177 Sudden Attack

Days passed since the drinking event between Yun and Sima Yi, the army arrived at Wulin where it stationed itself as they waited for news from Sun Quan Cao Cao couldn't attack Sun Quan without reason since his family served the Imperial Family even before the Yellow Turban Uprising.

If Cao Cao attacked Sun Quan without a reason it would make other allies to the Imperial Family suspicious of them not being the next target of the Prime Minister.

Yun was looking at the horizon when he hears someone approaching and says, "Has Zhuge Liang left with his wife?"

"Yes, he should be halfway to Xiakou with his escort," says Pang Tong as he sits down beside Yun.

"Good," says Yun happy that Zhuge Liang left them since it would be too dangerous for him and his wife on Cao Cao's side of the field.

"He also had two letters with him instead of only one," hints Pang Tong at Yun who only nods.

"I think it is time for you to read the letter I gave you back when I left with Lu Bu to Xuchang," says Yun surprising Pang Tong a bit who took the letter out as he has it on himself the whole time.

Pang Tong reads the letter before his face turned pale because Yun proficied their current present when a creepy smirk appears on Pang Tong's face which went from ear to ear.

"I see, you want to sink Cao Cao to the deeps of the river with the ships using this strategy," says Pang Tong loving it.

"But how are we going to make it happen. He won't trust you if you suggest such a strategy," says Pang Tong knowing that Yun and Cao Cao had a falling out.

"It won't be me suggesting this strategy, but you, Pang Tong," says Yun surprising his friend when Yun continues with, "I will throw in one or two strategy in the room which Cao Cao won't accept since he would need expert naval commanders which he doesn't have."

"He will take this strategy since he could maintain his troops together by connecting them all making all the ships just a big platform on which the infantry can fight on," says Pang Tong seeing through it while Yun only nods.

"Yes, I will be leaving most of my men on firm land and only take people wearing light armor with us since we need to be able to float and swim once we turn sides and join Sun Quan while the army on firm land will be pushing Cao Cao to retreat through the marshlands," says Yun making Pang Tong laugh out loud.

"And we will significantly weaken him through it giving Sun Quan time to concentrate his attention to the south to stabilize his rule over the eastern part of the Empire," says Pang Tong while Yun only nods.

"Yes, while we will be guarding the North preventing Cao Cao from attacking us by surprise," says Yun knowing that Cao Cao had only mobilized half of his army to take Jing while the other half was making sure no mice appeared while he was gone to fight in the south.

"Well, why not kill Cao Cao just right then instead of letting him retreat?" asks Pang Tong curious but he probably already knew the answer.

"If we killed Cao Cao the north would fall into chaos again and many people would die because of it as the remaining Warlords try to claim as much of Cao Cao's power as possible while his sons fight over the remains of their father's riches. Even if I hate to say it we need Cao Cao alive," says Yun seriously as he looked at the ceasing Sun going down in the west.

"Also, tell the soldiers to cook the water before drinking it and to distance themselves from Cao Cao and his army since a famine will soon strike us," says Yun seriously knowing that the water was the biggest reason for Cao Cao losing to Sun Quan since most of his men died to the famine created from using the river water to drink or cook without properly cooking it to kill the bacteria inside of it.

"I will inform them," says Pang Tong as he stand up to leave when he stops and asks, "Why haven't you chosen one of us as your trusted allies? Why Lu Bu and Sima Yi?"

"I wouldn't want to disturb the rest of my close friends. We all will die one day but I know that I will awaken again and when it happens I might be calling forth the people I made a contract with from their peaceful rest. I don't want to do that to you nor Tang Shi nor my brother. You should all rest in peace while I continue to fight in another life. See it as a reward to not have to support my idiocy any longer than needed," says Yun with a smile on his face.

"What if we wanted to follow you into battle even after death?" asks Pang Tong seriously as Yun stood up and turned toward Pang Tong.

"If that was the case it would have to wait until I really could do what you want me to do. I have restriction which I have to follow by since my Godfather made this possible for me. I can only gather three Generals, two Strategists, and one wife, in the span of one life. Those are the limits," says Yun as Pang Tong could count one and one together.

"You want to make Guan Yu one of those Generals, am I right?" asks Pang Tong sure of it as he sees Yun nod.

"Yes, he is one of the candidates but there are others I am considering if I can't make him one of those Generals," says Yun seriously as he places his hands on Pang Tong's shoulders and continues, "If you really want to serve even after death I will find a way somehow."

"Are you going to ask your Godfather for help for that?" asks Pang Tong as Yun shakes his head.

"No, I would have to find another way to accomplish that," says Yun seriously as he tried to reassure Pang Tong.

"Well, I will have to wait then," says Pang Tong giving up on the idea for now before leaving when Yun feels a shadow watching him.

He turns around seeing nothing there except for the last rays of the sun touching his face before he felt a cold hand touch his shoulder.

He turns around to only see a shadow which suddenly touches his forehead and Yun saw golden eyes while the shadow says, "Re... w.. y.. a.."

Something stormed into Yun through the contact when Yun suddenly sees a dark blade coming for him and the shadow before everything turned black for him.

He was sitting on a throne now wearing a plate armor that was shining while a sword with runes engraved on it was laying beside his throne as he saw twelve knights sitting at a round table when he hears, "Arthur, are you alright?"

Yun didn't know what was going on and why that person called him by his real name when he looks at the man who had eyes that looked like they have seen everything the world had to offer to him.

"Yes, everything is alright," says Arthur which surprised Yun since he didn't say anything when he hears Arthur say, "I was in deep thoughts for a moment, Merlin. Where were we again?"

"We were talking about the taxes and the winter that is coming, my Lord Pendragon," says Merlin bowing slightly showing that he was the right-hand man of Arthur.

Yun right now was surprised by what he heard as he now realized that he must be seeing something like the dream back then when he married his wife, Diao Chan.

He looked at the bowl before him and saw golden eyes stare back at him when he feels something drag him away from there and he takes a deep breathe out of shock as his body shoots up and he hears, "The sleeping beauty is back from her sleep."

Yun looked across of him seeing Shura stare at him before he hears, "I almost had him. The person that killed you and sent you to sleep just a moment ago."

"What was he?" asks Yun holding his head as he was having a massive headache now that he was forcefully pulled out of the vision.

"I don't know and that is making me believe that he might be a Forgotten God or worse," says Shura seriously as this could be bigger than he thought before sheathing his black sword which was giving Yun the creeps.

"I will have to investigate further for now. You should try to rest for the next couple of days," says Shura as he vanishes as fast as he arrived there.

"Fuck," says Yun as he tries to stand up only to fall again when he lays down and says, "Maybe I should sleep here tonight instead of falling of the wall and killing myself by accident."

Meanwhile with Shura, he returned to the Realm of Warriors and walked to his library when he walked from shelf to shelf trying to find a book which seemed to have disappeared.

"Alfred," says Shura making Alfred appear behind him right away.

"Yes, my Lord?" asks Alfred wanting to know what Shura wanted from him.

"Where is the book which used to be here?" asks Shura pointing at a empty spot on the bookshelf which supposedly had a book before but was now missing.

Alfred was now shocked as well since a book can't disappear just like that from this library since they all had a seal on them making it possible to be tracked.

Alfred tried to track said book but couldn't find it in the Realm of Warriors which shocked him even more as he says, "It isn't in this realm any longer."

"It is in no realm any longer!" shouts Shura as it seemed to have vanished completely as if someone was trying to hide their track from him when he says, "I will need to inform my father after all."

Shura then vanishes again to meet with his adoptive father to find some explanation for this matter.
