15 Her Name

It's now sunday. After Jean's call with her friends yesterday, she said she needed to go home so I warped her back to the Adventurer's Guild. What was I doing right now? Well…. Nothing. I am doing absolutely nothing and it's killing me. I want to do something but that can't happen until I resolve this storm tomorrow. I sighed as I slouched on the couch. The girls were all still here, so I couldn't really go to bed.

"What to do…"

I could go visit Albedo, but then I realized I didn't know where he lived at all. I also considered Venti, but it's the same situation as Albedo. Ugh, I'll die of boredom at this point. That's when I realized something.

"Fischl, where's Oz?"

"Oh, do you want me to call him out?"

"Please do."

Fischl called out Oz. The purple raven appeared seemingly out of nowhere and quickly went over to me. Why did I want to call Oz out? It's very simple really. Oz is a being created from Fischl's Electro Vision. Meaning that Visions can create life. With this, I'll be able to create companions to help me with my commissions and other stuff.

I started with a very simple one. I was trying to copy Oz. After a few more minutes, I failed. I can't seem to grasp just what makes Oz who he is. Sure I was able to make the body, but that's it. I can only make a vessel with no consciousness. Maybe I should ask Albedo since he seems to be the logical type. Or I could just ask the Anemo Archon himself.

"Hah…"

Trying to make an Anemo lifeform was really tiring so I slouched once again on the couch. I was supposed to cook lunch, but Noelle insisted that she'll do it instead. Seriously, this girl. The storm wasn't getting worse and worse.

"Lunch is ready!"

Noelle announced that she was finished cooking so we all came to the kitchen to eat together. I took a seat at my usual spot, which is a seat facing the kitchen. We all ate together and chatted all the while. Noelle was good at this. Well, she is a maid so I guess this is a given.

While eating, Fischl's phone rang.

"Hello? Oh, hi Katheryne. Alright, I'll tell him."

Fischl looked at me with a hint of annoyance.

"You should seriously get a phone!" said Fischl.

"Yeah…"

I guess I should really buy a phone. Anyways, Fischl told me to go to the Adventurer's Guild again and this, she'll come with me. When I asked her why, she just said she was bored as well. I can't really argue with that. She wasn't really all that interactive with the other girls, maybe because she still wasn't used to talking normally.

Calling me so suddenly, I wonder what happened?

---

"Hello Traveler! We have a commission for you."

"Hi, what is it?"

"There have been reports that a Ruin Guard has been spotted near Windrise yesterday. We do not know how it got there, but it's better to get rid of it now before it hurts others. That is why we are tasking you to do this."

Wait, what? I've only been at this place for a few days and yet I'm already going to get a quest requested by the Adventurer's Guild themselves?!

"Wait a second! He can't do this alone, I'll come with him!" said Fischl.

True that. I didn't even know how to get to Windrise. This could also help me tomorrow so I could just warp us there. I agreed to take the commission even though I don't know how dangerous it is. Fischl called Mona and told her that we might miss dinner. Is it really that serious?

I teleported us to the gates and found out something. The storm only covered the whole city itself. What was with that? Did Dvalin really just target the city?

"Let's go then."

"Yes mein fraulein."

"Sure."

We walked for a bit until we came across a very big tree and a statue. It was another Anemo statue. Since my meeting with Venti was a few days off, I decided to test out the healing abilities of the statue right now.

I touched the statue and as soon as it finished its glow, I summoned my sword and made a cut on my palm.

"What are you doing?!" yelled Fischl. I could see her worrying.

"Don't worry…"

The statue healed the wound up in just a matter of seconds and I showed my palm to Fischl.

"See?"

"..."

Fischl was speechless at the sight of my now healed hand. I guess the statues normally don't do this. I sighed and just gestured to her to continue on inspecting.

"Oz, can you fly around to look for the Ruin Guard?"

"As you wish mein fraulein."

Oz flew to the skies and wandered around. I was now alone with Fischl. I was actually wondering about this for quite a while now.

"Fischl isn't your real name, isn't it?"

"?!"

I was right. I always thought that the name Fischl was way too out of place to be a normal name even in this world.

"...I'm sorry. I just don't use my real name that much."

"It's okay. I even used aliases in previous worlds since my name sounds too weird."

There was an awkward silence for a while before Fischl finally decided to speak up.

"...Amy. My name's Amy."

"I'm glad you trust me that much." I said with a smile.

A few minutes later, Oz came back and reported what he saw. He said that it was just a few ways off south. We walked to the direction Oz told us to and we saw it. It was a giant machine with one robotic eye in the middle, kinda like a cyclops in other worlds. I hope it also has the same weakness.

I summoned my sword and was about to rush at it when Amy(Yes, I'll call her that now.) stopped me.

"Physical attacks don't work on them. Also, please don't rush in without a plan."

When she said that, I came into a realization. She was right. Ever since I got this Elemental Power, I started to be more arrogant and not think before I fight. Let's take what she said to heart and think of a way to defeat this thing.
