The manager said in a monotonous tone, " Lex you don't have to come to work from tomorrow, you'll be given the salary for the entire month as compensation, you can contact HR and settle things over there".
Lex couldn't believe his ears, he had slaved for that company for 2 years and he did a good job and now he was let go just like that?.
"Boss please don't do this to me. If it's about that video don't worry I'm going to apologie right now, you don't have to do this". Lex was begging this was all he could do.
The manager sighed, "Listen kid this is out of my hands, the higher ups ordered it there nothing more I can do".
Lex sounding desperate, "But-but I was drunk I didn't mean any of it".
" It's already done, the company has already issued a statement online, saying that you've been removed for not complying with our ethical standards by being insensitive towards the Whitmore case".
Lex was confused, "Whitmore sir? I don't even know who that is moreover I had never anything bad about them in the video".
The manager pitied Lex, " Listen kid, I shouldn't be telling you this so if it ever comes up I'm going to deny it.
This has nothing to do with the Whitmore case, the country head is a close friend of the current SPM, Joe Sawley,and he is a big donor to the Conservative party, he's the one who ordered you to be let go
That's not all, you've been blacklisted by every software company.

Lex slumped in the corner helplessly, his World came crashing down on him not knowing what to do he curled up and sat quietly.
Sue was flabbergasted with this scene came rushing to handle him, "Lex what happened?"
"They...they fired me Sue", Lex started sobbing
"Just for a video? You didn't do it on purpose Lex
Let me call him and explain the situation to him, I'm sure when he listens to the whole story he'll.."

Sue didn't have any words to say she hugged Lex and tried consoling him, "Don't worry Lex we won't let them get away with this. We'll take them to the courts if we have to".

After a while Lex got a hold of himself, "Sue tell me something what is this Whitmore case that everyone's talking about?".

She shook her head, "Ah you don't know Lex? It's been all over the news in the past month

"And the expressway 69 happened a week before, a few teenagers were going on a joy ride, and drinking, the driver lost control and rammed the car in front and that started a chain reaction the people behind couldn't react in time and there was a mass pileup numerous people were injured and many people died"
Lex was shocked he never paid attention to current events but these incidents were massive, how stupid and out of touch did he have to be to not even hear about them.
"Thats just horrible but it still doesn't give them the right to F up my life", Lex was seething in anger
Lex opened a bottle and chugged it dry, he took another bottle and did the same

Lex passed his cellphone to Sue to make the video.
"Good afternoon people, My name is Lex Vi Bannington, you people must have seen me rant today, i must state that i was in an inebriated state and i was just letting was some steam, and in that regard i want to publicly-"Lex became quite all of a sudden, Sue perked up her head from the screen looking at Lex in a doubtful manner
Lex resumed, "You know what, no i'm not sorry, i'm not sorry for calling Chubby Joe out, he brought it on himself. He a conservative for God sake, you people are supposed to protect our God given right of freedom.
Freedom to chose for our-self. And to the people who think i'm trampling on Maya,well thats just not true. I was just as horrified as you guys were when i found out. I sympathize with her mother i do, but that doesn't give the state the right to Prohibit a man's freedom to drink"
Lex took out an unopened bottle from under his bed and took a large sip.
"This is who i am, this bottle is a part of me, to deny me this is to deny me the right to live. So no Joe i don't care if you sue me, I will drink to the end and you cant do anything to stop me"
Sue stopped the recording and shook her head, "That was childish Lex, you should have just apologized and put this behind you. I swear Lex every time you drink its like you become another man"
Lex took another sip,"I know alright. I know i'm not behaving like an adult but goddammit they took two of my precious thing away, my booze and my job so why should i not let my frustrations out"
