24 Leaving the Capital

Lu Bu visited almost every day and ate with Zhao Yun and Diao Chan for one week before he had to leave the capital on his father's order to rest at home since Ding Yuan was believing that Lu Bu was trying to pester Zhao Yun for another fight.

Three days after Lu Bu left the capital, Zhao Yun was called into the Imperial Palast as the horse seemed to have arrived. Zhao Yun entered the Imperial Palast and entered the same courtyard again just this time only the Emperor, He Jin, a man that had a messy beard but was only a little bit of fat, and a monster of a mare with red hair all over it with people holding it down.

The Mare was a bit smaller compared to Thunder but you could see that it had the same attitude as Thunder. Zhao Yun approached the Mare as he puts his hand out towards her while saying, "Don't worry, I will take good care of you."

"The boy is crazy," says the slightly fat man as he wanted to stop Zhao Yun when He Jin stopped him.

"Dong Zhuo, you should let the boy experience some pain. Someone can't learn from his mistakes if he is saved from them every time," says He Jin as Dong Zhuo was not worried about the boy but the horse.

He wanted to use the horse to lure a strong fighter into his ranks but the Emperor wanted the horse to gift it to someone paying him quite well.

"The boy will get himself killed," says Dong Zhuo as the men were pulling on the ropes holding the horse down when the horse stopped to fight against Zhao Yun.

Zhao Yun's hand reached the forehead of the Mare and petted it calming it down completely as Dong Zhuo was shocked from seeing that.

'How can that be? That horse is the most vicious thing I have ever encountered but the boy tamed it by using only his hand,' thinks Dong Zhuo as his expression could say far more to He Jin who wasn't shocked from seeing that since he saw Zhao Yun fight against Lu Bu.

"Now how about we release you from your shackles," says Zhao Yun as he removed the ropes that were around the body of the Mare.

The Mare was calm as Zhao Yun was in its presence when the Emperor steps forwards and says, "It seems to recognize you as its owner. We were worried that it would lash out as it did with all the others. It seems your future will be boundless but We hope that you will remember us and help the Imperial Family when it needs you the most."

"I will remember that," says Zhao Yun as he was examining the Mare closely seeing if it was alright.

"Good, He Jin give him the documents," says the Emperor as He Jin walked forwards holding the document.

"With this, only you can command your troops. You kneel to us and no one else. You will be an independent commander who doesn't need to follow the governors but only what you think is Justice," says the Emperor as Zhao Yun kneeled towards the Emperor.

"Now give us a name for your troops," says the Emperor wanting to hear Zhao Yun's decision.

Zhao Yun was thinking but couldn't decide how to name his squad when a low voice says in his mind, 'Deathseekers, born to fight and ready to die in battle while protecting their brothers and sisters.'

"Deathseekers(Xúnqiú Sǐwáng Zhě)" says Zhao Yun as he heard that voice before always telling him to remember who he is.

"Deathseekers? Quite an unusual name but it has some intimidation in it that can instill fear into their enemies," says the Emperor as He Jin opened the document and completes it by squeezing the three words in the blank spot.

Then He Jin folds the document and hands it over to the Emperor who takes it and says, "Stretch your hands out."

Zhao Yun does as said and the Emperor puts the document in his hands while saying, "Now it is official. We hope to hear from you in the future. But We think we held you back for too long. You shall return to the battlefield and rejoin with your men."

"Thank you, Your Majesty," says Zhao Yun as the Emperor smiles.

"Strong men will be needed in the future and We hope you will be one of them," says the Emperor as he left the courtyard and He Jin with Dong Zhuo was still there with Zhao Yun.

"You heard his Majesty. Don't disappoint us in the future and serve your Emperor well," says He Jin as Zhao Yun petted the Mare again.

"What is the name of the horse?" asks Zhao Yun as Dong Zhuo walked forward.

"It's called the Red Hare but all horses like it are called that way. It doesn't have a name yet," says Dong Zhuo as Zhao Yun looked at him confused.

"He is Dong Zhuo. He was supposed to take over for Lu Zhi if Lu Zhi was condemned to treason. Dong Zhuo will be going back to the west with his men," says He Jin as Zhao Yun stared at Dong Zhuo knowing who he will be in the future.

"I heard that you killed important people. I really hope that we will work together in the future," says Dong Zhuo as he stretched his hand out towards Zhao Yun.

Zhao Yun took his hand and felt a firm grip coming from Doing Zhuo making him realize that he underestimated Dong Zhuo.

'I should have known that Dong Zhuo didn't get to his position by bribing his way up,' thinks Zhao Yun while saying, "I hope so as well."

"We shouldn't hold you here any longer. Take your horse and get to the front Commander," says He Jin as Zhao Yun bows.

"Yes, Marshall," says Zhao Yun as a servant came with a saddle and simple reigns making Zhao Yun think, 'I will have to ask the smith back in Zhending to attach some stirrups on the saddle so Diao Chan can mount it better.'

