1 The day when everything begun : The black Dragon Warrior

PRESENT DAY

It's all over now there's nothing I can do, all I can do now is to wait and accept my fate I can never save this world I never could. Now it's all over this is the end.

BEFORE 3 YEARS

Today I am finally going to get graduated from my academy now I can be a full-fledged adult and I can join the ESF to get closer to my dream. Whoa, I just went too far for today I just want to confirm that I passed my tests. I could just walk through the town to my academy but I don't want to meet my friends on my way because things could get messier with a graduation party or something I am just not good with socializing. So I am going through the forest then I am going to sneak into the academy and come out silently. Ok, now I am out all I have to do is run towards the forest *huh* I am sensing something really bad I looked down and found Emily the most annoying, cold-hearted girl in my academy. I don't know much about her but I just don't like her because she is a lot like me and I don't like people like me.

[Hey, what are you staring at you can't look down on me just because you are taller than me. Now can you move out of my way I got things to do]

I could not reply to her words I just moved towards the side of the path she was heading towards the forest so I just followed her silently. Maybe I should try to talk to her *Nah* she's a loner she will never talk to another loner like me.

[What's your problem why are you following me?] She asked suddenly.

[I am not following you are the one in my way]

Words just came out of my mouth.

[Oh then you're telling me that I am your obstacle are you trying to pick a fight]

[No, No don't misunderstand I just want to go to our academy all I wanted was to check the results without getting in the eyes of my friends]

She became quiet after that and suddenly after we entered the forest she began talking to me.

[Hey why did you come to the swordsman academy even though it's not valuable now?]

She asked something that even I was thinking for myself. If I think of it I was the one who selected the swordsman academy even though my parents insisted me to go for the administration section. It was the war with the demons that made me take this decision. My grandparents and a first childhood friend were killed by a demon right in front of my eyes during the war. I was saved but they could not make it. This made me angry I wanted to kill every single demon out there but soon the 9 dragon warriors controlled the demons and they were sealed permanently in an alternate world guarded by the 9 dragon warriors. The ESF or the Elite Swordsmen Force and the Divine warriors along with the brave soldiers were the only ones who stood up against these demons. They were the guardians of this world so I decided to become a part of the ESF to save the people from further danger. Well that was what I decided when I was a kid but now the world is a lot safer but still I want to save people from all kinds of danger even if it meant saving humans from humans I will do it because I don't want to see people suffer like my parents or I don't want this world to create an outrageous boy like me again. But I don't want to tell her such a long story because it would be troublesome. So I finished it with a single sentence.

[Well you can say that I selected swordsman academy because my parents wanted me to do it]

[You are just blindfolded] she said.

[Oh then can you tell me your noble reason to join the swordsman academy]

I was really pissed by her answer well I can't expect more from the coolest girl in my class.

Suddenly she pulled out another question.

Well, who knows it is a tough question there are a lot of theories about it but I would say that something must've summoned them here because they just fell out of the sky when I was 2 years old and then they were sealed away when I was 6 years old. There are a lot of mysteries about our world that no one knows the answer like "What is the power source for the sealing technique and the 9 dragon warriors" - maybe magic *Nah* that's childish or "Is there something that's more powerful than humans in this world" – well there's a strong possibility because according to studies only 24.34% of the world is occupied by the humans and no one can get past that barrier because anyone who went to explore would never return. So we humans are destined to live on a small continent. Oh, it's my pensive mind again. I wanted to look smart this time so I decided to give a proper answer.

[If you would ask me there are a lot of theories about this like the theory of Mr.B.R.Raman it says that there were a lot of gamma radiations that night and the pressure built up …]

I kept on telling stuff for the next thirty minutes and we came to the academy.

[… This reaction collapsed time and space and opened up a cross-dimensional por ... ta ...]

[We have arrived] she stopped me abruptly.

[Hey let me finish my worlds]

*huh* that was what I was thinking maybe I should have gone with a straightforward approach.

