A world was in desolate state after a war ended, with neither country gain any profit. Thus leading to collapse of government. Because of the war, many green plains, city and mountain destroyed. This cause the land barely usable.

Because of careless use of radiation related weapon, monster born. causing many place desolated of human. Of course and new thing.

Nevertheless, many multinational collapse giving a big chance for lower and medium company to rise up. One of them called Delivery Corporation, an alliance of guilds, clans, and company that was assigned to deliver items in dangerous world.

Because of that, the title was given to them who fought monster, [Delivery Man].

To fight the radiation, an organisation called [Exceed] was created with the focus on creating a machine to cover a city which using a generator which made from an element [Cryst]. This made a cities which then renamed based on crystal such as Ruby, Diamond and Lapis.

"This is bull****! why should I join civil worker or become a office worker!? That is boring! Low pay dirt! They are nothing but parasite! They reject me!"

"You're the eldest brother! You should show them a good example!"

"Why should I care about them?! They are better than me!"

"Get out! You're not my child anymore, GET OUT!"

The door was kicked open as a young man walked out with his bags. His red eyes glaring at his back, toward his father, and quiet mother. His face contorted in betrayal when see his own mother didn't even utter a word to him. He knew that he is nothing, a freeloader, after a year didn't work after ended his college. The job he got didn't provide of money. And the work hour is harsh.

"Do I look like I care!? I can even live with just this much!"

The young man spit on ground before went out without looking at increasingly angry father and pained mother.

"That Insolent son. Even if you dead I won't claim your body!"

Walking aimlessly in the city full of people, the young man stopped in front of a building. By no mean that the building big nor luxury-like. But the signboard on it attract his attention.

[Delivery Man Opal Branch]

The young man stood staring at the signboard before look at his bag then at the counter inside shown by transparent door. A young woman was attending a man with a jacket and a box with word [DM]. But that sight was nothing compare to corpse of monster by his side. a centipede about 2 meters, laid on ground for someone to see.

His face turned pale, he heard that Deliver Man had the highest death rate compared to a Special Ops soldier which unnerved him even more. While he was in daze, he bumped aside.

He turned his head to see a man with scar on his face. The scarred man looked at the young man before glaring.

"What are you looking at?"

By sheer glare alone made the young man took a step back and lower his head, uttering 'sorry'. The scarred man hmphed arrogantly before went inside. the building waiting for the earlier man to settle his work.

The young man was scared but his face turned in anger because of that embarrassment. His head then remembered how he was thrown away from his family.

"Then so be it then. I'll start to become Deliver Man!"

He went inside.

"Yes, how can I help you?"

The young man was surprised by the receptionist tone, it was pleasant.

"I-I want to work as Deliver Man, miss."

The receptionist lady was in turmoil when heard it. She looked at the young man, he was neither skinny nor fat, but his stomach was front which indicated that this young man is not having active lifestyle. His haggard face and outfit which consist of t-shirt and trackshoot didn't help him in improve her impression. which made her conclude,

'This guy is useless.'

Of course, as the senior receptionist, she would not show her disdain in people wanting to take the job considering this is a very dangerous job. Delivery Man job didn't provide any insurance to the job except a place to stay, training grounds, and some other thing.

"Mr... I suggest that you should reconsider that."

"Please, I need to get a job."

"Working as civil officer or corporate worker also suitable with you."

"They didn't accept me... Please let me become a Deliver Man!"

The man lowered his body. He knew what he did was akin to suicide but the higher risk higher reward. That was that could be conclude with jobs like Delivery Man.

"Mr... Please don't make-"

"Isn't fine if he want to bet his life on this job?"

The receptionist turned her head toward a man behind the young man.

"Mr Albert, this..."

An old man which the young man saw earlier was smiling. His weathered face with beard didn't cover his past as handsome man.

"I'll teach this young man how to become Delivery Man."

The receptionist gave up. She then look at the young man who still bowing to her. She coughed before replied to him.

"Sure, client. could you please give your name?"

The young man raised his body before replied, with happy expression

"My name is Edward Crow."

-Training Ground-

Edward stood facing Albert whose still scrutinising him from up to below for many times. Edward stood nervously waiting for the old man assessment. The old man closed his eyes for a moment before open his eyes.

"You need to train."

Thus, Albert ordered him Edward to run around track which 500 meters length for twenty times. Edward could only followed the old man order. As soon Edward finished his tenth round, he crumpled to ground not moving anymore.

The old man was dumbfounded by this young man.

He shook his head as he sighed before taking out a cigarette before lighting up. He took a puff. then second, before glancing at Edward whether he is alive or not.

"This gonna take a lot while before he can become Delivery Man."

Other people also laughed at Edward because of how weak he is after just done half the first routine to become Delivery Man. The victim was knocked out from sudden exercise after long time in his room.