Zhao Yun places the saddle on the Mare as he put the reigns around the head when he guided it out while saying, "I hope we will see each other again once everything is over."

Zhao Yun then left with the help of a servant before the other two could say something while putting the document under his armor. Then he went to the inn and finds Diao Chan ready to leave.

"Will we finally leave?" asks Diao Chan as Zhao Yun smiles at her.

"Yes, but first you have to name your horse," says Zhao Yun as Diao Chan was surprised as well as the Mare itself.

The Mare was quite protesting as Zhao Yun pets her and says, "I already have a horse. He is the strongest of them all. But I need a competent steed for my wife. Do you want to be compared with Thunder?"

The Mare seemed to agree to see the Endbringer as Zhao Yun gave the reigns to Diao Chan as he entered the stable and brought Thunder out. Thunder's presence made the Mare feel fear as it was trying to hide behind Diao Chan when Thunder looked at it.

"It seems Thunder scared her," says Diao Chan as she touched the Mare trying to calm it down when she continues, "Our Huntress tried to hunt a beast too strong for her."

"Huntress?" asks Zhao Yun as Diao Chan smiles.

"Her name will be Huntress as she has red hair almost looking like she came from a bloody hunt," says Diao Chan explaining why she named the Mare that way.

"Huntress," says Zhao Yun as he petted her.

"Let me present you to Thunder, my steed. Then we have Snowflake. He is laying between your owner's breasts," says Zhao Yun as Huntress could see the little White Tiger sleeping between the breasts of Diao Chan when Shadow landed on Zhao Yun's shoulder.

"And this is the last member of our little family and your comrade, Shadow. She is the oldest of you all and in charge if I and Diao Chan aren't around," says Zhao Yun as he helped Diao Chan on Thunder because it was easier to ride than Huntress because of his saddle and reigns.

He jumps onto Huntress while Shadow continued on staying beside Zhao Yun as they begin to travel to Zhending. It took them four days to reach the gates of Zhending as Zhao Yun had to hide his face for now since he should have been in the front right now and not in Zhending.

It helped that Diao Chan was riding Thunder while he was riding Huntress. Shadow wasn't on Zhao Yun's shoulder but flying directly home with a message for his family.

"The city is quite lively," says Diao Chan as they passed the market riding towards the Zhao Manor.

"This is nothing. Once the war is over I will bring you again to show you how many people normally are here," says Zhao Yun as they arrived at the manor.

The servant let them in without a question until they were no prying eyes when the servant bows towards Zhao Yun and says, "Welcome back, young master."

"Who is the person beside you. It's not every day that I see another person sitting on the most vicious horse of Zhending," says the servant curious as he helped Diao Chan down from Thunder.

"She is my future wife," says Zhao Yun as the servant bows to Diao Chan making her feel uncomfortable.

"You need to accustomed to it many people will bow to you beginning soon since the Zhao Family is prominent in Zhending," says Zhao Yun as he took Snowflake between Diao Chan's breasts.

"Where is my mother?" asks Zhao Yun as the servant shows them the way.

They arrived at the main hall where Madam Su was waiting with Zhao Hua and Zhao Qing while Shadow was sitting beside Madam Su. Madam Su looked at Zhao Yun as she asks, "Shouldn't you be with your father at the front?"

"I had to go to the capital to deliver some evidence to the Emperor. He rewarded me for what I did at the front. I was on my way back when I wanted to bring someone here," says Zhao Yun as Madam Su looked at Diao Chan.

"You wanted to bring her here. Who is she?" asks Madam Su looking at Diao Chan strictly as she was evaluating Diao Chan.

"She is going to be my wife," says Zhao Yun firmly as Madam Su was surprised by it while Hua and Qing were shocked from hearing that.

Their brother who refused countless beautiful women dragged a woman back home and wants to marry her. Madam Su looked at Zhao Yun surprised as she took a closer look at Diao Chan.

"Stand up, girl," says Madam Su in a commanding tone as Diao Chan stands up.

Madam Su walks over as she examined Diao Chan touching her waist and other parts of Diao Chan surprising Diao Chan when Zhao Yun stops Madam Su.

"Mother, aren't you going too far there," says Zhao Yun as Madam Su looked at him seriously.

"I was just looking if she could give me strong grandchildren. You know that it needs more than beauty to enter this household," says Madam Su as Zhao Yun sighs.

"She is a normal girl. She will learn under you, mother. But I won't marry if you don't accept her. We already shared the bed," says Zhao Yun bluffing as Diao Chan turned red after hearing that.

Madam Su and Zhao Hua were shocked that Zhao Yun, the man they know as the man that wouldn't touch a woman, has slept with a woman and even brought her home to become his wife. Zhao Qing was confused about everything as she lost herself when Zhao Yun mentioned that he slept with Diao Chan since she didn't understand what it meant.
