22 Chapter 18 -Daddy Issues
I watch in awe as Margo orders her team around. I look down from the top floor as she terrorizes each person in their work station
"Jensen are you high! Deactivate the camera's on the 16th floor. Vick is almost in"
She looks up at the main screen as the target's mark disappears
"What the fuck! What happened to our target. Simone I put you in charge of the tracking location what the fuck did you do!"
The poor girl start fidgeting in her seat as she tries to pinpoint the location of the target
"I'm sorry miss Vontez, I must have entered the wrong code. I'll fix it just give me a second please"
"Must have??? Have I taught you nothing this past week. How we're you people even hired, Move!'"
She pushes Simone's chair away and starts researching the target's location. They all turn to look at her curouisly
"Stop fucking looking at me and keep eyes on the screen. I'm not going to take the heat of letting one of our agents die because you baby hackers can't follow directions"
"It's nice to know your so concerned for me Babygirl" Vick says sarcastically as he hangs off the side of a high rise building
"Get over yourself don't call me that and how about you shut up and try not to pop the rope with your fat ass"
"I been sitting here waiting for the greenlight to go in but don't rush babygirl. We got allday"
I walk down the stairs and head over to Margo's work station. "Hang on Vick she's working on it, slight delay"
"Agent Fields your talking to me. Nice to hear your voice again. I don't want to you ladies to feel rushed but I am hanging 150 feet in the air. Again no worries"
"Everybody shut up! Just give me another moment. I just need to access her phone and.....Nope I got it! Got it!" Margo says jumping up as the target's red dot starts to blink on the main screen again
"She's in the executive office. Two guards by the elevators and one guard by the office door. No other guards are spotted. Get in your ass in there"
She turns around and looks at everyone in the room
"As for all of you, I never been so ashamed of a team in my life. But, I can tell by how tense you all are. You don't have to be afraid of that gargoyle you call a boss anymore. His ugly ass put me in charge of this dept so I will teach you. I will train you all to hack beyond your abilities but you have to give me your full attention. I refuse to work in this type of amateur environment again am I understood?"
"Yes Ms Vontez" each employee says at the same time
I look at my best friend in all of her glory. She really is a bad ass. I feel bad that she and khar haven't spoke in a few days since that night. I hate being the cause of ruining my best friend's happiness
"Margo I'm so sorry. Please talk to Kh.." she puts her hand in my face and shakes her head
"I don't want to talk about that right now. Anything else you want to talk about have at it"
I sigh and try to hide the guilt I feel. I pull her into a hug and whisper into her ear
"Can you hack into that security system in Gabriel's office. The hidden wall by his portrait is on some heavy guarded security that only can be accessed from his phone. I need to see my dad"
She pulls me to the side "I already tried to hack into the system before. I was only able to disarm the system for 60 seconds. That's the best I can do until I dig deep into the analytics of that security data"
"That's all I need. I just need to know he's okay. Can you distract the guard by his office"
She smirks and pulls me to her office. Her office is amazing just like mine. Floor to ceiling windows with the perfect view.
She sits down and starts unlocking the system on her computer
"This is Mercury Corp Property. You know he will find out about this" she says glancing up at me
"Like I give a damn. He can kiss my ass after everything he made me do"
"Yesss bitch! That's why I love you" she says proudly
"Okay Alena were in. His lock is disabled to his office. You have 60 seconds starting now we have to hurry"
We rush towards his office and see Jackson standing in front of his door like he's guarding the bunkingham palace
"Son of a bitch!!!!!! Helppppp" Margo screams as she falls to the floor
"Miss what's wrong with you" Jackson asks concerned
"These fucking cramps I'm going to die!!!! I can't walk help me please"
Jackson leans down to help her up. I take the opportunity to sneak into his office and close the door slightly behind me.
Okay I probably have 20 seconds left. The wall is already open causing the biggest smile on my face. I run inside and head for my dads room
"Dad!!!"
I look around the room. Every inch. Every corner.
Empty
"Dad!!!!!!!!!!! What the fuck where are you"
I'm in disbelief. Where is my father.
I hear a beeping sound and notice the door starting to slide closed. Fuck!
I run towards the door. I know three things are going to happen. I'm going to get stuck in here, or get crushed into two by the door, or I'm going to make it
I take my chances and leap out the door miraculously before closing. I roll forward landing on my knees. I look up and notice Gabriel's ugly shoes. Dammit
"Agent fields did you just break into my office?"
"Dumbass. I hate when people ask questions when they already know the answer" Margo says annoyed as Jackson holds onto her arm
"Where is my father!"
He looks at me smiling as he pulls out his phone
"Gabriel stop fucking with me! Where is he?"
My heart is racing. If he killed my father I will hate for Margo to witness what's about to happen
He puts the phone to my ear and everything in me feels relief when I hear my dad's voice
"Sweetie I'm sorry I worried you. You wasn't supposed to find out I was gone"
"Gone? Dad what the hell I thought the whole reason I'm in this damn place was to get you out of here and you didn't even to think to tell me you left. You really fucking left me here?"
