4 Chapter 4

Stepping out of the cave, Bailong pushed his speed to the limit to see how fast he could move after reaching the peak of Body Tempering Stage according to a dragon. Rushing past the trees through the mountain Bailong discovered that his speed almost doubled to what he could previously achieve.

If before he was able to cover the distance from Tianhu City to the Beast mountain in the span of a few hours, Bailong now only needed two hours to reach the mountain at his maximum speed.

Leaving the cave behind him, Bailong left the inner region of the Beast mountain and came to the outer region so that he could test his strength on the Savage Beasts living in the outer region.

The Beast Mountain near Tianhu City was dicided into two major regions. The inner region was the place where the cave was present, and in the inner region all the savage beasts were of at least rank 3. Similarly the outer region of the mountain was filled with beasts of rank 2 and below.

Savage Beasts similar to cultivators had different levels of strength which was measured by their rank. Similar to cultivators, Savage Beasts were divided into a total of 9 ranks, a Rank 1 Savage Beast could be comparable to human cultivator on the Profound Continent who reached the peak of Body Tempering Realm. However no human on the Profound Continent would be stupid enough to try and take on a Rank 1 Savage Beasts alone because it was publicly known that unless 5 or more cultivators at the peak of Body Tempering Realm attacked a Rank 1 beast, all that would await them was death.

This was because unlike humans who were born with frail bodies, Savage Beasts were born with robust physiques and even a Rank 1 beast was capable of storing Qi inside them through the beast core which they were born with. Due to this even regular rank 1 beasts were capable of using Qi, thus needing multiple human cultivators of the same realm to fight them.

Soon Bailong reached the location he set out for. The area where Bailong arrived at was a place which he frequently came to even before he reached the peak of Body Tempering Realm. The area was the place where Silverback Apes lived at.

Silverback Apes lived in groups and till date the highest known cultivation of those beasts in the Profound Continent was High level rank 4. However there were only between rank 1 and 2 within the Beast mountain.

Since a long time Bailong would frequently visit the place and test out how strong his body was against those 3 meter tall humongous apes. In the beginning he would frequently be injured even when the opponent was a single low level rank 1 ape. But with time he was capable of holding his own against a single high level rank 1 ape.

And now that he reached the peak of what a Dragon could achieve in the Body Tempering Realm, Bailong wanted to test out if his strength was enough to confront the king of the group. The 4 meter tall, low Level rank 2 Silverback Ape who once injured Bailong with a simple wave of its hand.

Walking closer to where the Silverback Apes lived, Bailong unlike with how the other beasts treated him was stared at by many Apes with unhidden killing intent direct towards him. This was natural considering how many apes he killed in all the years he came here. Our of the group which had more than a few hundred apes, Bailong himself killed at least a hundred of them causing unsolvable hatred bwteen the two of them.

However despite the unsolvable hatred the Silverback Apes felt towards Bailong none of them took the initiative to attack him in their own, because they all knew just how strong he was. In the most recent raid Bailong launched in the Silverback Apes, he had fought against their leader and retreated safely with not too extensive injuries, with just this the normal Apes didn't dare fight him themselves and waited for their group's leader to come and fight him.

But still not all Apes could control themselves, one of those such Apes immediately lost control after seeing Bailong. Roaring with anger and bloodshot red eyes the Ape jumped down from the tree it was on top of and began rushing towards Bailong who was walking calmly with hands behind his back.

"Trash like you who don't know your place end up dying sooner."
