2.0 Eyes

Shu XinYi obviously didn't hear it. He had already returned to the black space giving a little laugh. He hoped that this was his true death, this was the life he wanted to live. He lived every moment in peace, being loved by his hubby and having someone to love. Although he knew that these were all virtual worlds or something but the feelings he felt here were real. What LiFeng felt in the world was real too since in that world although he didn't have a human consciousness he still was playing a human.

He remained in the black space for a long time,, while Snow recieved the virus code after disrupting a completed world. When Snow finally sent the code lines to him, he saw that there were actually two incomplete codes. One was which Shu XinYi earned. The second ... well? "Snow how did we recieve two different code lines and both of them incomplete, are they part of the same code just broken links?"

"No Master, I received the first code from the consciousness of these worlds. The second one was sent by someone from inside these worlds. The code as you can see is incomplete and it's purpose too is unidentifiable."

"What do you mean someone from inside the worlds. Like an other human who is free from control? Does another human also have a system like you. No no, what if it's a virus code to harm us?"

"Master it was someone from the world we just exited from. I am not sure if the sender is human or not but I know that the code lines are not harmful for us."

Shu XinYi thought of the possibilities but couldn't comprehend. If the sender was human, they should have control over themselves to form codes and send it to someone but the world he was in, had only 3 humans, all of which were working under the worlds consciousness. So then it could only be an NPC code but that would mean ... that the NPC code had a consciousness?? Aren't they just bots who have to play human?

Shu XinYi had a very far fetched and strange conjecture. Who would sent me this code? Could it be... him? No how could that be, I must be overwhelmed from everything that happened. He tried not to think much but his heart had already betrayed him beating too fast and hurting too much. He rubbed his ear to calm his nerves. I have to think rationally, even if that was the case, he only exists in that world and I can't go back to that world.

He stored the code lines in two different memory chips through Snow. He told Snow that he will rest for a while, in the meantime Snow should find another complete world. He closed his eyes and meditated. He felt that his mind space had expanded a little and the previously dark mind space had a red ball of light floating in the center. Shu XinYi walked inside his own minds pace and observed the red ball. It was difficult to see but it did exist.

Shu XinYi felt that something inside his soul had enhanced. He didn't understand what this was but it didn't feel harmful so he didn't pay attention anymore. He stayed in this state for a long time to stabilize his emotional state and metaphysical state. When he woke up he felt refreshed. The memories he had of LiFeng had become a part of him but they didn't bother or pain him anymore. They were just happy memories of a lifetime.

He told Snow to transfer him to another complete world.

After entering, the first thing Shu XinYi heard was the clocking of hoves and he could tell that they were traveling on a rough pavement since the carrier was shaking a lot. Shu XinYi kept his eyes closed as he heard two hushed voices "Leo you remember what I taught you right? The person father is taking us to today is the Duke Morris, you have to give him a good impression Okay?" This was obviously a girl's voice, that sounded pleasant to the ear.

"Yes sister Elena, I understand, I will not disappoint you." This was obviously a young man but he seemed very shy and timid. The young man continued "Should I wake Xavi up?"

"Leo! he is the future heir of the family, how many times have I told you. Although he is younger than you, You are to refer to him as elder brother Xavier. Father will scold you if you refer to him like that. You are only a servent in this family Leo, when even I can't call him like that then how can you." The girl seemed pretentious with her words.

"But Sister, Xavi says I can call him like that, then isn't it okay?" The young man tried to argue.

"Leo you are too innocent. If Father hears this, he will scold you and punish you, like those gaurds. Do you want to face the same thing again?" Shu XinYi had a feeling that this girl was not a good person.

"No no please I don't want to go back. Please sister you said that wouldn't happen." The young man was quick to retract his stance, like he was walking on a tightrope.

"Good boy Leo, don't be afraid I am here okay. Just do as I say and you will be okay."

Shu XinYi was horrified what is this, what is happening? He asked Snow to sent the world information and he was even more horrified. Shu XinYi was the one called Xavier Xalvadore. He was the heir of the Xalvadore merchant family. The current head of the family was Aldo Xalvadore, who they were calling father. He controls 5 major trade routes for silk and jewelry in the country. The country noblemen regard him as Lord Aldo and treat him well.

