3 Chapter 3

After sitting that close to the mysterious red and blue material, Bailong was bombarded with huge amount of heat. Since he was underwater, Bailong would've needed to step out of the pool once in a while to replenish his breath, but mysteriously along with the flow of the water which was entering and exiting his body through the numerous pores, Bailong's oxygen was being replenished on its own.

As the hot water passed through the pores on his body, Bailong's body which was bearing huge amounts of pain due to the hot water began slowly adapting to the heat while the water was tempering his muscles, bones, and internal organs.

Every time the hot water which entered his body flowed past his bones, internal organs, meridians, muscles and skin, they would absorb parts of the hot water and soon let out water. However the water which came out of Bailong's body was no longer clear in color or hot, but was slightly murky and had no traces of any heat.

This was because once the hot water entered Bailong's body, the water was used to cleanse him of as many impurities as possible and at the same time the heat was absorbed by his body. Thus, the water which finally came out was both filled with impurities and completely cold.

"Today's the final day right?"

In response to the curious question from Xiulan, Bailong who was gritting his teeth to keep himself from screaming due to the pain, immediately put on a brave face as if the heat didn't affect him at all.

"Yes. Soon my body will reach the highest possible level of Body Tempering which anyone can achieve in the whole world. Hahahaha, I had to spend a total of 5 years to train my body to such a high level, I wonder how many times stronger I would be once I enter the Qi Points Opening realm. "

Just like Bailong said, he had already reached the peak of what a human could temper his body to when he was 8 years old, however soon after he reached the peak of Body Tempering realm Bailong had a faithful encounter which completely changed his life.

It was also due to this encounter that Bailong had spent the past 5 years further refining his body and not breaking into the Qi Points Opening Realm, causing him to be known as a fallen genius who would never be able to become any stronger.

"Sigh... If only you had better resources then you definitely wouldn't have had to spend such a long time in the Body Tempering Stage. But don't worry, once you enter the Qi Points Opening stage with the help I'll provide you coupled with your talent, you wouldn't even need half the time as other on this continent need to enter the Meridian Expanding Stage."

What Xiulan said was indeed true, if Bailong truly had the same resources as the children of the high level families on the Profound Continent, adding on his talent it wouldn't have taken more than a year to have reached the stage which took him a total of 5 years. However fate wasn't always bad, because unlike in the Body Tempering Stage where Bailong could only rely on himself and certain resources to temper his body, once he entered the next stage, Bailong would have the help of Xiulan with which not even the most prominent family on the continent could contend with.

After all Xiulan wasn't someone who belonged to this continent, and came from somewhere else. So taking her help, would definitely let Bailong make up for all the 5 years he spent on tempering his body due to lack of resources.

"I can't wait to see how much of a help you truly will be Xiulan."

With that said Bailong no longer spoke to her and completely concentrated on tempering his body. By now all of his body had gotten rid of all the impurities possible through the hot water, and similarly his body had also reached the peak of what the hot water could temper anymore.

Understanding this fact, Bailong let out a small grunt and immediately flexed his whole body which constricted in one direct motion before it went back to its original state along with a crisp sound of a soft dragons roar.

Hearing this dragon roar a huge smile appeared on Bailong face which was no longer contracted in pain, "I DID IT!!!"

Eager to test how strong his body had become with the reaching the peak of Body Tempering Realm through the Primordial Yang Dragon Body Tempering Technique, Bailong loudly roared and jumped out of the pool.

Still in the air Bailong immediately put on a new set of clothes which he removed from his spatial ring and ran outside the cave to test his new found strength.
