18 Explanation and Chosen
Hades POV

Asura got started with the girls the instant we arrived. These girls are something else. Anything else would be long dead. The vitality of these 2 are unreal.

Slate, Leviathan, and Bahamut are watching Asura work when the human king and the oracle show up.

Lunafreya: What is happening? LORD HADES! LORD LEVIATHAN! LORD BAHAMUT?!

She is in a nice white negligee. She bows and I get a good look down it. Nice.

Lunafreya: I am sorry about my appearance my Lords. To what do we owe this honor?

Hades: Slate, stay with Asura. She will need you. King, get the little mage too. Their connection will help.

Ink: Im here Shiny Head. Who are they?

Inks eyes start glowing gold and she walks to Asura.

Hades: Good. The 4 are finally together. I can rest after this.
Hades: Listen. We found the 2 girls in a Chaos Anthem Research center. An ACTIVE center.

Bahamut, Leviathan, Noctis and Lunafreya: Impossible!!

Hades: I was of the same mind but this was undeniably an active research center. The girls were in powered tanks with what I assume was liquid Chaos being pumped into them. There were other tanks with live soulless bodies. Then there were the piles of corpses...
they were all... small. All of them were children corpses.

Hades: There were also traces of a Hero and Demon King. My guess is they were trying to mix One or both with Chaos. I honestly have no idea how the 2 girls are even alive. I didnt let Slate see them but there was a storage of hundreds of Chaos Materium, A Fully Crystalline Jenova Soldier Wing, and Shards of a Crystal of Light. I stored them before he could see them.

The Gods and Humans reach new hights of anger. To mess with Chaos is beyond taboo. To try and mix it with Divine or Demon elements... its unthinkable

Bahamut: Did you find anything to hunt them down?

Leviathan: This inhuman action will be met with maximum consequences.

Hades: No but Slate has all paperwork from the center. He should clues or something if we are lucky. But there is one note that caught my eye... "Project Test Number 9683 {Mist}... Combination Successful"

Leviathan: WHAT? They managed to do it? Make a Chaos Hybrid?!

Hades: Its unlikely but they were happy with something... thats bad news for us. If they did make the hybrid... im not sure what will happen.

Lunafreya: What will happen with the 2 girls you saved? If they have any Chaos in them... Im doubtful they will live and if they do... they will be hunted down by everything. Gods, Humans, Animals, Demons. and Mechanical Monsters.

As we were talking, Slate's body started to rise into the air. Soon after, so did the 3 girls. The Girl's bodies were shining and a chain was connected from their bodies to Slate. The chain connected to Ink was a deep and rich purple. But the other 2... they looked rusted and were covered in some kind of gunk. They seemed ready to break. Confusion was on everyones face up until Slate yelled to the heavens.

Slate: IF THEY CANT HANDLE THEIR SHARE OF THE BURDENS... THEN I WILL MAKE IT UP FOR THEM!!

Asura POV
These poor girls. They are barely holding on. My healing has never beed so ineffective. Slate looks heart broken. Im not sure why but he is.

Asura: Slate, did you know these 2 before this? I can feel your dread coming off of you.

Slate: No. Ive never met them before. But... I feel like Ive been waiting a long time just to meet them. I would do anything I can to help them. It feels like I am losing something I didnt know I needed...

Ah... well said child. The 8 of us found souls that harmonized with yours. They are ment to help heal you after your previous life but impressively... you are more resistant then expected.

Asura: Well then, I need you to draw on your passive Regen to try and help them stabilize. I an fighting like their immune system to repel whatever was given to them. Is that ok?

Slate: Ofcourse! How do I do that?

Asura: Try to picture your Regen as a cord of some sort. It should be a ball in your chest that runs throughout your body. Then push the cord to circle your hand. Then go to one of them and help her. The other one will have to wait. They will then be connected to your Regen until you remove the cord.

Slate closes his eyes. His face starts to go red with immense strain till his chest exploded open. He falls on all 4 limbs and starts breathing heavily.

Asura: NO! YOU CANT PUSH IT THAT HARD! ONLY TO YOUR HAND! WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO?!

Slate: I ... cant ... only ... help ... one.

His back now splits open and 3 chains shoot out of his back. One sinks into each of the girls. The 2 hurt and Ink.

I cant believe what im seeing. He is giving his Regen to 3 and still has more left. That vitality of his is psychically unreal. How can...

???: Interesting.

My body froze. Me... a god. Only 1 thing could do this...

Asura: Chaos...

Slate POV

I feel like my body is ripping appart but I can also feel the girls getting better. I can see Asura talking but Im unable to hear her words.

???: Interesting

That one word I heard loud and clear. Asura stopped healing too.

Slate: NOOO! DONT STOP HEALING THEM!!! THEY WILL DIE!!!

???: She did not stop healing. everything except us has stopped.

Slate: YOU ASSHOLE!! LET HER HEAL THEM!!

???: Interesting... Interesting... INTERSTING!!! You really are an Interesting mortal. I have never been spoken to like this. The god will fail to heal them. They have small parts of me within them and these pieces of me are stopping the god from saving them.

The girls cant shoulder such a burden. The burden of Chaos. But I will give you a choice.

Become my Chosen and fight with the Impostor. Only then can those 2 be saved.

Slate: If I become your chosen... you will save them?

Chaos: No. I will tell you how wou can save them. Do we have a deal Child?

Slate: I cant fight due to the child saving blessing. Not until I am 15 and then I will need to train. I will not be able to fight the Impostor for a while. Is that still ok?

Chaos: ... No. I will remove the blessing from you 4. You will go after the Impostor now. I will not wait.

Slate: I have no means of finding the Impostor or of long range travel. You are asking for too much without giving me time to prepare. Do you want this Imposter stopped or not?

Chaos: ... How long do you need?

Slate: For me to be ready? No clue. But for the 4 of us... maybe 8 years if we can train now? And everyone must be healthy.

Chaos: Then use those chains and take the burden from the 2 with parts of me in them. Use the Chaos in your storage too. That will save them and make you 4 my Chosen. The chains will brand you. Be warned. It will crystallize you 4 and when you reemerge... you will be changed.

Slate: Will they be ok?

Chaos: All 4 of you will fall under the Chaos Pain Burden. It might be to much for them. But oh well, You will be fine.
