1 Delgoma prologue
Peace. I once knew peace. This world was magical, it was full of life, and it was beautiful. When the wind blew there was a sent like none other. It smelled of primroses. The sent took me back and it was then I remembered. The war that was once fought throughout this world, but it has changed so drastically you couldn't believe the difference.
Energy was the main source of power for the people of this land. There were many clans that try to harvest control and understand the power of energy. There are different leaders and different ideologies when understanding energy, one of those is the monastery of the chimako ( chi-mah-ku) clan, as they specialize in the healing and manipulative properties of energy along side with their leader gretna. The capacity of the power he wielded was unknown but he was revered as a master. Everyone in the clan trusted him as if he was a father to them. He became a master at energy manipulation at the age of 12 and graduated from the clans school. Now he just meditates guarding the potential clansmen growing before his eyes. The chimako clan has the best reputation for compassionate healers.
Another clan has a far worse reputation the la-cu-ze is a clan that boasts freedom and the hunt for eternal life but has never been seen in a positive light by the people of the land. It is said that they have within their ranks energy hunters who started killing and harvesting peoples kin yin to power their leaders.
To explain the energy in this would I'll explain how they are used. Mages gather the energy from the air and filtrate it in a spot on their body they cherish the most, some use their brain, heart, or something more personal as they feel if they lost their magic they would have no reason to live. After filtering and purified the unusable excess is blown out through the breath as smoke(this doesn't harm them but it looks cool). The remaining energy that has been purified flows throughout the body ready to be used. Monks have the ability to draw energy directly through their body's and use their entire being as a filter as if it was another circulatory system such as blood. This takes longer than a mage but they have a much larger capacity compared to mages, instead of exhaling smoke to rid their impurities the manifest a pocket within their body to store and refine them into gems capable of varied use's. Finally is the kin, they have an attribute called kin yin. The yin responds to energy throughout the air and the ground. They do not need to or have the ability to absorb energy directly but the yin allows the kin to use energy directly from their surroundings by acting as the filter for them. Because they need not absorb it directly and have an easier time absorbing energy they are hunted the most. Besides these main 3 types there are many variants and it is only necessary to use one of the types for higher tier magic most average people can use energy enough to wash cloths and charge their phone but to become a disciple and enter a dungeon you have to master a type.
