16 The first round

Two days have passed and I recovered all my mana. I was ready to fight I even learned a new healing spell. It's called healing droplet, it's a water spell and it can heal averything but the worse the wound the more mana it takes to heal.

The tournament was about to begin and two guards came up to me and gave me my equipment. I even got a short sword. After I was changed I entered the arena to go to the first round. A lot of people were watching the tournament and a lot of people were competing in it, it made me nerves.

"welcome to the annual tournament, this year we have over 200 contenders and we will be holding a free for all to get rid of the rookies, shall we begin!" the anouncer said.

The crowd was yelling in excitment.

"Then ill be explaining the rules of this free for all, the first rule you may not kill anybody or you will have to pay a fine of 5 platinum coins second rule is to try to keep the arena intact and the last rule is to have fun of course! I'll give a countdown and then you can start bashing in people's heads!" the anouncer said.

"3,2,1 AND GO!" the crowd and the anouncer said.

I didn't have time to proces what the anouncer said before I got atackt by a man. He was trying to hit me with a wooden pole, I doged his swing and I drew my sword. I'm not good at fighting with swords but doging his atacks were easy so I didn't want to waste my mana on him.

"Get away from me." I said.

"I will go away when your dead!" the man yelled.

"Then you leave me no choise" I said and right after that I swong my sword at him making a cut on his chest, it wasn't a deep cut but it did a good bit of dammage.

"AHHH!" the man yelled out in pain.

I didn't listen to his screaming and I swong my sword again, He collapsed right after the second swing.

Why was he competing, I defeated him easily while I'm the worse with a sword. He was to confident in his skills and that is what let to his downfall.

The round wasn't over so I knew that more people would attack and that is excactly what happened. Another guy attacked me. It was a swordsmen this time and I knew that I couldn't defeat him with only my swords so I shot a few ice shards at him and after the fourth one hit him he also collapsed.

After the swordsmen collapsed two fighters walked up to me.

"Hey let's kill this dude over here." the one who was holding two knifes said.

"Yeah let's kill him." the unarmed one said.

They both came for me after that, one using magic and the other using his knifes. it was hard to focus on two enemys at the same time so I backed off but they kept comming. The magic user kept shooting fire balls at me and I had to doge them while also holding the knife user off of me. It was hard so I decided to just use up a good chunk of my mana and I created a lot of ice shards and I shot them at the two guy's. They both tried to doge the ice shards, but I shot around 40 at them so they couldn't block all of them.

I couldn't fight much more enemys after that round so I decided to use water field to make the other fighters think that it's some kind of trap and it worked. all the fighters were scared to go in my water field so I didn't encounter any other enemy after that.

When the first round finally ended there were only 33 people left. I was so thankfull that it was over because I used a lot of mana to go trough that round. I decided to go to bed right after dinner so I could have enough mana for the next round.