"Alena your language! I'm your father show me some respect. Listen to me, I found out who's behind the death of Anna and Bryan"
"What does this have to do with Mom and my brother? I thought it was Nadia Burrows"
"Nadia planned it but she didn't order it. Our family was a target from another assassination company. Genesis"
I'm so fucking confused right now. Gabriel is looking at me bored as I look at him suspiciously
"Your doing this alone dad are you fucki... I mean are you kidding me"
"Listen, Gabriel is lending me resources to track down the son of a bitch who ordered the hit on us. I'll be back in that hell hole once this is over. Do your job and I'll do mine. Don't question me again"
"Dad!!! You didn't even ask me how I been or how I'm feeling after killing someone. Your daughter is a fucking assassin and all you can say when you first talk to me is Hey sweetie sorry for worrying you? Fuck it I'm done"
"And let us both die? I'm your father and you may risk our lives but I won't risk yours. I'll tell this fucking mercury agent next to me to shoot me so you can go free if that is what you wish"
I stay silent and look at a smirking grabriel. I really hate my life right now
"Okay dad. I'm sorry. Just please stay safe"
"The sooner we fulfill our duties at that damn Mercury Corp the sooner we will be free and become a family again. I'm sorry about what your going through my sweet girl. Your strong and you can get through it. Your my daughter. Fierce and unstoppable . I'm so proud of you. I'll be back before you know it. Don't worry. I love you sweetie "
He hangs up as I try to steady my breaths. I'm so thankful to have my dad back but I never felt so alone. He always been distant and it's all starting to come back
"Alena are you okay?" Margo asks worriedly
I nod and give her a slight smile but she sees right through it.
"Agent Fields follow me. I need you to get one of our suspects to talk"
I follow him out the room as we walk into the gym area. Margo follows behind being pulled along with Jackson.
We walk into a large private room past the gym
A middle aged good looking man sits against the wall with his hands in chains
"What's his story?" I ask looking at Gabriel
"This is Tenn Redder. Works for our enemy Genesis Assassination. We believe Genesis is behind the death of our beloved agent Samantha Cruise and last but not least your family"
"Why the hell is my dad out there and not here?"
"This isn't our guy but your dad found out he works for Genesis . He wanted you to get information out of him"
My blood starts boiling as I look at the smirking man. He's eye raping me hard.
"Genesis says hi by the way" the suspect says smiling
I nod and send him a smile right back. I kneel down to come face to face with him as he licks his lips
"Who killed my family Ted?"
He shrugs his shoulders
"I'm only going to ask again nicely"
"Oh by all means beautiful be rough with me"
I grab him by the collar and pull him up, slamming him hard against the wall
"Who killed my family! Give me a name!"
"No idea, I really don't give a damn about who killed your family sweet cheeks"
I punch him hard across the face as his nose starts dripping blood. I'm seeing red again. My body is full of rage
"Give me a fucking name!"
He turns his head and spits out blood "Agent Fields. Your an assassin yourself just like me. You know we would never betray our own. You won't get a damn word out of me. You can beat the shit out of me long as you want, I won't give you shit. Fuck your family"
Oh okay he went there
I slam my knee into his stomach as he groans over coughing uncontrollably. He falls back onto his knees and he tries to catch his breath
"Alena please calm down, trust me I want to fuck his ass up too but I know that look in your eye. Please relax" Margo begs
I'm so full of rage I could careless what she's saying.
"Agent Fields your going to regret that you bitch" Ted says angrily
I smirk and pull my gun out from my backside and pull the trigger
The bullet goes straight between his temple as his lifeless body falls to the side
"Fields!!! Who gave you the order to take the shot" Gabriel yells, snatching the gun from my hand
"Alena!!! Oh my god!" Margo screams as tears fill her eyes
"He wasn't going to tell us anything. He's loyal. As am I. You weren't going to let him leave here alive anyway. Your welcome"
I start to walk out the room I'm tired of this shit. I'm stopped as Gabriel grabs my arm
"You pull a move like that again and I'll kill you myself. Do not ever go against my orders again. You don't take shots around here without my permission do you understand?"
I look down at his hand on my arm, this son of a bitch
"Fine but like I said you you we're going to kill him anyway. You won't touch me. I'm your top agent and you need me. I'm so close to taking out my anger on your agents in here so I suggest you get the fuck out of my face"
His frown tightens up into a smile and nods proudly
"Be on your way, Agent Fields. Don't let it happen again. Jackson take care of the body"
I roll my eyes as I head towards the door. I look towards Margo as she looks at me shaking in fear
"Margo lets go" I don't have time for her over dramatics again. I'm ready to get the hell out of here
"No. I don't know who you are anymore"
Gabriel sighs loudly "Yeah no I'm not going to bore myself with this Dr Phil session. Excuse me" he pushes past us rudely
"Margo I don't have time for this"
"You don't have time for this? But it was okay for me to stand here and watch you murder someone like it's normal?"
Ugh I'm trying so hard to stay calm. She's giving me a headache
"Either you bring your ass on or I'm leaving you here. You'll find your way back home"
"Wow you really would leave me here in a place full of assassins? I really don't know who you are anymore. Your one of them now. My best friend would never do this. Your Agent Fields now and I want nothing to do with you anymore"
I look at her with no reaction as we stand in silence. I head out the door without feeling any type of emotion.
