Goodbye Old World, Greetings New World! (1)

Whoosh!

The blade of a knife slashed forward, wielded by a young man containing the intent to kill the person before him. The wind slightly broke before the knife lodged itself deep into the shoulder of it's target.

Crimson-red blood oozed from the new wound, dripping down the ripped navy blue high-school uniform. The cheap cotton from within burst out on both sides, immediately being dyed in blood.

"Agh!" The voice of another young man erupted, piercing the ears of his enemy as his eyes gradually grew bloodshot. He gritted his slightly yellow teeth in pain before backing away whilst grasping his bleeding shoulder.

Bone-chilling, insanity-inducing silence filled the room around the two men as they stared each other in the eyes. One pair of eyes held an indescribable and terrifying coldness that could freeze the person before him, while the other pair of bloodshot eyes contained a swelling sense of fear and anger.

"Jason, why are you doing this? We've been friends before all this started and now you just decide to throw our relationship away for some cheap girl?" Words hastily escaped his mouth as he tried his best to reason with the convicted murderer before him.

He and Jason were long-time friends and were nearly the same age. Jason may have had an odd personality, but that was all there was to it so he didn't mind. But when Jason killed someone, he was devastated.

Not for the victim, but for Jason. He was sentenced to attend Delinquent Highschool in court until he reached the age of 22. He didn't want such a fate to befall Jason, but he was powerless and his only option was to watch Jason go off.

But that was until a military officer visited his home and offered him the option of joining Jason in Delinquent Highschool. It may have sounded terrible to others, but he immediately agreed to the offer and attended Delinquent Highschool alongside Jason.

Little did he know he'd be backstabbed by the friend he threw his entire life away for just because of some random girl Jason met at the high-school. He was in utter disbelief and wished everything was all a bad dream, though unfortunately it was reality.

"James, you're trying to reason with me after what you've done? You tried to **** Jessica and expect us to still be friends?! You... You die today." Jason's voice contained a malevolent chill at the end.

James's pupils contracted in fear and shock as he watched his friend attack him again. He couldn't believe the words that had just come out of Jason's mouth.

**** Jessica?

Who IS Jessica?

Is that the girl he's been talking to recently?

I knew she was no good the day I saw her!

James's eyes shined brightly with a sudden hatred for 'Jessica', the one who took his friend away and even manipulated him! He wanted to explain to Jason that there was a severe misunderstanding, but his heart shattered when he felt the blade sink into his neck.

Dark red blood sprayed everywhere like the sprinkler in someone's yard. James choked on his own blood with a crestfallen expression as his gaze focused on Jason. His eyes were filled with regret, hatred, and immense sadness...

"James, I told you to keep your hands to yourself! Now look at you, dead!" Jason's expression was one filled with scorn and disappointment as he watched his only friend's body fall lifelessly to the ground. The floor was quickly covered in a dense puddle of blood and hundreds of footsteps could be heard coming towards the cafeteria.

"Hmph." Jason lightly grunted as he dropped his knife and raised his hands in the air. Cops swarmed the area, quickly arresting Jason without even thinking about the situation that occurred.

They already knew that Jason was extremely volatile and unstable, on top of his infatuation with Jessica it was practically expected of him to slip up and do something like this sooner or later. Jason was busy looking for Jessica in the crowd, but to his surprise she was nowhere to be found.

His expression immediately turned dark as he realized what happened.

He was played!

Whoever that Jessica girl was, she was a master manipulator! Even the cops and other military officers knew this, which was why they'd prepare to arrest anyone who interacted with her before. It was almost guaranteed that after their first interaction, the unlucky fellow would never be able to get enough.

Eventually, they'd end up like Jason, most likely being put on death row for killing someone all because of their 'love' for Jessica. The officers had seen these situations many times over and naturally grew accustomed to it.

"Sigh... Horrible. Despite having numerous personnel surrounding her at all times, she still manages to fool these students like this. If she keeps up, she might really be accepted into the government because of her manipulation skills." One of the officers said.

They sighed depressingly as they carried James's body away with the assistance of another officer. Just because they were accustomed to such events didn't mean they were fond of them.

"Alright buddy, come on. You, Jason, are under arrest for the murder of 15-year-old James Brownson and will be given your sentence in court. Anything you say or do may or may not be used against you in court."

Such an event was the norm in this school. Anyone outside the school would most definitely advocate against such a place and it's way of life.

Atleast, people would've care that much before the end of the world came. The rules had been changed and now the average man would care less about the second person begging for help around the corner. It was kill, pillage, and survive or be killed.

"Sigh, another one dead. I wonder when all this madness will end. Maybe when there are no more criminals? But who knows the reason why someone was labeled a criminal or became one? Criminals come from various diverse backgrounds, just like ordinary people. It's just that we do things unacceptable to the modern society so it's deemed wrong and detestable. Such is the life of a criminal after all..."

Tamade Koushin, a 16-year-old young man sighed as he observed the tragic seen. He turned 16 this year, which meant he was of the age to be sent to modern prison for adults. He wasn't allowed to slip up even once or it was all over for him. Again.

He slowly walked back to his dorm. His dark teal-blue colored hair fluttered across his sour green eyes that contained an indifferent expression.

The first chapter of many... maybe... hopefully ;-;