We went inside the academy through the back gate. To my surprise, no one was there because it was only 6 a.m. I checked the results and I passed with the grades more than enough to apply for the ESF. I was really happy but I couldn't find Emily's name on the board I thought that she had failed.

[Ha ha you are all about talk then huh]

[Maybe you missed the board for the academy's top 3 you should get your eyes checked] She replied calmly.

I looked over to the top 3 board and her name was up there in the first spot. I sulked and tried to get out of the spot suddenly I spotted two Imps sitting on a branch and two guys who looked like they were possessed. My spine experienced chills my bad memories came back to me it all seemed so familiar. I started running back towards the academy I am just so confused right now all the stories that the humans believed were wrong. The demons started following me I kept on running to get a sword.

[Hey Emily get a sword there are demons chasing me]

I shouted to Emily. She was dumbstruck after seeing those demons and those possessed demons. I grabbed a sword and faced them but my hands were shivering I wasn't ready to face demons yet. They grabbed Emily. Emily regained consciousness.

[Throw me your sword] She shouted

It looked like she got past the barrier of fear. She cut the legs of the Imp and started to get into her fighting form I grabbed another sword and kept those possessed guys away. Suddenly I felt nauseous a guy with a waistcoat and with red eyes appeared for some reason he looked weak and diseased.

[Dad!] Emily screamed.

I was confused the guy began speaking in a rather deep and a terror's voice.

[I am Osiris one of the 15 demon generals I want a body now you humans are in my way]

He shoved me away and grabbed Emily's neck and opened his mouth it was just like before just like what happened to my family and my friend. Some kind of red smoke came out of Emily and went into that guy's mouth. I couldn't move but still, I did not want the same thing that has happened to my childhood friend to a friend a genius friend that I made just a few minutes ago. I picked up a sword I charged towards him he blasted me off with ease. I felt pain after a long time. Things were getting out of control Emily's life was being taken away I could not do anything. I was suffering from intense pain. Still, I got up suddenly I saw a guy with a black cape and a black and white katana. He sliced the possessed dudes. I felt intense pressure from him maybe it was his aura. He dashed past the Imps and went towards that old guy but the old guy quickly vanished and he came behind me but wait it wasn't the old man it was Emily. I was shocked her eyes were red her voice changed the katana dude went right past me and tried to slice her with intense speed but she blocked it easily.

[This body … it's young … strong … I like this body]She said.

Those guys sparred continuously I was heartbroken I felt that I lost another friend then Emily just pierced that guys heart and she vanished into nothingness and the katana dude was really serious. I ran towards him.

[I see the desperation in those eyes of yours but you can't save your friend she has become the host of the demon and you have seen something that you shouldn't have seen. It must be hard but you have the potential of a great warrior. I am sorry I could not save your friend.] He said.

[Hey I thought demons were sealed off from this world and why is it always me why should my friends always leave me in front of my eyes I am not giving up I will save Emily because I promised to myself that I would never let this incident happen again]

[It was not the demons it was us who were sealed from this world]He said.

[What are you talking about it doesn't make any sense. First, who the hell are you? You are seriously hurt I will call for help.]

[I am Kurogane one and only survivor of the 9 dragon warriors and don't call for help people might get hu … rt] He spilled blood out of his mouth.

[9 dragon warriors? What happened to the others I am so mad that my head is not in one piece so don't confuse me anymore]

[They all died trying to defend humanity from the 15 generals but they were too strong they are here for world domination and for a new body, now I am at the verge of my death and the barrier of humanity is weak. It's all over]

[Don't spout nonsense]

[It's not nonsense kid you wouldn't understand fighting over one life I am talking about the whole humanity]

[*hmph* if you can't even save one life then you can better forget about saving humanity]

After hearing my words he wept. I felt bad to talk in such a way but I was confused

He vanished into dust whispering that it was my job to gather the other 8 warriors and save humanity from the demons. I felt like a huge responsibility was given to me. I was desperate to fulfill it and avenge all the people that I lost.
