19 Church of Holy Saint (Part III)

"Dangerous?"

Runa said so as she tried to maintain her calmness, sweat was running on her forehead because of the dire situation. With this, she was sure there's no way she could live inside the kingdom anymore, she need a plan to escape from this kingdom. She realized this won't be easy, and after this Shizuku for sure will got dragged into the trouble, because she was the most close person to her.

But at least they wouldn't hurt Shizuku because they still need the heroes for their plan. And it seemed like the church side didn't want to get on bad terms with the heroes, especially turning the heroes as an enemy. Though Runa have no proof, she has that kind of hunch.

At first, her plan was to observe the church from inside the kingdom. But, because they have found her, there's a need for her to change the plan.

"Yes." Deu paused for a moment, "Despite not being a hero, you still appeared from the magic circle to summon the heroes."

"Well, a mad god sent me, and then the mad god selfishly give me 2 decision."

"Hoo, mad god 'huh. And the decision?"

"He gave me the fate of this world."

Hearing so, Deu couldn't maintain his blank face. His face showed a sign of a curious one.

"... Fate, you said?"

"Yes, the damn mad god told me to save or destroy the world."

"Nonsense, our god wouldn't abandon us. That's why our god summon you here."

"The act of you guys trying to took control of the hero are the cause. maybe?"

At this point, Deu face weren't calm at all. His eyes are opened wide as his body went stiff.

"That is.." Deu paused as he close his eyes and took a deep breath. "A lie right?"

"I didn't lie though."

"Yes, I couldn't sense any falsehood from you. That means you're lying but at the same time you are not lying."

"What are you trying to say?"

"The god you're talking about just now was not our god from the beginning."

But Runa already expect this because she was the only one who have the ability other than their own weapon class. What's more was her cheat-like ability projection, if she could optimize the skill to its full capability, let alone making skill, artifact, or something like that, she could even create her own world and rule over it.

"... I see. Then that means the god that sent me here are way more powerful than your god?" Runa paused for a moment, "I mean he could even interfere with your god summoning magic."

Feeling there's no need to keep her courteous attitude toward Deu, she went all out to provoke Deu anger. Against people who usually fight with a calm attitude, it's best to make them angry so they couldn't think properly. And not that long, the fish take the bait.

"Such an insolence! You heretic!"

When his god being insulted, the composure on Deu are all gone. His face are full of vein because of his anger towards Runa. Next, he looked at the green-haired girl and give his order.

"Kill her! Kill her at all cost!"

"Yes."

Runa smiled when she looked at the expression that Deu displayed. She raises her face to make an eye contact with Deu and said,

"Hey, do you think such small fries can stop me?"

After she said so, Runa released her deep black Aura that resemble the shadow manipulation. The aura omitted are way bigger than that Arata omitted just now. But, responding to that, Arata omitted his light too, the shadow and the light bump to each other and making their own territory. For a moment the light and shadow met each other they turned into a circle that resemble yin and yang.

"Hey Arata, isn't it tragic? The light was controlled by the darkness."

"..."

Runa tried to talk to Arata but there was no respond. Arata kept his blank face while looking at Runa as nothing but an enemy. On other hand, Runa's thinking about the probability to get rid of the soul bind.

(Can I do something with my projection?)

She thought so because according to the green-haired girl, the spell that was called Bind soul on Arata are still on the process of optimizing. That mean it's not perfect yet, so she'd like to do something.

She did this not because of her sense of justice, it's because Shizuku will be sad if she noticed that her childhood friend are being controlled by someone else.

Runa just remembering all her memory with Arata. There was nothing good inside, to be honest she doesn't care about Arata at all. If it wasn't for Shizuku, she would leave the church already and make her escape. Though she doesn't care about Arata, she still feels sorry for him, who would've thought the brightest person at the hero's party are the one that have the darkest heart. This made her looked at Arata with sympathic eyes.

"... D-on."

"Mm?"

Runa, Deu and the green-haired girl noticed that Arata's trying to say something. Judging from the expression of the green-haired girl, it seems like she was still on the process of optimizing Arata memories and his talk pattern.

"... DON'T LOOK AT ME WITH THOSE EYES."

