New Start

I was on my way to the elevator when I suddenly bumped into a woman who was nearly 65 years old.

"I am sorry, Madam". I said, noticing how she was scanning me from head to toe. "Oh.. Please don't judge me I am wearing this fairy costume because I was here for a little girl's birthday who wanted to meet a fairy before her surgery." As I said those words, I felt like I was about to break into tears, so I covered my emotions with a dull smile on my face.

"Surgery? " she questioned , looking concerned and confused at the same time.

"Yeah. Sh... She is suffering from cancer", with those words I could fell the hot tears on my cheek.

The old lady was kind and asked me how the girl was related to me.

When I answered her we weren't related, she seemed kinda shocked.

From her accent it was easy to tell that she is British.

After checking on me one more time, she asked, "What's your name, young lady? "

"Pearl. Pearl Bardor".

"You are as beautiful as your name, Pearl." while saying this she smiled genuinely at me. "I am Roselyn." she added.

Suddenly the elevator door opened.

"Let me drop you ."

"No, it's alright I will take a cab."

"Please, I insist, Pearl."

I nodded .

When we reached outside, I was shocked to see her car. "Is this Limo yours? "

"Yes, Darling ."

After seeing her car I was sure we did not belong to the the same class. We were from completing different worlds.

She asked my address but seeing me nervous she said, " Just be yourself and forget about what the world thinks."

"I did not get you."

"You will find out about it , but for now come inside and give me your address."

I did as she told.

As the Limo started, she asked me what I do for living, to which I replied "I am in search of a job . You can say I want a new start."

Probably new start is what I need after my past.

" Pearl, I have a favor to ask. I have a granddaughter who is 14 and she needs your help. We have many nannies but none of them could connect with Mia, She doesn't talk to anyone, it's like she had abandoned everything even herself. "

"But, how can I help."

"Be her nanny, I even have have a grandson .His name is Darius and he is 27 and he is a businessman but he can't help Mia. He is too busy with his work. The one who can help her is you Pearl. You wanted a new start I am giving you one."

As I the Limo stopped to my given address Roselyn gave me a card telling me "Please think about it. "

I nodded.

As I went home I told mom about my encounter with Roselyn.

"Why don't you accept it? " my mom asked.

"But mom for that I will have to leave you for three months and go to England and what about my past ?"

"Come on, it's just three months, Pearl and its what you wanted ,A new Start and see universe is giving you a new start. Pearl, forgot about the past and accept the offer and start a new life." my mom said firmly.

After listening to her I contacted Roselyn with the card which she gave.

As I said her I am ready she sounded happy with the news.

That's how I ended in the airplane from New York to London. I am on my way to a new life. It's a new start.