His first daughter Elena Xalvadore was born to his first wife. He was disappointed because he wanted a son to get hold of the family business. They tried again but after the second daughter, Isabel Xalvadore was born, his first wife couldn't conceive anymore.

He married again in hopes for a son when Xavier was born. Aldo was happy and everything was fine but as Elena grew up she realized that no one cared for her at all. Her father didn't let her get involved in the work line even though she had various amazing ideas for success. Elena was a trade genius but her talents were wasted for many years. Her step brother bullied and teased her and everyone ignored. This all led her to become a person who held no empathy for others.

Then came her salvation. Aldo Xalvadore was on one of the trade routes when he rescued a young boy, little older than his own son. That boy was Leo. He was bought back to the family house and given to Xavier to be a servant. Xavier had other servents so he sent Leo to serve Elena out of pure goodwill, Xavier didn't hate Elena, he sometimes did have his fun teasing her but he never did anything to harm her. His only mistake was getting in her way to being the heir since he was a boy.

Elena saw that, although Leo was older than her, his brain was like a scared child. He needed comfort and love. Elena saw an opportunity and she took it. She started to make Leo rely on her, like helping him sleep without nightmares, grooming him into a puppet that can't function without her. Leo had a very troubled life as an orphan. He was physically and mentally scarred. It was to be thankful for that he didn't get any physical disability.

Leo would do anything Elena told him. For Leo she became his saviour. When he was with her the child that was hiding behind all that firmness would come out. Later she planned to slowly take over the family business and impress her father using Leo as a puppet. Her father was still set on Xavier, so she planned to ruin his reputation in front of father doing many shameless things but that didn't work either. Later she killed Xavier by convincing Leo to poison him. Aldo couldn't do anything. He taught and handed all the matters of the family to Leo who was groomed and controlled by Elena.

Later Elena became the official heir when Leo transferred the seals of ownership to her. At this point she married Leo who was still mentally unstable but was a firm man when looked at. This allowed both of them to takeover many different trade routes in other countries and become one of the richest merchants in the era.

Killed by a psycho for family business. Great. "Snow do you purposely chose these worlds with psychos who want to kill me?"

"Master I can't know the story of the worlds before entering."

"Okay okay whatever. I feel more pity for that Leo guy. He became the sacrificial goat it's sad. I want to let him live a normal life, since he is a protagonist I have to make him "fall from grace" no?"

"Master, it is necessary to make the human source code who is completing the world to fall from grace and you take their place. The second protagonist Leo does not have a human source code so it is fine, whatever happens to him. Only Elena shouldn't become a known merchant."

Shu XinYi was a bit happy with this. He didn't want an innocent guy to face penalties just because he was vulnerable to control. Leo was 23 this year while Shu XinYi was only 18. With the words he heard right now it seemed that Leo was a 14 year old child listening to his angry mother. Who knows how that Elena controls him.

Shu XinYi thought of the things he would do and actually sleept until they reached their destination. He heard a husky male voice say in a scared tone "Elder brother Xavier. please wake up." Shu XinYi woke up from his sleep and saw a pair of pheonix eyes that were too familiar to him. Without even thinking he said "LiFeng?"

Shu XinYi was startled by his own words. He looked at the whole face which although handsome but was nothing like LiFeng. But the eyes, too similar.

"LiFeng? No elder brother Xavier. It's me Leo. Master Aldo is waiting for you. The carrier will be arriving at the Morris residence soon." The timidity and shyness in his voice from before was gone. He looked like a fierce and cold young man. Nothing like a servent. Nothing like he had just been shaking and begging Elena to save him. Shu XinYi lightly l nodded his head and waved his hand. Leo left the carrige leaving him alone.

He was trying to calm his nerves. This was too much of a coincidence, he thought. He got out of the carrier after looking in the mirror. He was tall almost 6ft with neck length hair tied in a ponytail. A fair handsome face with peach blossom eyes. He still looked like a boy but his aura beamed maturity. His clothes told him that he really was rich. Even Leo wore nice clothes.

He fixed his mannerisms and got out of the carrige walking to his father. "Duke Morris, Is he a special client of ours? Father" Aldo Xalvadore is a fine gentleman who rarely personally visits a party to deliver the goods except for when he has to make and maintain contacts. This time they were personally going to deliver the goods to Morris household , so Shu XinYi questioned.

"Yes, this courtesy is something worth negotiating for the 3rd pass route access." Father replied.

