Default Mode : Struggle and Panic

Superstitious Isabella and level headed Rosaline no longer know how many times they have placed their lives in danger- literally and metaphorically, since they met. Now, after surviving four years of being in what they called a struggle and panic default mode, they are finally convinced their string of inconveniences, bad luck, and always being in dangerous circumstances, will come to an end. Unfortunately, they are (still) not so lucky when they meet Erin, a mysterious boy with sharp teeth and gold nails, who saves their lives after their post-graduation trip proves that their friendship is ultimately fortified by the struggles they go through. Ultimately put to the test, their friendship will either come out stronger- or end, after creatures they read about in mythology and folklore welcome them into their world. Set in the Philippines; go on an adventure with two best friends as they travel and fight dragons that eat moons because it refused to love it back, people who shape shift into night creatures that eat children, and even handsome faeries who eat humans for fun- if you piss them off.