Arata yelled, it was loud enough until it echoed inside the broad church hall. After that, his aura grow even bigger. Runa realized that her situation got even worse, seems like she makes Arata mad even though she doesn't intend to do so.

"Th-this is a masterpiece." The green-haired girl said so with her face filled with a vicious smile "I've never seen this kind of phenomenon. Little girl, I give you my gratitude. Thanks to you I've got to see something interesting."

"Who are you calling little girl? Call me Haruna-sama like you always do."

Runa jokingly said so while looking at her maid. The maid took the joke as she lightly laughs while facing Runa.

"fufufu, as expected you are interesting. To think his dark emotion against you was this big, Haruna-sama... It made me want to play with you so much." She laughs in a wicked way and look toward Arata, "Capture her alive, my obedient servant, Arata."

Arata nodded, and he got himself to his stance, with both of his hand right in front of his chest. Not bringing his Holy spear, he fought with his bare hand. Enhanced by Highspeed Movement, he prepared himself to attack while readied his fist but,

"Oi, I told you t--"

It was Deu who was stopped by something before he can finish his line. He was stopped because her tongue are falling and dropped to the ground. The person himself doesn't realize of what happen to his own tongue, but he was wondering why can't he speak properly. Until,

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!"

He noticed that his tongue was lying on the ground. At that moment, his brain proceeding the pain from losing the tongue. Blood keep pouring out from his mouth as he shrieks.

"You spoke too much. Since I found something more interesting, I don't need you anymore."

The green-haired girl said so as she wipes her nail finger with a handkerchief. As if she touched something dirty she kept on wiping for a while and throw away the handkerchief.

"O-ouuuuu!!!" (You!!)

Deu cursed the girl with his erratic word while staring keenly at the girl, it was so keen it might make normal people scared from the stare alone. But unfortunately, the opponent was called the Dark Great Mage, she doesn't even react.

"What's with that eyes, insect shouldn't look at the great human like that."

The girl said so while raising her chin, she looked down at Deu as if she looked at insect. And next, Bump! Deu fell to the ground, the girl kick Deu body,

"Already dead? such an intrusive person." After confirming Deu's state, she looked at Arata and ask "What are you waiting for? Capture her, Arata."

"Yes." Arata answered the order obediently.

"Oh, the optimizing's done. I didn't even notice it because of this insect."

Arata still sharply stare at Runa even now, this made Runa couldn't take her eyes off from Arata and missed the gore scene before her. Because Arata doesn't have any weapon, Runa think it was better for her to keep distance and relying on her skill and magic. Arata started to rush in high-speed toward Runa.

"To think that you are the the devil race spy."

Arata said so when he swung his fist. Runa dodged it with minimal movement and showed a troubled expression after hearing what Arata said.

"Ha?"

Arata keep swinging his fist few times, but Runa dodged it all and then she jump back to take some distance, because of Arata talk she doesn't have the time to activate her skill.

"I've always thought there was something weird with you."

"..."

Runa doesn't respond, instead she secretly activates her electro manipulation skill and her shadow manipulate skill. Next, she manipulates iron sand while controlling the surrounding shadow.

"The reason you keep your distance from us are because you're scared that we might know your secret."

"Ha? Just what are you saying?"

Couldn't understand what Arata is saying, Runa sighed. For her, Arata are just throwing a tantrum like a child.

"Now that I know your evil plan, I can't just let you escape."

"What now? You interpreting things to your convenience, just how childish can you be?"

"What are you saying? Aren't you the one who interpret things to your convenience?"

"Guess talking are useless 'huh? Come."

After she's done with her preparation, she tried to provoke Arata. And just like a child, Arata accept the provoke with a bright smile believing he was the right one. He straightforwardly rushed to Runa only with his fist.

When he reaches his fist range, he stomps the ground and swing his fist to Runa. But, Runa just stood there with no intention of dodging.

(Just how long are you going to look down on me!)

Arata thought so, and at that time his shadow surged out. But he smiled,

"I know this trick."

He let out his stupidly bright aura to repel the shadow. And as expected, the shadow are repelled. His smile grew even bigger on his face. But,

"As expected you are just a foolish person with a childish sense of justice."

There was no change in Runa expression when she said so.
