Alex.

"Well if that's the case, you can get the hell out of here!" A diminutive girl with a fiery personality yelled out.

"Interesting, another polar opposite." Alex muttered as he looked at E-Levy. Others were about to raise a fuss when someone noticed Alex's guild mark.

"He appears to be from their Fairytail as well. He has the mark, but we don't have a version of him in our guild." A man with a brown pompadour hairstyle and a red 'no smoking' shirt said.

"Well? Who are you then?" E-Wendy asked, trying to get the conversation moving.

Alex turned to her and gave her a small smile. Among all of the Edolas counterparts, she stood out the most to him. The familiarity was still there, but between the personality and appearance, it was a striking contrast.

"My name is Alexander. I haven't been in fairytail long before all... This started. So I'm not surprised my counterpart isn't here." Alex replied. 'If he even exists that is, which I doubt very much.' he followed up in his head.

The group was brought out of their conversation when E-Elfman and E-Mira started talking with Mira and Lisanna. Mira was still hugging Lisanna like she was going to escape her again, constantly asking what was going on and how she got here.

Lisanna tried denying that she was from Earthland for only a short while until she saw the looks her Edolas siblings were giving her. She knew then that they had known from the beginning she wasn't their Lisanna.

Alex left them to their crying and catching up, stepping back outside to release Jet and Droy from their earthy coffins. They wanted to attack him, but he just ignored them, not caring at all about their angry words.

"Hey. We need to keep moving, the rest of the guild is in danger still." Alex said calmly, putting his hand on Mira's shoulder. He had given them some time to catch up and they even made some plans on what to do moving forward, but time was ticking down for the rest of the guild.

"Big sis, who is he?" Lisanna asked Mira. "This is Alex, He is my Boyfriend and partner. He is also the one who figured out you were from Earthland." Mira said, somehow confusing the girl more.

"How?" Lisanna asked perplexed. "That's easy." Alex butted in. "You have magic within your body, and the rest of these folks don't."

"But I haven't been able to use my magic since I got here. I didn't think ability type magic worked in Edolas." Lisanna said. Alex materialized an 'x-ball' and told her to eat it, she hesitated until Mira nodded to her.

After eating it, she instantly felt her magic again. She celebrated by using her take-over magic and transformed into a giant rabbit, startling her fellow guildmates and proving that she was in fact an Earthland Wizard.

The transformation started a big round of questioning from the rest of E-fairytail that seemed like it wasn't going to end soon, knowing Mira would most likely not leave Lisanna alone, Alex turned to her.

"If you want to stay and catch up with your sister I can come back for you later. But I need to find the others, we can't both stay here." He said calmly. He wasn't trying to be rude and had no judgment in his tone, simply wanting Mira to be happy but Also not wanting the rest of the guild to die.

His words brought Mira out of her reverie and her face began changing with conflicting emotions. She wanted to go with him, but didn't want to leave Lisanna. She also didn't want to force Lisanna to abandon her friends so soon after everyone found out she wasn't their Lisanna.

Seeing her face jumping around with different emotions, Alex couldn't help but chuckle lightly. Mira pouted at him and he leaned down to give her a quick kiss.

"Stay here and get everything sorted out. I will head into Louen and get Natsu and Wendy. We will return here to grab you two before heading to the capital. I can increase the seating on the Jet so we can get there faster to make up for the time." Alex said with a smile. Mira gave him a deep hug and kissed him again.

"Okay, but hurry back. We still need to go rescue the others, and I can't be too selfish." Mira said with a sheepish smile.

Alex chuckled lightly at her words before giving a mock serious 'Yes ma'am!' that made Mira roll her eyes at him. He transformed into his {Metamorphosis} for the shock and scare factor it would have on the Edolas wizards before leaping into the sky, causing the ground to shatter in his wake.

"Always the dramatic." Mira muttered lightly as she watched Alex disappear into the distance. Their conversation and actions had not gone unnoticed by the guild and it took until Alex was completely out of sight before someone worked up the courage to say anything.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?!" a terrified Droy asked. After having confronted Alex in the beginning, he was currently questioning his life choices.

"That was just take-over magic. He likes to scare people and I can do that too." Mira responded before momentarily transforming into her Satan soul. The shock factor was still there, but since they were expecting something close, they didn't get as scared.

"Mira!.. Stop scaring my friends." Lisanna said in an almost exhausted tone, she seemed to be reminiscing about the past, remembering how her sister would always try to antagonize people. Mira just chuckled happily before removing her transformation. Lisanna went about introducing Mira to everyone left in the guild and they were slowly coming out of their shells.

Alex flew quickly towards Louen, he had removed his full take-over as soon as he was out of sight of the guild. It didn't take him long to reach the town.

Looking at Louen from the sky was an interesting sight, the buildings were all made of stone and mud, but they looked crooked and bent. It seemed like a strong wind could blow all the buildings down, turning them back into sand.

The buildings also blended very well into the surrounding landscape, being almost the same color as the surrounding desert. Alex could smell Wendy and Carla very well now and made his way to the ground before entering town, he didn't want to draw too much attention to himself yet.

He knew there was a detachment of the Edolas Army stationed in town, and the longer they could avoid them the better. All his thoughts of avoiding the Military were wiped out of his head when he heard a big commotion a few blocks away. "Great." Alex sighed, making his way towards the disturbance.
