3 Strange Beast

"Ugh..."

Su Fang groaned as he slowly started to regain consciousness. Every inch of his body felt as if it were being torn apart. The cold and rough surface below his soaked naked body only made matters worse, and every few moments, his body shivered due to the cold. Supporting himself with his arms, Su Fang slowly sat upright and looked around to get a hang of his surroundings and situation.

"Ah!"

Just when Su Fang turned his head to the right, something suddenly appeared in his vision and startled him, prompting him to almost shout and jump back. He was barely able to stop himself from running away. As he looked at the thing in front of him, his heartbeat started to rise and his eyes faintly trembled. In front of him was a fierce-looking strange beast with pitch black fur, blood red eyes, and long sharp white teeth that Su Fang believed were more than enough to rip him apart with a light graze.

Su Fang estimated that the strange beast was about two meters tall, and it stood about a meter away from him. With just a meter between them, Su Fang could feel the beast's breath hitting against his face. He was really grateful over the fact that it's breath didn't stink; it seemed the beast was quite hygienic. Su Fang didn't dare move, lest he make the beast pounce on him. He didn't know if his action of remaining still would work, but he had to at least try. So, he remained unmoving and started to size up the beast.

And at the moment, just like Su Fang was sizing up the strange beast in front of him, the strange beast was also sizing up the little 'beast' it had brought out of the nearby lake. It was quite curious to know about this new addition to the subjects of its territory. It had never seen something small like the one in front of it; the little 'beast' didn't have fur like the others, had weak-looking pathetic limbs without sharp claws, lacked any ferocious expression or the razor teeth needed to tear apart prey, and didn't have a tail either. Moreover, it appeared to be scared of its majestic appearance.

Since the little one in front of it fell into the water from the sky, it had thought that it would be one of those things that taunted it while staying far above and away from its reach, but it turned out to be something completely different. The 'beast' in front of it didn't resemble those things either as it lacked those feather flappers, and long razor pointed mouths that devoured the dead prey, or annoyed it by pecking it while it took a nap.

Since the 'beast' in front of it wasn't one of those annoying things, nor was it similar to those that it had seen before in life or lived in its territory, the strange pitch black beast turned curious. It wanted to know what this thing was, so it kept on staring at it while using its senses to scan and understand what it was made of.

After staring for what felt like half a day to Su Fang, the beast had already figured out most of the information about the little beast in front of it. And the conclusion it reached was simple: 'This thing was weak, just like a newborn baby beast. It was so pathetic that even eating it might sully its taste buds.'

Now that the pitch black beast had reached a conclusion, it turned around without giving any more glances to Su Fang, and started to walk away. Su Fang could see the beast was headed towards a cave opening visible in the nearby hill; he wondered if that big badass beast was a vegetarian. How would he know that the beast thought so lowly of him that it disdained to eat his pathetic flesh.

After the beast was gone for a while, Su Fang decided to stand up. Using his hands to support himself, Su Fang slowly stood up and looked around to see where he was. He found himself to be at the shore of a cool and clear lake. The surface of the lake reflected the beautifully shining crescent moon, and the river of brightly twinkling stars that adorned and brightened the dark sky, and his surroundings. The scene was so beautiful that it dazed Su Fang; he had never seen, or even heard of, such a beautiful sky full of stars in his previous life.

Su Fang stared at the reflection of the sky on the lake in a daze. It was a scene that seemed to have come directly out of a painting, and it made his heart calm. He had already come to terms with the fact that he was dead and in a new and dangerous world.

"First thing first, I need clothes and a place to sleep!"

Su Fang was more than aware of the fact that he was buck naked at the moment; it was good that the only one who got to see his naked majesty was a vegetarian beast, and there didn't seem to be anyone else around in the surroundings. And to make sure there was no chance for someone else to see him in his birthday suit, he decided to use the special ability he received from Tian Ke'er.

As soon as the thought to turn invisible appeared in his mind, his reflection on the lake vanished, together with the sound of his breathing. There was no trace left of him. Making sure that he was good to go, Su Fang started walking over to the cave that strange beast had entered. After all, he didn't dare go into that dark and eerie looking forest that surrounded the lake. Who knew if there would be some big and dangerous beast that unintentionally stomped him to death, or fell on top of him while he searched his way out of that forest?

That cave seemed to be a good place to sleep for the night. And since he was invisible, he wasn't worried about disturbing the beast into ripping him apart.

Slowly, Su Fang arrived before the cave. After hesitating for a moment whether he should go in or not, he decided to just go with the flow. After all, the cave wasn't sealed so it was free game. Raising his right foot, he stepped inside the wide open cave. And as soon as he entered the cave, he felt as if someone had wrapped him with a cozy blanket. It was too damn comfortable. That beast seemed to know how to live in luxury!

To make sure he wasn't hallucinating, Su Fang took a step back and exited the cave. Immediately, a chill went down his spine, making his entire body shiver due to the cold. He immediately rushed back into the cave, and the comfy and warm feeling embraced him again.

"Damn, this cave is simply magical. Even though the cave's mouth is wide open, the chilly wind doesn't make it inside the cave. That beast sure knows how to live a lavish life."

While speaking to himself, Su Fang made use of the unknown faint crimson light illuminating the cave and started to walk down the tunnel carved into the hill. But even after walking straight for half an hour, he didn't reach the end of the tunnel. He wondered just how deep this cave was; after all, the path didn't split throughout his journey. He could only sigh and keep walking. The only good thing was that the insides of the cave remained comfy as they were at the start, and the temprature didn't rise or fall.

