5 Chapter 5

"𝖧𝖾𝗒 𝖩𝗂𝖺 𝗐𝖺𝗇𝗍 𝗍𝗈 𝗀𝖾𝗍 𝖺 𝖽𝗋𝗂𝗇𝗄?" Edward types but then erases as he struggles with a way to ask her out on a date.

"Jia how about some hanging out like buddies we are" Edward realizes how cringey it sounds and immediately deletes it. He ends up giving up and plops back into his bed and lets out a deep sigh.

"Why does she make me nervous?" Edward asks himself as he rubs his forehead.

*ding*

"Hey you wanna get lunch?" Chloe messages.

"Fuck" Edward mumbles as he quickly messages back.

Edward proceeds to get ready and meet Chloe at Olive Garden.

"Thought you would come...I wanted to talk about something" Chloe says nervously as she rubs her hands together. Edward takes a seat as he gestures her to continue.

"I miss you....we shared so many memories I can't forget you." Chloe says as she reaches for his hand. "Chloe...i'm sorry but you cheated on me after the whole Jia situation." Edward says sadly as he flinches as her touch reminds him of the passionate nights they had together.

"I'm sorry Eddie...I promise I will be better" Chloe says as she rubs her leg on his leg.

"Chloe I don't know..." Edward says before getting up to leave "I'll pay" he says as he begins to walk out suddenly Chloe comes from behind him and pulls him into a kiss. Edward slowly pushes her away as she gives him a sweet smile.

"Chloe what the hell?" Edward asks as she continues to give him a smile.

"I miss you. I miss your lips on mine and the way you say my name. I just miss our nights together" Chloe says giving him a seductive look.

"You miss us having sex? that's it?" Edward scoffs "What did you like about me when we dated?" Edward asks.

"You were really kind to me..." Chloe trails off then looks down.

"I was kind to you? that's it?" Edward then rolls his eyes and proceeds to walk away.

*Ding Dong*

*Ding Dong*

"Hey what's up?" Jia asks as she answers the door.

"I really need someone to talk too" he says before pulling her into a tight hug.

"Yeah sure what's wrong?" Jia says as she wraps her arms around him to comfort him.

"It's Chloe"

"Oh god what did that whore do now?" Noe says as he walks down the stairs.

"I don't think she ever loved me..when I asked what did she like about me all she said was that I'm kind." Edward says as he walks over to the couch and slumps in.

"Kind? just kind?" Jia asks as she goes over to sit by him.

"yeah basically" Edward says as he puts a pillow on Jia's lap and lays on it.

"That's basic as fuck" Noe says as he walks in with tea he made "drink this it'll help you feel better" Noe gestures to the drink.

"I'm already feeling better" Edward says as he looks at Jia and gives her a wink. "I'll push you off" Jia says as she takes a sip of her tea. "When are we going to Shanghai?" Edward then asks as he also decides to take a sip of his tea.

"Friday night at 7pm" Jia responds.

"Can I sit by you" Edward asks sweetly

"sure" Jia says as she gives Edward a wink which makes his heart flutter.

"But Aiden and Anna will be joining us also" Jia adds on.

"Hahaha fair enough" Edward says.

"Well it's late imma take a shower and then head to bed i'm guessing you are staying the night?" Jia says as she walks up her stairs.

"I'm allowed?" he asks

"If you want you know where the guest bedroom is" Jia asks as she then disappears upstairs to the shower.

"You really like her don't you?" Noe says as he walks over.

"Yeah but i'm sure she thinks i'm kidding around" Edward says.

"Then prove to her you aren't. You do know you are gonna face a challenge in Shanghai..." Noe says.

"What do you mean?" Edward asks as he pays close attention.

"Jun Kim will be there." Noe says

"Oh Jia's crush" Edward says sadly.

"You have a chance but you gotta be committed because remember she is a Zhang" Noe says as he prepares to leave.

"Where you going?" Edward says raising an eyebrow.

"Meeting a friend...take care" Noe says waving before walking out leaving Jia and Edward in the house alone.

Edward decided to also get dressed for bed as he walks into his designated guest room where he left his clothes from last time.

"Maybe I should be shirtless" Edward thought to himself while in the shower of thinking of ways to impress Jia Zhang.

Edward walks out with shorts on as he decided to visit Jia's room.

*knock knock*

"come in" Jia says as she lays in her round chair comfortably with a blanket as she's reading a book.

"What are you reading?" Edward asks as he plops on the floor laying his head against her knee.

"Poems.." she says pushing her glasses up.

"nice" Edward says awkwardly.

"Here" Jia says before walking over to the other couch in her room and pats on the space next to her for him to sit.

"Wow now you want me?" Edward teases.

Jia rolls her eyes as she then continues reading her book.

Jia has always been into reading poems and many romance stories. It helped her cope with her loneliness as she's always been homeschooled.

Edward decides to sit next to her as the two share a blanket.

"Here how I read them to you" Edward suggests grabbing the book from her.

"Okay sure" Jia agrees as she leans against the couches headrest.

As Edward began to read he noticed that Jia fell asleep he stops and removes her glasses and gently placed them on the end table. He then carries Jia to her bed as he can feel her warmth. Edward gently lays her down and tucks her in he sits on her bed admiring her sleeping face as he wishes he could kiss her. Edward sighs before leaving Jia's room and walks into his room.

He's been in love with this girl since they met but he's also still in love with Chloe and he can't easily let her go no matter how much she hurts him.