"I understand your intentions father. You can remain relaxed I will make sure your time traveling here doesn't go to waste." Shu XinYi had already looked into the world background throughly.

He walked for a bit, alongside his father then looked towards where Leo was walking Elena on her horse. "Father pardon me questioning. Is there a reason you bring Leo and Elder sister Elena along today?"

His father looked at him and smiled "Xavi I have been an ignorant father haven't I? I created these differences between you and your sister. Are you upset that I brought her along?"

Xavier smiled gently saying "Father I am not upset at any decision you make. Elder sister Elena and I are not distant. It's merely facing our own childish dilemmas that we have come to part for the time. I hope Father doesn't blame himself for our foolish acts."

Aldo patted Xavier on his back with a proud smile on his face. Shu XinYi nodded his head and walked his horse towards Elena and said in a polite tone "Elder sister Elena, the sun is at the seams a lady like you shouldn't be traveling in an open sky. Leo guide Elder sister back to the carrige."

Elena hated this control, she hated being treated this way. She looked at her father who seemed to agree and politely followed Leo. That's why she controlled and sometimes even tortured Leo to make her feel good about herself and that she too can be in control. Leo walked her back to the carrige. Once they were inside Elena said in a serene voice "Leo look now because of you Elder brother scolded me. Maybe I should not be around you."

"Sister Elena! please don't leave me please. I .. you can punish me. Like last time here hit my hand but don't leave me please." Elena smiled at this reaction. This is how people should wither under her. She touched Leo's cheek saying "Leo I don't want to leave you but brother Xavi he... "

"He what?" Leo asked with fear.

"Leave it, it will only make you hate brother Xavier. In your eyes he is a good man. I don't want to ruin that image." Elena said sighing.

"No I don't care, If he is a good man then he won't make me leave. You can tell me anything, I believe you"

"Brother he... commands me too much. I listen because I am a good sister who doesn't want to disappoint him and father, but what if he commands me to leave you." Elena said in a gloomy tone.

"No he will not. I will talk to him. You don't have to worry ok. If you are sad or angry just shout at me ok, so you are not sad anymore." Elena smiled and nodded caressing his face. She liked this too much. Having control over him.

Shu XinYi had not seen this but he heard it through Snow. He was more than disgusted. Shu XinYi hated it from the core of his heart. If it was any other person being controlled like this, Shu XinYi would have only felt pity but right now his whole being was in a mess. He didn't try to understand his strange behavior thinking that it may be just the weirdness of the situation.

Shu XinYi got back to his senses as they finally arrived at a large Mansion gate. A person in a noble attire was waiting for them along with some servents. "Evening Lord Aldo. We finally meet. And this is?"

He asked looking at Shu XinYi. Shu XinYi smiled and put his hand forward bowing a little saying politely "I am Xavier Xalvador. Pleased to meet you Mr.Morris. I will be the one presenting today I hope we can see eye to eye." His father didn't interject and let him be the presenter.

Morris was pleased with this greeting style and welcomed them inside the mansion. Shu XinYi personally introduced all the products they had brought in today. The clothes were all of fine quality and the perfumes were full of rich sweet fragrance.

Mr.Morris was impressed with the products and the boy. He knew the Xalvadore family needed access to the 3rd pass which was in control of the Duke's maternal family. He obviously could give them access so he wanted to see what the merchant was capable of first.

"Lord Aldo, Young Master Xavier you have traveled far allow me to be a good host for tonight. I am sure we have some more things to discuss. Albert take all these servents to the servent quarters and give them proper treatment for the night." Morris motioned for his butler Albert to take the servents that came with Xavier, to the servent quarters.

Shu XinYi saw Leo's face visibly pale. Shu XinYi's heart hurt. Just how much did he suffer and how much did that witch Elena, control him that he can't be away even for a single night? Shu XinYi really hated Elena for using Leo like this, he will definitely make her suffer worse. Shu XinYi ignored his looming thoughts and said "Leo where are you going, Mr.Morris I am sure you can arrange one more room for Leo here."

Mr.Morris looked confused for a bit but then agreed since it wasn't a big deal. "You can rest for now, I will send someone to call you over at dinner. If you need anything just call for a servent." Shu XinYi nodded saying thank you and walked to the room Mr.Morris showed him to.
