I opened my eyes, and there it was.

A furry, enormous green beast circling me, as if it was trying to shield me from something hazardous, his outstretched arms spread wide over me. My vision was still blurry and I still felt weak so I couldn't lean over to see who it was protecting me from.

But I then when his face came into vision, I easily recognised it by the snap of a finger.

Garfield Logan, commonly known as Beastboy from my superhero team Teen Titans, circling me to take cover for me. I tried to remember the previous events that had happened before I fell unconscious but to no avail. My thoughts were as frail as my physical body.

Abruptly, he jumped towards the unknown enemy. His teeth slashed the enemy's skin, ripping him (I assumed the enemy was male) to pieces. Blood spattered the cement ground, and I was struck with horror.

The enemy screamed to the top of his lungs, and I couldn't help but feel uneasy and concerned for the enemy. He was fighting against us, I knew for sure. But he was also dyingโ€”he was getting tortured by my friend! I couldn't let his life be at risk, and I couldn't let Beastboy get in trouble because of murder.

I still felt feeble, but I tried to stand on my feet, struggling as my legs felt like jelly. I ended up only falling on my knees and grabbed the beast's furry leg.

"Beastboy!" I shouted to gain his attention, but he still kept ripping the enemy to pieces.

"Gar!" Strangely, tears escaped my eyes as I shrieked his name; my throat felt like it was being stabbed by a bunch of needles, just by shouting twice.

Thankfully, he turned around and dropped the person to the ground. I wished I hadn't peeked, because I couldn't unsee it anymore. The person he attacked was dead.

I saw the enemy's face clearly for once and realized it was Adonis.

His dead body was splattered with blood, bruises, and scratch marks. His teeth were repulsively punched from his bloody mouth, and his hair looked like tangled seaweed.

I gaped at him in horror, almost forgetting my friend's presence, and then. . .

Everything went black.
