30 New leader!!

A message popped up in Hastin's mobile. He knows what it was all about. He understood that he cannot ignore this anymore, so he picked the phone.

A message displayed on the screen,

'Welcome back, Quietus! I hope you had a nice journey! Since you decided to run away instead of finishing the book which you started, what type of punishment should I give you?'

He gulped down and the hand which was holding the phone shook. The next message popped up,

'Do not worry, I decided not to punish you this time. But instead, I am now going to send you directly to the location where I have kept the next five. You will observe their situation directly and carry on with the fieldwork. I am always here to support and encourage you. I wish you luck.'

Before Hastin could even realize what hit him, he was pulled into the phone and transported to the neglected asylum. The phone hit the floor and the screen broke. Akemi who rushed upstairs after hearing the noise looked around and did not find Hastin anywhere.

She was about to go out to find him when a message displayed in front of her eyes.

'Quietus has been sent to do fieldwork. Go check the basement, you will find Spencer. I want you to go along with him and clear all the hard evidence which Dan collected against us.'

She walked down the stairs and looked around the house. The house very much looked haunted as the owner was nowhere to be found. She could not understand the mood swings she was facing. She actually behaved like a violent beast when she broke Lucas's legs. She did not know what came over her and made her do such an evil thing.

Even though she was trying to frighten Hastin, it was all because of the instructions she received from the App. But this time, it was her; she hurt a human being.

When she went to the basement, the app praised her for bringing one more human into their group. Since the app could not heal any human, she instructed Nick to take Lucas to the hospital. But before he left, she injected newly upgraded nanobots into his system.

"Nick, careful! Do not let them examine him thoroughly as they would find out about the nanobots." Akemi warned after he pulled him away from Lucas.

"What did you inject me with?" Lucas asked.

"You do not need to worry about that," Akemi replied.

"How can I not worry? This is my body. You already broke both my legs and now you have injected something…" Suddenly Lucas stopped talking and his eyes became red.

His body started to violently jump up and down. Nick moved away as if nothing major was happening and took his phone out. Akemi went up to check on Hastin as she heard some light noise coming out of his room.

As he saw Akemi coming down, Nick said,

"I spoke with my cousin on the phone, who is a veterinary doctor. We can finish the job without anyone knowing. He won't ask any questions and he is not someone who would rant us out. I think that would be a better option, what do you think"

"I am ok with anything! Do, as you see fit... Looks like this upgrade is a little more severe than the ones which we had… He fainted."

Nick moved forward to lift him up and realized Lucas was burning.

"His temperature is very high. I don't know if he will pass away on the way to my cousin's place."

"Who cares? Just take him and leave." Akemi said.

Nick walked away holding Lucas in one hand while Akemi went down the basement to check on Spencer. When she reached down, what awaited her made her blush and look away in shyness.

Spencer laid down on the floor without any clothes. She walked up the stairs and went inside Hastin's room once again. She picked some random clothes and went back to the basement. By now Spencer woke up and stood in front of her in full length.

She controlled her reactions and tried to keep her face straight while throwing the clothes directly at Spencer's face.

"Dress up and come out, I will wait for you near the garage." Without turning back, she spits those words and walked away.

Spencer without any expression picked the clothes and started to dress up. He did not think that anything was wrong, as the system installed in his brain did not have any concept related to shy away or what shamelessness means.

He did not find it odd to be naked in front of a girl, in any case even if it was Nick, he would have stood like that without any thought. As he had completely forgotten what a human being needs to maintain in order to live in this society.

Akemi whose body had now turned hot because of the scene which she saw just now. She shook her head to clear her thoughts as she was unable to understand why her brain kept repeating that man's parts in her mind. She walked behind the mansion towards the outhouse.

"Tegus, are you there? What are you doing inside?"

She knocked on the door of the outhouse before opening the door. What she saw inside made her run away in horror. Tegus along with some giant lizards were rolling and doing the deed with…

She ran towards the garage and knocked on Spencer's chest. Spencer moved away and walked towards the car parked on the sides. He checked each and every car and realized that not even one was in working condition.

Left with no option, he moved towards the truck which had the top opened by Slayer. He hopped in and waited for Akemi to get in. He started the car and drove towards Dan's house but on the way, he did a u-turn.

"Where are you going? The system says Dan's house is in the next block." Akemi became alert as Spencer was behaving in a different way right from the start.

She felt like he was different from the others and even compared to her. He did not respond, so left with no option, she tried to hold his hand to stop him from going in a different direction. The minute her hand touched his hand, Spencer parked the truck on the side.

He pushed his hands away easily and jumped down from the truck. Then he walked to the other side and pulled her down. He lifted her up and walked inside the house. Akemi started to resist but the strength which Spencer had was ten times more than her.

"Let me go before I report your actions to the App." Akemi hit him with all the strength she got.

Her hands hurt and were almost on the verge of breaking but nothing happened to Spencer. He threw her on the sofa and walked in. Before he went inside, he said,

"Stay! Do not move."

Akemi did not heed to his warning and lifted her up from the sofa. She jumped on him and they both entered into a duel. She punched him on his face but he caught her hand and twisted it behind her back. He pulled her hair and dragged her towards the storeroom. He took a rope and tied her hands and legs.

"I dislike it if someone disobeys my order. I am now second in command. When I say something, you all are supposed to listen and do what I say. If I say stay then you should have stayed in that place and not run behind me and fight with me. Do you understand?" Spencer asked.

Akemi stood in place and at that time a message popped up in front of her eyes.

'Spencer will be second in command. He will decide all the rules from now on and will have the authority to eliminate any subject who goes against our goal.'
