12 Chapter 12

Evangeline's P.O.V

As Abram and his friend Sebestian left, Anna came into the main room with a huge smile displayed on her face and before I could even ask her what happened when me and the kids left. She skipped into my direction, pulling me into a tight hug, almost suffocating me.

"Well, I guess it went well right?" I asked whilst she squealed in happiness.

"Yes, it went very well, Eva. Thank goodness!" she replied, pulling away from the hug.

" I'm so happy. Finally, we would be able to buy them the things they have been asking for." She added as she looked at the kids with a soft and vulnerable expression plastered on her face. The kids here are really lucky to have Anna and her grandmother who genuinely care and loves them.

Time flew by and it was again time to go home which I kind of dread a little bit since father has been stuck up in his office and barely comes home just to take rest and the same with my mother, on her trip to Spain, visiting our relatives there that I barely knows because she never takes me with her.

She spends most of the time of the day there catching up with aunties and uncles, leaving me alone with nothing to do with the maids, which I'm really used to.

"Bye kids see you tomorrow!" I waved them goodbye as I climbed inside of the car.

" How was your day?" Ric asked as he drove but I was too tired to start a conversation with him so I just answered him short but kindly.

When I arrived at the house, as I expected I was all alone again which is really getting tiring and boring for me. How I wish I have friends to go out with.

After eating my dinner and freshening up, I laid on my bed replaying today's event, how Abram pecked my cheek just like he did on the night of the event. How his scent and fresh mint breath hovered around me.

I really want to get to know him better, I can tell that he's different and I shouldn't have judged him for being rude and mean when he's the one who's been helping to run the orphanage smoothly. That's why we shouldn't judge a book for it's cover, I guess.

Too busy with my own fantasy, I didn't even realize that my phone has been ringing for some time.

Picking up the phone from my night stand, an unknown number was flashing on the screen, making me wonder who it is.

Warily, I pressed the answer button, waiting for the person on the other line to speak up as I was paranoid to speak up as I didn't have any whom it might be.

"Hello Eva?" Abram's smooth yet deep voice greeted my ears, again making me almost jump in excitement.

No words came out of my mind as my slow brain was still processing everything in.

Abram Valentino, the billionaire is now on call with me. But how did he get my number though?

"Hello?" I answered with a soft voice trying not to scream out loud in excitement.

"So, you're still up for tomorrow right?" He questioned, making me think twice again.

This is my chance, I can just say no, forget about him and maintain my distance but deep down it's the opposite that I want. I want to go and be close with him and get to know each other.

I'm really confused but what's the harm of giving it a chance, after all, I got nothing to lose.

"Yeah" I replied without having any words to add.

"Ok then, so see you tomorrow. I'll send you the place we'll meet, ok?" He stated which I again agreed.

" See you tomorrow then, Evangeline" he added, making me smile at the thought of seeing him again.

"Ok see you tomorrow, Abram" I answered, ready to hang up but then I remembered how he got my number.

"Wait, umm where did you get my number?" I questioned him while he chuckled.

" I have my ways, Eva" he replied and cut the call, leaving me with hundreds of thoughts inside my head and butterflies in my stomach. I just hope I won't regret agreeing to this.

But little did I know, what I just threw myself into.