After walking for a long hour, adding up the entire journey to one and a half hour, Su Fang saw a crimson light coming from ahead. Immediately, he thought that he had reached the end of the path, and would soon arrive at the destination. As for why he didn't just lay down somewhere in the cozy path, well, he was afraid that the strange beast would want to go out and might unintentionally crush him to death while he slept. After all, that beast's big paws and razor sharp claws weren't a joke. He had to find a place where the beast wouldn't step on him, and that would definitely be somewhere near the beast.

Although Su Fang wasn't afraid of dying since he knew he would just be sent to live a new life, there was still a chance he would end up in that same Hall of Judgement where he took advantage of that tigress. And with that tigress' temperament, she would certainly send him to some world that would be even more hellish than this one. If that happened, he would have nowhere to go and cry to. Moreover, he wasn't a fan of dying even if he knew he would be able to live.

Su Fang immediately increased his pace and after just walking for two more minutes, he was at his destination. He had finally exited the long tunnel, and arrived at that beast's den. But as soon as Su Fang looked at the scene inside, his eyes widened in surprise.

"What the fuck!"

The inside of the cave were magnificiently beautiful and splended. There were crystals of different colors protruding off the walls, ground, and the ceiling. Majority of the crystals were crimson, and released the crimson light that overwhelmed the light from the other crystals. There were violet, yellow, green, white, purple, pink, and even colors that Su Fang didn't know the names of. The scene was so overwhelmingly beautiful that Su Fang thought he could simply stay in this cozy and brightly lit place forever.

In the center of the cave was an elevated platform, to the right of the platform was a beautiful small pond around 5 meters in diameter, and to the left of the platform were a bunch of small beasts of different colors and features that made them somewhat resemble the strange beast Su Fang had first seen, seemingly its pups.

The little ones were very colorful and adorable, and their fluffy fur made Su Fang think that they would make great fluf pillows. The small pond, on the other hand, had a unique charm and beauty to itself. The water in the pond was of different colors just like the crystals illuminating the entire cave.

It was as if someone had taken liquid from different colored rivers, put them in the pond, and made an invisible barrier preventing the liquid of different colors from merging with each other. The liquid in the pond was still and clear, and it reflected the crystal-adorned ceiling of the cave.

The inside of the cave was nothing less than a magical fantasy place straight out of a painting. Everything was so calm and beautiful that Su Fang wanted to permanently settle in there. He thought that the strange beast sure knew how to choose a great and beautiful residence. It was just that...

It was just that, the beauty of the cave was ruined by the six beasts on that elevation in the center of the cave, as their obscene sounds and acts were free for all to hear and see. The entire cave was filled with the deep groans and growls of the beasts that seemed to not care about the beauty around them.

In the center of the cave, on the elevated part of the ground, were six strange beasts including the one Su Fang first saw. All the beasts seemed to be of different species, visible by their different features and colors. Their features and colors had a semblance to the little pups sleeping to the left of the elevated platform. Su Fang reckoned that they were the parents of the little pups.

From the obscene scene in front of him, Su Fang easily guessed that the strange beast he saw before was the daddy of the little pups, while the other five beasts in front of him were the mommies of those little pups. With how the strange black beast was humping one of the other strange beasts, and how the other four beasts had their butts raised in the air and waited for their turns, it didn't take a genius to figure this much out.

Faced with such a debaucherous situation, Su Fang couldn't help but curse them inwardly.

"Bastards, have you no shame left; there are small children in the vicinity!"

Su Fang's face twitched. It seemed that his idea of finding a place inside the beast's cave to have a nice sleep wasn't going to work. He wasn't a fan of watching strange beasts extending their lineage in a debaucherous way out in the open... alright, he agreed that they were doing it in their own place, and not out in the open, and that he was the one who intruded upon them, but still... there were small pups sleeping nearby.

Well, it wasn't like he could do anything or had a choice. He could either go sleep in a corner while listening to the low growls and groans of those beasts procreating on the platform, or return to where he came from. It didn't take long for Su Fang to make a choice: He was going to leave. There was no way he could sleep in a place like this.

"Seems like there's no way around it. I will just go and spend the night in the tunnel. Hopefully, none of those bigass beasts would come out for a few hours."

With the decision made, Su Fang moved his head to turn around. But just when his head moved a bit to the right, his eyes landed on something shiney. Su Fang immediately focused his gaze to see what it was, and what he saw was a crystal releasing light different from all other lights. It wasn't as vivid as the other lights, nor was it as bright, but it was still unique. It was unique in the sense that it changed colors. The light continuously flickered, and every flicker changed its color.

One moment it was purple, and the next moment it was green. Crimson followed green, and blue replaced crimson. It was like one of those color-changing LEDs he had previously seen.

To top it off, it wasn't embedded into the ground or walls like the other crystals. Instead, it was just placed to one side of the little pond as if an abandoned defective product.

Su Fang immediately made his way towards that crystal. It wasn't like those debaucherous beasts could see or hear him, and since he was here, he might as well take something as a souvenir. That crystal would be useful when he had to traverse somewhere dark.

Squatting down, Su Fang reached out his hands to pick up the unique crystal in front of him with a wide grin.

"Hehe... Come to daddy, baby!"
